I know mistakes happen but it's the response that matters.They made it right in the end. I had to inflate all when I got home as they were 6# less than the truck specs and 11# less than the tire specs. I had an absolutely terrible experience at Take 5 Oil Change. They failed to properly reinstall the…read moreoil filter gasket, which ripped, causing oil to leak everywhere. Just five miles down the road, I smelled burning oil, and my low oil pressure light came on. When I pulled over and popped the hood, I found oil sprayed all over my engine. I immediately called Take 5, and they said they'd call me back. Twenty minutes later, I got a call saying they "think" the gasket ripped and that someone would come fix it. An hour later, an employee (not a manager) showed up, confirmed the issue, replaced the gasket, and refilled the oil. The manager refused to come out and deal with the situation, which speaks volumes about their professionalism. For all this trouble--being stranded on the side of the road for an hour with my 4-year-old, the risk of serious engine damage, and my car now smoking like crazy--I was "compensated" with a $10 bill and a coupon for a free car wash... at a location that doesn't even have a car wash! No sincere apology, no real effort to make things right, and no accountability from the manager. I paid $139 for an oil change, and now I'm left wondering if my engine has permanent damage. Absolutely unacceptable. I will never trust Take 5 with my vehicle again.
