They helped me get a tow, suggested I talk to my insurance about reimbursement for the tow (good call, I can submit for a reimbursement!), looked at AND fixed the car on the same day. The prices were reasonable especially for the amount of work that was done and how quickly they did it. They even had to go pick up a special part for my car. Their communication and customer service is the best I've ever received from a auto shop. To top it off, they gave me a little bit of a discount off my total bill which was a nice surprise. We took the car back in the morning. The manager/owner Jerry couldn't believe it and apologized and did not charge for the repair. Then we go to get oil change and tires rotated. My son came home and said he thought the car felt funny. His mother goes for a ride and immediately takes it back. The wheel was falling off. The children that work there never tightened the wheels properly. This last time which was a week or so ago we took it back to have it looked over before my son goes on a road trip. $1700 later my son again drives home with no brakes. Again no one is test driving the car after repairs. They will tell you they did though so BEWARE! You can't make this stuff up. Take it back in the morning, this time they said a plastic brake line cracked like magic and another $250. Again, owner or Manager refused to get on the phone. He told the Service writer at the front desk that he would only speak to my son or his mother. Why? Because they don't know much about cars, and he could BULLSHIT them. Being in the automotive business for over 30 years I can tell you that this is definitely not the place to go. It's all about commission and speed there. No customer satisfaction focus. How they stay in business is beyond me. Definitely do not recommend this Service Station. Stay Away!

My issue was fixed in just a few hours. If they don't have a part on hand when they start work they will go out of their way to find it. On February 5th my husband went to start our explorer, and it wouldn't start. He had it towed to a…read morelocal auto shop called L & S Automotive located in Flagtown, NJ. When talking to the owner/mechanic he informed him he thought the starter needed to be replaced. The next day the owner called saying that he changed the starter, and burned it up while trying to start the vehicle. He also tried with a crowbar to turn the engine and it wouldn't turn, that it was metal on metal and locked up. So he diagnosed the engine was ceased up. He wanted us to give him the title so that he could scrap the car in payment for the work and time he had put into the car. My husband said he needed a day or so to decide. I talked to a mechanic friend of mine, and he was interested in the vehicle as he has a good motor that he can install in my vehicle. So we told my friend he could have it as long as he worked out a payment with L & S for the work that they had done. I turned in the plates, so that I could take the insurance off the vehicle. Several days later my friend towed the vehicle to a work area, and on inspecting it found the starter to never having been touched. He also grabbed the main serpentine belt and turned the engine over one revolution, by hand. He proceeded to install a new starter, and the engine started right up and has been working perfectly fine since. This shop has two certified experienced professional mechanics. Either this shop is the most incompetent ever, or they are committing fraud and possible theft by deception. I recommend everyone stay away from this place.

I finally found Steves Tire Service thru Yelp and decided to call them. The rep told me to come back at 4pm which i did (3 hrs later) . They took my car in exactly as they promised and the worker checked my tire thoroughly , fixed my leak (from an older plug), check the pressure in my other tires (without asking) and put air in as needed. The worker was very helpful and amiable. I was charged 25$ and i left him a 5$ tip. Will return to do business with them again.
