This was the most BEAUTIFUL pizza I have ever eaten... and if I'm being honest... the BEST Detroit-style pizza that I have ever had! I keep seeing this exact pizza all over by feed. It's exactly what I've been craving! Motorhead is known for their Detroit style pizza... What is Detroit Style Pizza, you ask? Detroit-style pizza is a rectangular, Thick-crust, pan pizza with a chewy and crispy texture. The signature characteristic of Detroit-Style is the crispy, caramelized cheese crust and toppings all the way to the edges. Here, they use the highest quality of Italian flour, yeast, and olive oil. Made with organically-grown California tomatoes and fresh herbs. My BESTIE and I called in and ordered their Gold Rush Pizza. It has garlic white sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, topped with parmesan cheese, hot honey and fresh basil. We were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. There isn't an actual dining area. It's a warehouse, and they share space with a catering company next to it. It was hard to locate in the dark, but we managed. I didn't realize when she said all their pizzas come in one size... an 8X10, she really meant 8X10!! Almost the size of a sheet of paper.. and I was a little thrown off by the price and the size... together. She was very sweet and you could tell she liked working there. I loved that she said they love making their pizza's beautiful! DO NOT LET THE SIZE FOOL YOU . Let's not forget THICK CRUST!! QUALITY TOPPINGS, and lots of them! The CRUST IS DELICIOUS! It was fluffy with a crisp! EXACTLY WHAT MY TASTE BUDS HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR! The toppings are stacked with pepperoni & sausage, drizzled with hot honey and finished with fresh basil... PERFECTION!! If I could change one thing, though... it would be that they would have some kind of dining area. Although the taste, the look, and service was perfection, I did not get to enjoy my pizza hot and fresh from the oven. We waited until we got to my house. I can not wait to try their other pizza's! Motorhead Pizza is worth every penny!!!

What a find! Easy to order, absolutely delicious pizza. We had the My Grandpa Tony with added hot honey, and the Gold Rush. Both pizzas were packed with flavor and the crust was perfection. The house made spicy ranch was also to die for. We will definitely be back!

We finally made it over here from Carmichael and it was worth it 100%!! Everything on the menu sounded delicious but we played it safe for our children and got a pepperoni and a cali club. The flour is imported from Italy and you can absolutely taste it! It was probably the BEST Detroit style pizza I have ever had! Absolutely our new favorite in the Sacramento Area. The gentleman who took our order was very kind and patient with my small children accompanying me. He even threw in some delicious cookies for us for free, when our order was ready. We will definitely be adding this place to our family favorites and returning soon! Highly recommend.

So don't be me this place is take out only ! Lesson learned but I still needed that glorious looking pepperoni I saw in the reviews. They put a ton of pepperoni on their pizza and it gets that crispy edge I love. The staff here was exceptional. Very friendly and happy to answer questions. If you like deep dish and pepperoni it really is great here!

Absolutely phenomenal flavor , ingredients and service. I read the backstory online about this being a married couple who have a little pizza shop in an industrial complex. It was so charming and heartwarming, and the pictures and reviews told me this was not to be missed. So I ordered online and took the 35 minute drive into Loomis to pick up my pizza. I figured I'd be walking into a small little area very quiet with a little old couple behind the counter and I was looking forward to chatting with them about their lives. When I got there, it was an even smaller pick up area with the whole business space dedicated to the cooking area, and there was a line out the door. All the chefs and front desk people were hopping! The place was super busy and it smelled incredible- I told the chef where I had come from and he threw in some free cookies for me to try! So kind, so delicious, so worth the drive. Can't wait to try more of the flavors.

Motorhead Pizza does Detroit Style pizza crust perfectly. Crust edges are crisp and cheesy. The restaurant is located in Loomis in an industrial area with businesses associated with cars. Its location seems fitting given its association with Detroit. Look for signs directing you to the restaurant. This is a To-Go restaurant only with no dine-in. There are two 5-minute parking spots for pickup and other parking lot spaces. When you enter the restaurant, you'll see a metal shelf where the finished orders are. Check in with an employee to get your order. You'll be offered parmesan cheese or chili flakes. I ordered a recommended pizza, the Gold Rush. It had tons of pepperoni. I couldn't really taste the garlic white sauce, sausage, and hot honey. The fresh basil is only good when you first eat the pizza. If you reheat it in the oven as leftovers, it will burn, so try removing it, setting it aside, and placing it back on. I wasn't successful figuring out how to reheat the pizza. 350 for 7 minutes turned out best for me, but still not quite right. Pizza is 8" by 10" cut into 6 squares. 2 pieces was a good serving size for me. Most of the pizzas run between $22.50-$25, which is not cheap. Dipping sauces (i.e., Ranch, Spicy Ranch, Calabrian Chili Hot Honey, Blue Cheese, or Buffalo Sauce) cost extra and have varying prices. These are other Motorhead pizzas I'd be interested in trying in the future: CALI CLUB Garlic white sauce, smoked bacon, ham, roasted chicken, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and green onions ABE FROMAN Garlic white sauce, Italian sausage, mushrooms, garlic confit, green onions, parmesan cheese VEGGIE Red sauce, mushrooms, red onions, black olives and green bell peppers, parmesan cheese COMBO Red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives, red onions, mushrooms topped with parmesan cheese The Yelp photos and reviews of the Motherlode pizza show and mention a lot of toppings for meat lovers. The Triple Chocolate Sea Salt Cookie is yummy. Cookie is small with a 1.5"-2" diameter. $0.95 per cookie or $8.50 for 10 cookies as of May 2025. I think 2 or 3 cookies per person would be a good dessert serving size.

Drove way out to Motorhead Pizza since my Michigan friend was extolling the virtues of Detroit Pizza and I had to know what that was. Smelled delicious in the car on the drive home. Friend gave it a thumbs up! I deemed it tasty, even tho' I don't know the nuances from one pizza to the next.

I really enjoyed my pizza! We were visiting this area and happened to see Motörhead Detroit Pizza. This is only a Take Out spot with one outdoor seating for 2. This is my second Detroit style pizza, so far I really enjoy this style. The pizza is thick crust lined with crisp cheese. I am vegetarian, so I got Fun Guy. The staff was prompt and knowledgeable. He offered plates which were great, because I took the boxed pizza to the nearby brewpub.

11/15/24 - WOW! This is the BEST pizza I've had in all of Placer & Sac County; seriously it is. Very friendly service.. Located in an industrial area, no inside seating, when you enter it looks like an industrial kitchen. They offer takeout and delivery only. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and one soda and sat in our truck....it was delicious. They gave us paper plates, napkins and Parmesan cheese They also gave us two chocolate chip cookies that did not look anything special, but those were absolutely delicious too.

Drool....behold, the California Club...check out how beautiful it is!

Omg, lovers of a) Detroit Style Pizza (and honestly, any style of pizza), AND b) supporters of independently owned and operated businesses that help support local commerce and the folks in it, GET YOURSELF A PIE (or two!) OF THIS AMAZING PIZZA ASAP!!!!!! Again, my fellow YELPERS never let me down from the recommendations and praise of this little gem's fantastic pizza, obviously made with upmost love and quality ingredients (and, I'll add a TON of them!!) , to where my husband and I decided to drive to Loomis on a Sunday afternoon to give it a try ourselves! First of all, my advice is to call your order in after you time your trip to pick up your pies, since this is a takeout establishment only, it's not an actual dine in restaurant, unless you live closer to get it delivered. Since their choices of different flavor combinations of their various styles of pizza all sounded SO good (And since we drove close to a half an hour to get there), we decided to get 2 pizzas to try for our first visit, knowing we'd have enough left overs for pizza the next night! We chose well---we got the Motherlode and the Cali Club. Both were simply amazing...one had white garlic sauce and the other red sauce. These pizzas are very deceiving to look at, they are on the smaller size, but, don't let that dissuade you folks who have hearty appetites--this pizza is thick and has so many fresh, delicious toppings that one pizza easily serves two, in fact, I could only eat 2 pieces of the 6 squares of pizza you get from one pizza! The dough is light and delicious, and the ingredients were top notch! I love the fact that they grate their own cheese (SUPER important for the MOST flavor), and use Tillamook brand mozzarella AND cheddar cheeses on their pizzas!! The staff that took our order and assisted us during our pickup were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs there, too, which is a plus as well. We will definitely be back to try some of their other pies and I'm so happy to know that when we are craving a high quality Detroit pizza, we have access to the best out there!!! The price was extremely fair for craft pizza, made with love, vs most other well known pizza establishments I've been to. You simply get what you pay for here! Now, go and get yourself a remarkable Motörhead pizza and enjoy every delicious bite!!

Delicious! So good we stopped in the parking lot to enjoy the hot pizza! Great flavor and texture. A lot going on in every bite. My husband and I split one and it was very filling. Keep that in mind when ordering. The tomato, stone fruit, and mozzarella salad were excellent too. Very gourmet Easy ordering process and quick pickup. Only issue was grubhub never updated to say the restaurant was working on it so we called and were told it was already ready.

My buddy just brought us here on the way home from a job. He said the pizza was "pretty good" he didnt tell me it was gonna be the best pizza I've had that I can ever remember wich it was.. crispy crunchy on the outside soft and light crust inside.. I got the BBQ chicken with bacon.. Ive never eaten a pizza so fast in my life.. and the 3 young ladies working were polite and efficient.. If I could give it 6 stars I would. It's kind of back in a commercial area so not a place you would normally find a pizza place but don't let this deter you.. this pizza was fantastic read more

I live in San Francisco and I love Detroit style pizza. There are good Detroit style pizza places where I live but Motorhead Pizza is even better. Their pizza is generously loaded with flavorful toppings (I got the combo) and the crust has crunch yet soft with good chew. Owners/staffs are super friendly and their home-made spicy Ranch sauce is so delicious on my pizza. Their cookies are also yummy. I am looking forward to coming back and trying other flavors. read more

Their system was down and I only had enough cash for one pizza and a subpar tip. We were trying to figure out what pizza to split and they said don't worry about it, we'll cover it. So generous. On top of that, they kept offering their cookies, wings, and salad. We humbly accepted their offer of the cookies. While waiting, they brought us water too. Service was excellent. ALSO, the food was delicious! One of, if not the BEST, pizza spot in Placer County. Looking forward to a Roseville expansion. Thank you Motorhead for a great first experience! read more

We did not enjoy it at all. Very bland dough. Tasted like bad French bread with very unfresh ingredients. For a delivery only restaurant it was delivered cold. Ate one peice and tossed it. I wouldn't leave such a bad review normally but it was expensive for pizza. $75 for two pizzas that ended up in the garbage. read more

This is a hidden gem. Great service, and delicious pizza and wings. They do have one table outside, and if the brewery is open next door you can grab a beer while enjoying your pizza there. Don't let the limited seating options stop you from going. I'd be happy to eat their pizza on the hood of my car, it's so good. One can enjoy their Detroit style pizza anywhere. read more

Second time ordering from DoorDash we live in West Roseville wish there was a way to get it hot after paying all the extra fees. No Brussels sprouts on the menu this time was disappointing. Ordered a Cesar salad and the driver said they asked if it was all there restaurant said yes but unfortunately no salad. DoorDash felt the best resolution was to refund 7 dollars out 115 and that person isn't eating now! Sad!! read more

Never had Detroit style pizza before but I will be coming back for more. The pizza was awesomely delicious. The size is only a 8x10 and on the pricey side at first..... but it was worth every penny. A Thick kinda of fluffy, not dense, but airy and a super caramelized crust. They do not skimp on the toppings. Gold Rush was on point. Can't wait to try them all. read more

Who knew there was such a gem of a pizza shop amongst industrial buildings in Loomis?! Maybe I just missed the memo, but I was pretty excited! Great place to pick up a pizza on the way home from various sports in Loomis. Was bummed I only got to try one pizza (gold rush, delicious albeit a bit spicy) so far, but I'll be back!! In 2025, it's hard to find great customer service. A lot of people just don't seem to care about their jobs or people especially in the service industry. It was so refreshing to see how much this business values their customers. They were so friendly and welcoming. My kids are huge fans due to the free cookies they threw in. Don't get me wrong. The pizza was great, but the service, that really stands out and I'm here for it. Can't wait to come back and try another pizza soon! read more

There is a reason this place has 5.0 stars on Yelp with hundreds of reviews. What an incredible "off the beaten path" find. If you're a local, this is your new regular pizza place. Phenomenal ownership, but the food is where they win big. The pizza is absolutely fantastic. It blows every other pizza joint out of the water by a long shot. Highly recommend the Gold Rush that comes with the hot honey drizzle, and the house made herb ranch is the finishing touch. Best pizza I've had in years. Grab a couple of the choc chip cookies while you're at it, the sea salt finish is unreal. No need to post photos because the pizzas all come out looking exactly like they do on the website. Make an excuse to go try it if you haven't yet! read more

We stumbled on Motörhead Pizza about a year ago and, wow... game over. This is the best pizza we've ever had. Yes, it's a little pricier, but it is worth every penny and maybe even your first born child m. It's takeout only, which means no awkward small talk with servers -- just grab your pizza and head to LBBs to wash it down with an Alohawk like the classy human you are. And listen, do not skip the chocolate chip cookies. I'm a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur (self-appointed, but still legit), and these things are ridiculous. My husband and I almost got divorced over the last cookie. read more

We were really looking forward to trying this based on it being Detroit style, which we love. When I saw I could order on Door Dash we placed an order for the Spicy Roni and the Chicken BBQ. First issue was ordering delivery when we are in Rocklin. It took the Dasher about 20 minutes to get to their location. I assume the pizzas were sitting there for a while based the delivery person getting to the location. Our pizza was luke warm. Based on their location, if it is Delivery, they may wait if they can until they know the driver will arrive. I could see on the Door Dash app the driver was out there. Not sure what the solution would be. The Spicy-Roni was tasty, they were definitely skimpy on toppings. We found that on both Pizzas. Taste was good on the Spicy-Roni but again limited on the toppings. The BBQ Chicken just didn't taste good. Really the only taste was bacon and the ranch drizzled on top. Very little chicken and overall toppings. May try again and pick up ourselves and allow them to get more time with their process. With deep dish, topping ratio is critical. Would not get the Chicken again but would recommend the Spicy-Roni. read more

So this is a pick up or delivery pizza place only. But is is 100% worth getting. We got The Motherlode. It was piled with meat. The crust is thick but light. When I picked it up I said it was my first time and I had read the great reviews. I was told "well you must try our homemade Ranch dressing to dip pizza and our cookies ". OMG. the Ranch dressing is AWESOME. I definitely recommend getting the dressing (I want a gallon). The Chocolate Chip chunk cookie also yummy. The area is like a business area with picnic tables in front and a the end of that road is Loomis Basin Brewery. The service was 5 star, food 5 star. read more

At almost closing time, my son and I rolled into Motorhead Pizza in Loomis, CA, just before closing time. We half-expected a cold shoulder, but the owner greeted us like old pals, tossing a joke our way that had us cracking up. "Sure, we'll whip up a pizza," he said, totally chill about it. This joint's got vibes, man. Takeout-only, but it's like they bottled up the essence of a good time. And get this--on top of killer pizza, the owner slides us two free cookies. Who does that? I am DEAD serious when I say this is the best pizza I've ever had in my 20 years of life. I've been getting the gold rush and it is definitely one of the best here, if you're a ranch lover like myself be sure to get a spicy and regular ranch to go with they're both amazing and they don't skimp you on the amount you get, everything is well worth the price in my opinion! We won a free pizza and couldn't wait to go back! We tried the spicy jalapeño, combo pizza, buffalo wings AND my hubs received a complimentary chocolate salted cookie because he made them laugh the combo was great as always, it's topped with all the things and the crispy edges make it over the top good! The spicy jalapeño with the spicy ranch drizzle wow, what a nice kick! I am a saucy girl and whatever magic they added, chefs ! The wings were good but the cookie, On my gosh! It's more of a Focaccia cooked to a perfect golden brown with amazing toppings. If that's a negative for you, so be it. For me it was a delight! It was our first time so we got all the popular stuff, BBQ chicken, peppperoni (adding hot honey), garlic cheese bread and the sea salt cookies. Everything was 5 stars. Besides the lettuce mix you got a choice of ham, eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, cucumbers, mushrooms and much much more. Well I created a salad, then went to the Pizza Buffet (As small as it is) and grabbed the BBQ Pizza and then the Sausage and Pepperoni pizza. I had 2 slices of Pizza and Salad and then I grabbed my drink a Wild Cherry Pepsi. I'm very impressed by this place because 1, while the Buffet was a bit small, the staff was very friendly and even though there were dishes on the tables, which gave me the indication that they were a good place to eat at because others had eaten there too, I'll most certainly come back. What was most noticeable was how many people were waiting for tables while service moved at an incredibly slow pace. Based on the pictures they posted on Yelp, I was expecting a lot more as the pizza I received had maybe 1/3 of the same amount of toppings. Cost is about in line with what you get but hey it's 2024! They should not have the pies with all the toppings pictured which is the reason for the lower review. read more

Stumbled upon Motorhead Pizza today - what a find! Tried the Detroit-style pepperoni and the cheesy garlic bread, and both were absolutely delicious. The owner was super kind and even tossed in some warm chocolate chip cookies that were so yummy. Totally loved the style, can't wait to go back! read more

Great crispy pizza and nice little shop. Affordable and the owners are very friendly. Would definitely recommend. BBQ chicken is the best.
