    Root beer
    Jackson F.

The service is the best here. There are 7 of us and they put us at a bigger table than the original place we were seated at. They also fixed the wobbly table we had. The drinks are so good. The root beer has a little bit of cinnamon in it. It tastes good but the cinnamon is really strong so you kinda have to sip it. I suggest that they pull back on the cinnamon in the root beer. It looks like a regular cozy western bar. One of the employees even fixed the tv just so we can actually watch it. But it's just the normal sports network. The ribs were really good. The rub tasted so good and rich. They were tender but juicy. I would get the ribs again just not the root beer. The root beer wasn't that good because of the cinnamon flavor that they put into it.

Great spot! Plenary of seating. Attentive staff. Drinks were yummy. The non alcoholic beer actually was delicious! Potato salad: yum! Side salad was bigger than your average side salad. Vinaigrette dressing was tasty. Meat platter gets 4 stars. Chicken, tender. Brisket: tender, flavorful. Tri-tip: dry in my opinion. Won't stop me from going again!

Love coming to this place. It gets packed very fast so be cautious. Food here is very good and fairly priced. Has indie and outside seating with heaters for when it's cold at night. Love the nachos here. It's my go to. Great bartenders as I always get an ol fashion.

Great service, food, and beer! My husband and I enjoy LBB beers and decided to check out the gastropub location for dinner. We ordered a salad and the fries with pulled pork. To drink, we had the Taco Cat, alohawk, and Loomis lite. My favorite is the Alohawk! For those who don't want a beer, there are also craft cocktails using quality spirits. It was busy, but plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I liked that they had misters on the patio. Plenty of parking. Great place for a date!

We came out here on Friday night after dropping my daughter off somewhere in the area and wanted to grab some dinner. We found this place and decided to stop. There was a bit of a wait, so we decided to sit at the bar and wait for our table. The manager took our order, and he was very nice and very helpful. He answered all of our questions, gave a couple recommendations, and even gave me a sample of the potato salad, and a sample of their root beer that they make in house. We decided to go with the wings (half Korean and half buffalo) They were amazing. I preferred the Korean, but both were really good. Then we got the meat plate, with tri tip and brisket, with a side of chimichuri fries and potato salad. The brisket was really good, tender and fell apart. The tri tip was also good, but it was sliced pretty thick and not quite as tender. Still very good though. The potato salad is a German potato salad, so it doesn't have mayo in it. Ive never had this kind of potato salad before, but it was really good. the chimichuri fries were also good. This was more than enough food for the 2 of us to share. The table next to me had some really good looking food, specifically the nachos and the Cuban Sandwich. I would come back here again for more brisket, but also to try a sandwich and the nachos.

We came to Loomis for my son's baseball game after being on the field all day we wanted a good meal to eat. I wanted to see what Loomis had to offer for food so Yelped helped me pick this place . This location was near a park my kids got to play at while waiting for our table . Parking here was easy there was plenty of spaces to park at. The wait was not bad less than 20min I believe . While waiting I went to the bar to grab a drink Emma was very friendly and made me an amazing drink . They have a nice outside area which feels more like inside it has covers and heaters on top . I liked that they have a big kids menu . The prices are very reasonable since the food portions are very generous so be ready to share. I liked how attentive my waiter was, but I just didn't like getting my check in the middle of eating my meal. I was still going to order another drink and dessert, but I felt pretty rushed since I got my check. I would had liked if she would've asked me if we were done ordering before giving it to me. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time here.

Great, family friendly bbq place in Loomis. Indoor and outdoor eating. The delicious aroma of bbq in the air. Hot crispy fries, the best tender meats, full bar. I had the Caesar with chicken on the side ~ it was amazing! Stephanie was our waitress and she was great!! Super friendly and great customer service!

10/24/25. WOW! The service was great and the food was excellent! I had a Cuban sandwich with fries topped with chimichurri, absolutely delicious!!! Husband had the pulled pork with regular fries. CONS: They only offer 1 BBQ Sauce, We like more of a smoky BBQ sauce, theirs is sweet tang. Didn't care for it. You should have a couple of options of BBQ sauce for your smokehouse. Also, the hostess needs a refresher on friendly customer service... Smile/ Engage with customers.

I finally got to sample LBB at their restaurant. I've only had them at work parties so it was very cool to check out their brick and mortar. The place has a mixture of covered outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of seating for the droves of folks coming here to have some of the best BBQ around! The service is paced well and firendly. They got me samples of the beers I wanted to try and didn't rush our order. I had the distinct problem of having to choose just one item from then menu. I really wanted to try the Alabama Sandwich but opted for the sampler: The ribs are St Louis style which is my fave because is the meat to bone ratio. The ribs were nicely smoked and coated with just enough bbq sauce to make them craveable. The texture was just right ans each bites had smoke, seasoning and sauce. I could eat these for days. The brisket was soft, smokey and full of flavor. I hit it with a touch of their bbq sauce and I was set. I could tell the smoking technique here is next level. By far one of my favorite slices of brisket I've had. I was also a huge fan of the Cole Slaw. The balance of creaminess and acidity was excellent. It provides a great compliment for the smoke and spice of the meats they serve. Their craft brews here they serve are really good. I had a pint of the Red Robin Ale and it was delicious. It was a great example of a red ale that had a touch of sweetness. Good choice to chase down all the smokey goodness. The Haka Hazy also tempting as it was made with New Zealand hops. I will save that for a next time. Cause there will be a next time I guarantee it.

Ask the Community - LBB Gastropub & Smokehouse

    Do they offer catering?

Hi Catherine! We don't currently offer catering service, but we can offer bulk to-go orders with enough notice. Please give us a call at the Pub for current availability! 916-824-1527

    Do they offer take out?

Unfortunately like many restaurants in the area, we are currently facing a staff shortage, and so we can not at this time offer take out options without putting too much strain on our kitchen staff. We hope that this will not remain the case for too…

Do I need a reservation for a party of 6?

Probably not a bad idea if it's on a busy night or during busy time - the place gets busy!! I wouldn't say it's mandatory, you just might have to wait awhile if you don't.

    Is this place pet friendly?

    Yes!

    Is it kid friendly?

Yeah there's always kids there when we go. I think there's a kids menu as well.

Stopped by Buckhorn for the first time for Father's Day lunch. Great joint for pretty good BBQ!…read more Buckhorn is an order at the counter and get a number type place. The line was long when we came in, but moved quickly. The bigger problem is that there aren't nearly enough tables for how many folks were dining in. We did end up finding a table on their patio- which is always a win for our family. For about $70, we got two kids' meals (one slider and one chicken tenders), a shareables order of the tri-tip tacos (that my wife ate as her entree), and a two-protein platter with the pulled pork and tri-tip. They asked how we wanted our tri-tip cooked, and we answered medium, but all of the tri-tip came out well done. The flavors of everything were good, though, and the portions are substantial. The kids' meals are a great value. The two-protein platter was enough for two meals if you wanted it to be. The tacos were filled generously and were very tasty. I enjoyed the coleslaw- though I read some others find it bland. I did not think that at all. I really enjoyed the selection of sauces available at Buckhorn. They have a pump-your-own-sauce station with several types of BBQ sauce, horseradish sauce, ketchup, and spicy ranch. Yum! My favorite was the mustard-based BBQ sauce. Overall, I would totally return to Buckhorn. I could probably lean 4 stars here, but I think it's a better spot for BBQ than many others in my area and in the Roseville area that I've tried. It's certainly made my Roseville area visit list.

The service at the counter was very pleasant then you go into make your own sodas. My wife had the tri-tip burger and her tri-tip was grisly. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was Sahara dry. Even generous amounts of bbq sauce couldn't save it. Bbq sauce not bad though. Cole slaw for the sando was also pretty good. The highlight of the visit were the OG fries. Huge plate suitable for sharing across 2-4 people...If we ever went back, it would be for cold beers and sharing a plate of fries....

I was there to try the food goods created by the smoker and whoever does this delicious array of foods. There were many options to choose from in their heated display case. Burgers, breakfast burritos, brisket sandwiches, ribs... I think there were a couple more options, but I couldn't decide on one. So I went with some smoked pork ribs and a brisket sandwich. It was $28 & change. It felt a little on the expensive side for 4 ribs and a sandwich. However... it was damn delicious!!
