Decent value when craving barbecue. First time trying a restaurant in this area. Pleasantly surprised. I appreciated the location. Plenty of parking. The restaurant has outdoor seating and an interesting set up inside. As you walk in the bar is to the right with the kitchen in the far back. You have a small area with larger tables. Just to the left you have another room but smaller tables. At first my part was seated in the room with the small tables but knew our order, so we requested to be moved. Thankful there was a party that just left. Nachos with add-on brisket - we devoured it. There was a decent ratio of toppings as well as a healthy amount of brisket. Large pieces mostly hidden under the chips. This could be a meal on its own. 1lb fries with pesto and pulled pork - I wanted to like this. A generous portion of pulled pork to match but it was dry. The pesto aioli sauce didn't elevate or add anything. Just a subpar plate of fries. Three meat platter / double brisket (asked for fatty) and trip tip. Brisket was good, a little melt in your mouth but was lacking the smokiness and true bbq flavor you'd expect. Still a good protein. The trip tip was okay. It was cooked more than I'd like yet still a decent protein option. I def used the available condiments to elevate each bite. One thing to note - they charge for ranch, aioli sauces. Nothing that will break the bank but it would've been nice if the server mentioned it before serving us several containers of them. Overall a decent bbq spot. Is it the best? No. Is it good for this area? Sure. I'd come back for the nachos and the meat platter. Decent value for the amount of food. We walked away with leftovers which is a win in my books. read more

This one just wasn't for us. It smells divine and is extremely popular as evident by the pre-opening line that wrapped around the building. We ordered nachos and side salads to get a feel for the place. The salads were okay, though they were plated in tiny bowls making it impossible to dress/eat without spilling on the table. We decided to ask for larger plates and dump the salads on those instead. The nachos were a gigantic portion with freshly made chips and looked promising. The flavor, however, was lackluster- mostly tasting of oil from the chips and the too thick layer of cheddar cheese. We picked around the plate, but eventually gave up. We won't return, but it seems plenty of others have found something they enjoy from this restaurant. read more

The service is the best here. There are 7 of us and they put us at a bigger table than the original place we were seated at. They also fixed the wobbly table we had. The drinks are so good. The root beer has a little bit of cinnamon in it. It tastes good but the cinnamon is really strong so you kinda have to sip it. I suggest that they pull back on the cinnamon in the root beer. It looks like a regular cozy western bar. One of the employees even fixed the tv just so we can actually watch it. But it's just the normal sports network. The ribs were really good. The rub tasted so good and rich. They were tender but juicy. I would get the ribs again just not the root beer. The root beer wasn't that good because of the cinnamon flavor that they put into it. read more

Great service, food, and beer! My husband and I enjoy LBB beers and decided to check out the gastropub location for dinner. We ordered a salad and the fries with pulled pork. To drink, we had the Taco Cat, alohawk, and Loomis lite. My favorite is the Alohawk! For those who don't want a beer, there are also craft cocktails using quality spirits. It was busy, but plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I liked that they had misters on the patio. Plenty of parking. Great place for a date! read more

We came out here on Friday night after dropping my daughter off somewhere in the area and wanted to grab some dinner. We found this place and decided to stop. There was a bit of a wait, so we decided to sit at the bar and wait for our table. The manager took our order, and he was very nice and very helpful. He answered all of our questions, gave a couple recommendations, and even gave me a sample of the potato salad, and a sample of their root beer that they make in house. We decided to go with the wings (half Korean and half buffalo) They were amazing. I preferred the Korean, but both were really good. Then we got the meat plate, with tri tip and brisket, with a side of chimichuri fries and potato salad. The brisket was really good, tender and fell apart. The tri tip was also good, but it was sliced pretty thick and not quite as tender. Still very good though. The potato salad is a German potato salad, so it doesn't have mayo in it. Ive never had this kind of potato salad before, but it was really good. the chimichuri fries were also good. This was more than enough food for the 2 of us to share. The table next to me had some really good looking food, specifically the nachos and the Cuban Sandwich. I would come back here again for more brisket, but also to try a sandwich and the nachos. read more

We came to Loomis for my son's baseball game after being on the field all day we wanted a good meal to eat. I wanted to see what Loomis had to offer for food so Yelped helped me pick this place . This location was near a park my kids got to play at while waiting for our table . Parking here was easy there was plenty of spaces to park at. The wait was not bad less than 20min I believe . While waiting I went to the bar to grab a drink Emma was very friendly and made me an amazing drink . They have a nice outside area which feels more like inside it has covers and heaters on top . I liked that they have a big kids menu . The prices are very reasonable since the food portions are very generous so be ready to share. I liked how attentive my waiter was, but I just didn't like getting my check in the middle of eating my meal. I was still going to order another drink and dessert, but I felt pretty rushed since I got my check. I would had liked if she would've asked me if we were done ordering before giving it to me. Delayed review from January- Stopped into LBB Gastropub & Smokehouse to grab a stamp on my Sac Beer Frontier passport. I've been a fan of Loomis Basin since they first opened at their original tasting; I believe my first time to the tasting room was back in 2011, and I even did an all-grain home brewing class there at one point. Given the history, it's exciting to see how well they've done and even expanded in such a competitive market. The place was super busy and packed on a Saturday, but I still managed to cozy up to the bar. Love the setup here: a nice interior space plus a big patio with misters for the hot days and heaters for when it's cooler. Food-wise, I had the Dirty Grilled Cheese, which was tasty and hit the spot. I also sampled a few beers: - Night Wolf Dark Lager - really good and warranted a full pint - The Haka - not my favorite, but light and super easy drinking for a hazy IPA - All Good Hazy - solid New England IPA, just not my style - Tasty Waves - great West Coast IPA, one of my favorites of the flight, and also deserving of a full pint Overall, great atmosphere, good food, and a solid lineup of beers. Loomis Basin has always been a favorite, and I'm glad to see them thriving in this space. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. I sat at the bar and met Alex. Very nice guy! I had the two meat platter with ribs and brisket. The ribs were very good. Fall off the bone and the rub was very tasty. The brisket was good, but the ribs were so good, the brisket took a back seat. They offer a Great selection of beer and very good, quality spirits. Terrible service. We live in Loomis. Walked up to 10 empty tables. 4 hostesses were talking to one another. Had to introduce myself as a customer. They told me it would be 15mins to be seated when I was literally looking at many open tables. I finally got to sample LBB at their restaurant. I've only had them at work parties so it was very cool to check out their brick and mortar. The place has a mixture of covered outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of seating for the droves of folks coming here to have some of the best BBQ around! The service is paced well and firendly. They got me samples of the beers I wanted to try and didn't rush our order. I had the distinct problem of having to choose just one item from then menu. I really wanted to try the Alabama Sandwich but opted for the sampler: The ribs are St Louis style which is my fave because is the meat to bone ratio. The ribs were nicely smoked and coated with just enough bbq sauce to make them craveable. The texture was just right ans each bites had smoke, seasoning and sauce. I could eat these for days. The brisket was soft, smokey and full of flavor. I hit it with a touch of their bbq sauce and I was set. I could tell the smoking technique here is next level. By far one of my favorite slices of brisket I've had. I was also a huge fan of the Cole Slaw. The balance of creaminess and acidity was excellent. It provides a great compliment for the smoke and spice of the meats they serve. Their craft brews here they serve are really good. I had a pint of the Red Robin Ale and it was delicious. It was a great example of a red ale that had a touch of sweetness. Good choice to chase down all the smokey goodness. The Haka Hazy also tempting as it was made with New Zealand hops. We have been there just a couple times, the food has been very good! Excellent meats, and crispy delicious French fries. Service and ambiance are good too! I wasn't hungry today and just had their tomato Bisque, it was very blah, zero flavor. I recognize soup of the day is sometimes not the best, but really, they could buy TJ's soup in a carton and add some garlic powder and Italian seasoning, and a sprinkle of parm, and I would think it's gourmet! Cambells canned soup might be better. I scooped some of the remnants of my husbands Chimmachurrie fries into it, and it was much better! Tomato bisque should have a little flavor, or a little touch of cheese on top, something. That was the only disappointment though, with everything else so good, seems so easy to make a tasty soup. read more

Oh. My. God. I love this place. From the tri tip sandwich to the nachos I love it here. The waitstaff is incredible and the bartenders are so attentive. The restaurant is clean and the waitstaff and bussers always make sure to keep it clean. They have a wonderful selection of spirits as well that you can add on to any of their cocktails. read more

Really good food but the service isn't great. Granted they were busy, but I think it's a poor system. They brought coffee without asking if we wanted cream (we did and it took a long time to get it) and then we asked for a side of sauce (after we ordered but before we got our food) and they finally brought it after going to the staff two more times to ask for it and then one more time to cancel it since we were nearly finished eating. Seems like they need to prioritize bringing things like that to tables that already have food - it's like you are putting in a whole new order in to get a simple side of sauce. read more

First time here. Easy to find parking on the street even though the restaurant was very busy at 2:00 pm in a Sunday. The wait was going to be 20 min but we went into the bar to get some iced tea and we could sit right down at the bar and were able to order food, as well. My husband and I shared two meals as multiple things sounded delicious. We ordered the ribs with the potato salad and the Cuban sandwich with a green salad. First I must say their iced tea was delicious. Nice and strong just like I like it. The ribs were perfectly juicy and tender with a dry rub. You then have the choice if you want to add the vinegar style white sauce or regular bbq sauce that is on the table. The Cuban sandwich was delicious. The pork was so tender. It also came with a huge pickle. All the employees were so friendly and if I was the owner I would be thrilled. The people behind the bar, as well as elsewhere, were stocking, filling, keeping busy when not helping customers. They were also so friendly to each other. They all seemed happy at work. I don't normally write reviews, but my recent experience was disappointing enough to warrant one. The food itself was decent, but the service--specifically from our waitress--was unacceptably poor. From the moment we sat down, it was clear she had no interest in doing her job. We were barely greeted, had to flag her down for everything from water refills to placing our order, and when the food finally arrived, she dropped it off without a word and didn't return to check in once. There was no apology, no explanation, and no effort made to correct her laziness or lack of basic hospitality. At one point, she was chatting with staff at the bar while customers--including us--were visibly waiting for service. It wasn't busy enough to justify the neglect, just a clear case of someone who didn't care to do their job. Service is a core part of the dining experience. If management allows this kind of attitude to go unchecked, it reflects poorly on the entire establishment. I hope this is addressed, because otherwise, the food won't be enough to bring people back. read more

We showed up right before they opened with a big group and in a rush to get some food before heading to the airport. Manager got us served quickly and on our way. Food was good. Around 2:00 PM we were seated and water was delivered promptly. After over 10 minutes of no service, had to ask the hostess where the waitress went. She showed up shortly afterward and took our order and beer was delivered fairly promptly. She came back after a bit to inform us they did not have any "half rack" ribs, but could supply 3 ribs if we ordered them with the sampler plate. So, we ordered the 2 item sampler; ribs and chicken, which both were very good. After a about another 15 minute gap of no service or follow up, had to go find the waitress, again, only to find: there she is, with another 5-6 staff chowing down - Oh, that's why there wasn't any half rack ribs. Obviously more important for the staff to chow down and tell guests there aren't any half rack ribs available. Also, it sounded like a full blown construction site happening with grinding and whirling going on that was unbelievably loud. This was our first, and last time. read more
