    The pesto sauce pizza

The interior is not super Italian pizzeria style, BUT, the food is super tasty and delicious. I've been to Milan, Venice, Rome and tried pizzas there. And now I can surely say today I had the same quality pizza here in Loomis and it was the best one so far in NorCal. The service was great and pizza was ready in minutes. There is a huge pizza oven with burning wood inside, kids loved seeing how their pizza was being made. I've seen some reviews mentioning pizza size is for a single adult and I would agree with that. Next time will try salads and desserts.

A decent, casual pizza place with excellent pizza and underwhelming service. I came in with my family, on a pretty busy evening, but we were all very underwhelmed after being asked to tip before our order was delivered, gave a generous tip, then wait over 40 minutes for our pizza. We realized that the couple that came in after us was finishing up and we were still waiting for our first slice, so I brought the problem to the servers attention. They didn't seem to know what was going on, and I wasn't given an estimate on time. I suggested they comp my sister a cider given the bad delay, and the server just walked off, no response; no apology. I understand that restaurants get busy, and mistakes happen, but the unperson service really distracted from what could've been a great experience with very tasty pizza.

Went here for the first time and the place and i was surprised by their huge wood fired pizza oven that looked like it was from Italy. The wood really adds a great flavor to the pizza when they cook it. They have traditional Italian Neapolitan pizzas, Detroit pan pizzas and even calzones. For the appetizer I tried the garlic sticks and the dough was amazing but a bit too much olive oil for me. I'd skip on the garlic sticks and try some of their other appetizers next time. A lot of folks got salads and they did look really good Now for their margherita pizza, this absolutely blew me away with how good it was. I can't believe a small shop in Loomis has pizza that tastes just like Italy. My husband was born in the UK and has had Italian pizza several times and says it tastes pretty authentic. I did ask for some chili oil to dip my crust into and absolutely delicious. You can taste the freshness of everything and their crust was made perfectly thin on the bottom and perfectly crunchy at end. To end the meal my husband and I tried the Spumoni and Stracciatella gelatos and they were both delicious. I will absolutely be coming back and this is by far my new favorite pizza place in the area

Okay this place has been on my list for a while now. Inside everything was clean and organized with some wall art and a classic older picture of the owners it was a nice touch . The staff was very nice and attentive they kept checking on us. The way it works you order at the counter and get a number . They offer Wood-fire pizza's as well as Detroit style. They offer wine , beer, and bottled sodas. I got a delicious salad to start off with then we got a Wood-fire pizza and Detroit style. I have to say my favorite was the Wood-fire one . It was crispy and delicious. For dessert we got a cannoli and gelato ice cream. I also got the affogato I have to say everything was delicious. I would definitely be coming back again .

I highly recommend the Detroit Pan Pizza #1 with pepperoni, chili flakes, hot honey, fresh basil, and Parmesan. Soft and fluffy pizza bread with a crispier crust. The marinara sauce added on top is so fresh and yummy that I now want to order their Spaghetti Marinara with Meatballs! There's a Margherita Pizza daily lunch special from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm Tuesday to Saturday for $9.95 + tax. No additions or substitutions. Very thin crust. Pizza cools fast if you leave it out and take pictures too slowly like I do, so eat efficiently. If ordering to go, keep the box lid closed as you're eating to retain heat. I asked what Dita Sauce is: butter, garlic, parsley, and olive oil. December 2024's $18 pizza special is the Polpette Pizza (house-made meatballs, roasted onion, marinara sauce, mozzarella, chili oil, parsley, and Romano cheese). Check Instagram for the Monthly Pizza Special: @il_pizzaiolo Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean with tables spaced apart.

Great pizza, friendly staff, would come here again! It got immediately busy after we ordered. First come first serve, so come early or call for reservations.

My honest review of Pizzaiolo.... I can somewhat say that I know a little about pizza since I worked with pizza back in the 90's. My expectations were high for Wood Fired pizza and came in with that thought when ordered my food. Friday afternoon was a little busy, inside was loud, line was a little long but moving fast. Went over the menu and my wife ordered a #2 Margherita and I had #6 Rosmarino w/ chicken added. Pizzas were ready in about 22-25 minutes which is understandable for a busy day. Now onto the food:.... My pizza came in and they forgot to add chicken which was $3 extra... of course they had to remake it.. 7-9 minutes later my pizza was ready. I'll be plain and simple "IT WAS DISGUSTING"! Chicken was chewy, the white sauce was gross, bottom of pizza was paper thin max 3mm thick... literally I couldn't even eat it. Returned my pizza and asked to remake me a Margherita Pizza which was ok! My opinion is if they read this review please make the bottom a little thicker 3/16"... you can easily do that by reducing the amount of dough from the sides. Again onto my pizza.. the sauce was ok, amount of cheese is barely noticeable, sides are too thick. I was expecting much better pizza according to the reviews and I'm very disappointed. Maybe will give them another try during their happy hour 11:30-3:30,... who knows maybe the pizza quality will be better. On the positive note the service was great. Girl at the cashier was nice and working hard keeping the line moving. My final & honest take: Pizza 1 Star Service 5 stars Price 2 stars

Love this place! This is my second time here and it's so good. Staff is really nice, food comes out fast, great quality ingredients and the pizza is delicious. My favorite dish is the meatballs with garlic bread to slop up the sauce. Will I come here again? Definitely

Is the gluten free pizza also wheat free?

Hi Katrina, Thanks for your question. Our gluten free crust has no wheat flour in it, however, there is flour floating around and while we aim to keep the gluten free pizzas…

What is the size of the pizza?

About 12" round but thin crust so it's really for one adult or two kids.

Inside the decor is black and white and overall has a modern vibe. The employee greeted us when we walked in but didn't offer to take our order. Then she left to the back and we saw there was a kiosk to order from to the left of the cashier area. I did notice there was a line forming after I ordered since there was only one kiosk. There were 3 people in line and one of the employees came out to turn on a second kiosk. The kiosk was taking a while to load and I felt like the employee could have just started taking orders instead of waiting for the kiosk for good customer service instead of keeping people waiting. I guess some businesses just only use kiosks for ordering now. Their menu offers matcha, coffee, and sparkling soda drinks in addition to various flavored sundaes - matcha, ube, banana, strawberry, boba, and coffee. I went with my partner and we ordered the honey sundae to share. The description said it's made with local honey. It came with a piece of honeycomb. The soft serve is made from Hokkaido milk and it is silky and smooth with a subtle sweetness. I prefer Asian desserts since they are not overly sweet and it was not overwhelming sweet. The honey paired well to give it some sweetness without being over the top. The honey flavored sundae was probably the most simple compared to the other sundae flavors but still delicious! The sundae was a big amount and was enough to share between two people! I don't think I could have finished it myself! They don't skimp on the portion size. Overall, I would defintely come back to try more sundae flavors and also I want to try their matcha drinks!

Just looking through the case of all the amazing creation. Basically fancy donuts. One after the other. They also had a few savory items included. Didn't get any but they looked amazing. We ended up going with the bad bundles. Half dozen donuts and 20 piece staxx. Found out that's what people were waiting for when we walked in. Everyone was waiting for them to come fresh out of the oven hence the long wait. It did take a while for us but we were offered a cookie to try while waiting. I was pleasantly surprised by their unique take on a lot of items. I'm actually pretty surprised they're doing well out here. It's a small shop and there was one person running the whole place when we stopped in. She was taking orders, making drinks, and getting everything out herself. Maybe I'm just an antique, but at a small independent business like this, I don't expect the same scripted greetings and customer-service theater you get from a giant chain. She was busy, efficient, and got our order out without an issue. That's good service in my book. The menu is genuinely interesting, too. You can tell they're trying to do something different rather than serving the same recycled stuff you can find every few blocks. Everything we tried was good, and the kids were happy, which is ultimately why I stopped in. Small businesses like this are operating on razor-thin margins, especially in an area dominated by chains, so I appreciate finding a place willing to take a chance and bring something different to the neighborhood wether they deserve it or not. I'll happily come back and hope other people give them a shot too.

She said she would contact her bank and still confirmed my order. Just two days before my daughter's birthday party, the owner told me her family had norovirus and offered to either make the cake or cancel with a full refund. I appreciated her honesty and chose to cancel since the cake would be served to many children. Having to find a replacement cake only two days before the party caused me a great deal of stress, a parent planning a large birthday celebration, this added unnecessary pressure during an already busy time. Despite that, I remained understanding because I knew her family's illness was beyond her control. The owner asked for other ways to refund me, I sent her my Venmo information and she promised my refund would be sent "in the next couple of days." More than a week later, I still have not received my $117 refund despite multiple polite follow-up messages. I also contacted my bank, but they explained they couldn't dispute the payment because it was successfully sent to her Zelle account. Since the recipient banks with a different financial institution, they couldn't investigate what happened after the funds were received. What frustrated me the most throughout this experience was the lack of communication. I never knew if or when I would receive a response. Sometimes I had to follow up just to get an update, and now my messages have gone unanswered altogether. A simple update would have gone a long way. I understand emergencies happen, and I genuinely appreciated the owner's honesty about her family's illness. However, promising a refund, acknowledging the payment issue was their responsibility and then failing to communicate or issue the refund has been very disappointing. As of today, more than a week after she promised to send my refund, I am still waiting to receive it and have not received any communication from her. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this bakery at all.
