The functionality, quality of workmanship, materials, and warranty were excellent. Plus - the top down, bottom up option is especially valuable for privacy when trying to maximize the quality of light for the room. Therefore, I hired Mike to install the same translucent cordless honeycomb shades (Enlightened Style) in the large front window at my home in Norridge. They are being used on three windows at the front of the house. For two bedroom windows in my Norridge home I opted for room darkening, bottom up only glacier white cordless cellular shades. Well that same day I had another company come out and quote me and I was quoted 6k! I was like oh wow, maybe I can't afford to cover these doors. So Budget Blinds called me the next day, and I said hey, I don't think I can afford blinds. She had me explain what I was looking for and she said, "I'm pretty sure we can beat that." So I was like cool, come on out. They sent Ryan out, who I believe is also the owner, and he was very nice, patient, not salesmenny and understood what I was wanting and pointed me to the exact blinds I picked out earlier with the other group. His quote came in at $2900. Wow! So I was a little nervous there had to be a catch or that install would be terrible. 4 weeks later, the installer comes. I can't remember his name, but he was the nicest kid, and he did an amazing job, asked me to take a look in the middle of the project to make sure I was happy. It was just a really great install. There's no sales pitch, used car salesman tactics, demonstrations that have little real-world results, etc. With other Window companies, they push their "Cadillac" windows that give a marginal performance increase for an exponential cost. Not with Best Windows. I knew beforehand they installed Kensington brand windows. They started with the manufacturer's basic line. I inquired about the mid-level line and John provided his input on why he didn't think they were really worth the additional investment. John's pricing was straightforward. There was no "oh you get a Yelp discount" or "oops I forgot to add a window to your quote, I'll throw that in for free." It was refreshing to talk to a non-pushy company for once. We went with John and his installer Chris put them in our home about six weeks later. Took about a day and a half. His crew showed up about an hour earlier and were super fast! The windows are awesome and have already saved on my heating bill this past winter.
