I was sent a confusing PDF brochure for Larson doors to browse that had no prices listed. I had to call and email a few times to finally reach my salesperson again and get a quote. I picked a couple of doors to compare only to be told one isn't available in my size. The quote finally came through as one generic line item that was more than double what the big boxes had quoted me. It didn't even split out the door and the installation charges. At any step of the way they could have simply told me my order wouldn't meet their minimum threshold and saved all of us a lot of time and effort. I ended up giving my money to a big box store. Ironically, I've been blown away by the customer service from the box box employees/contractors every step of the way - everyone I've spoken to or has come out has been extremely responsive and friendly. I hope they're being compensated fairly because they're definitely working hard.

After the install, I had a question about one of the windows since it looked like there was a small crack at the top corner and they sent someone out to look at it right away. It turned out it was just some glue residue that was attached on the inside of the window that made it look like a crack and was easly scraped off with a razor blade. I definitley recommend using Semko as they provided a very reliable service and also beat out many other window companies with their competitive pricing.

He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. Here's how they stood out: They had excellent communication. From Angelo's estimate all the way to passing inspection, they were on top of their game. The estimate had every combination of options listed with exactly what they were going to do and photos of the planned work. We were assigned a field supervisor (Justin, I believe?) who would come out on the same day to inspect any issues we brought up. Our contact with the office via Cindy and Anthony was also superb and always timely. The work was done swiftly and well. The roofers were done before I got back from work. Siding and gutters are more involved, but they did excellent there as well and Roman et al. were excellent to work with, took feedback very well (see communication above), and were very hard and efficient workers. All in all, we were done with our project long before other houses in the same subdivision who had all signed up with doorknocker companies, and they delivered a high level of quality. To be clear, their estimate was slightly higher (my gut says 10% higher, but it's been a while since I reviewed the proposals) than some other offers we received, but for the work that we were doing, level of customization, and communication, we wouldn't make a different choice. We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.
