I have been extremely happy with National Energy Contractors. I have had them out on two different occasions: once to replace siding and another time to replace our roof. Having a background in environmental education, the first time I meet with the owner, Peter Gatsch, I was very impressed with his knowledge about energy efficient products. My goal was to replace our siding with a more energy efficient siding to minimize our environmental impact and also bring down our energy bills. The employees who installed our siding were on time, detail-orientated, and cleaned up after themselves. We did ask after the siding was complete if the flashing around our back door be replaced, and Mr. Gatsch had the guys do that, too. On top of a great job, Mr. Gatsch did not want a dime until he knew we were 100% satisfied with the job. Because my experience with the siding job was very positive, I had them back to replace our roof shortly thereafter. Mr. Gatsch helped my husband and I in the selection of our roofing product. During the installation process, the employees were again very thorough and cleaned up after themselves. I really love how our house looks now and have received many compliments from my neighbors. I definitely think our energy bills are lower, too! I've already referred them to two friends who have both been happy with National Energy Contractors. Just after one friend's job, my friend posted on her facebook page how impressed she was that the workers were wiping the fingerprints off the siding they just installed. Few years ago, I called National Energy Contractors as they were referred to me by my friend. They did an awesome job for the windows and the sliding door on her house. I called them to set up an appointment. Peter, the owner, showed up and was very kind and knowledgeable. Peter was easy to talk to. He introduced me to different types of windows and then I picked the best fit for me. The windows, sliding door, and the door to the garage looked so good. We inquired about a note came from the village inspector, and Peter was able to return our call with a solution within 24 hours. Over the holiday season our sliding patio door had unfortunately suffered irreparable damage. After hearing about National Energy Contractors from a neighbor, I immediately gave them a call. I was very impressed by how smooth the transaction went. I called looking for information on a quote, the lady on the phone was very informed about replacement options and reassured me that this is normal this time of year and being somewhat a time sensitive issue, she could guarantee someone at my home the VERY same day for a quote. This is the second time I've used this company for home projects first, for window work and most recently for a deck. Both times they were fast, effective, reliable, and very trustworthy. Communication with the owner, Pete, was smooth from start to finish, the quality of the work was outstanding and his team was respectful of our property (I've had other contractors tear up my yard and leave rocks or litter). During this project I had forgot I was having guests over but after talking to Pete and his team they finished ahead of schedule and my deck was ready the next day to entertain. We got phone calls to confirm when the work would start and they started on time. They cleaned up daily. We have used them twice for jobs (to 4 areas of our home) and both times out they did everything as stated, for the amount quoted, in an efficient, timely, and clean manner. I was actually just doing a search to get their # to contact them again to quote another job and saw this site - The other review I saw on this site is clearly someone that did not use them. Considering our home is a far north suburb and they are located in a western suburb, they was accomodating and always willing to discuss our project plans and even work with us on steering things to fit our budget. We had some work done in 2019 (in Illinois) that was exceptional so when I bought my new home in Indiana I called them in. We got new windows, siding, gutters, fascia and soffit. I also got a sun-room. My bay window was just what I had imagined it would be. I am a very demanding and picky woman. Peter answered all my calls and kept us updated on what was going on.
