Booked an appointment through their website over the weekend for Monday at 8am. At 8:44am I got an email from Damian that he can't make it. No problem, I thought. I did book over the weekend so I can see how the appointment would have slipped through the cracks. He offered 11am that day but I wasn't able to make that time. I responded at 10:30am suggesting a virtual visit or to find another time. No response. I followed up again. No response. I texted the number associated with the appointment. Again, no response. Honestly, even just saying "hey we are busy right now and cannot handle your project" or "we are not interested in this project" would have shown some common courtesy. It was so brazen not only for the amount of time that they ask you to hold but also because i received two confirmation emails earlier in the week, including one from a person named Damian. My frameless shower doors came out great! I'm glad I used these guys since they're glass specialists and know exactly what they're doing when it comes to glass showers. I recently moved and have dealt with a ton of companies lately that involves home improvement. I keep my expectations very low since most of these companies are hard to reach, over promise and under deliver. With that said, Ultimate Glass Art blew my expectations away and is one of the best company I've dealt with. I was very happy with Ultimate Glass Art work. And i would recommend everyone to use their service without hesitation. I have received services from multiple contractors as a part of my condo renovation in Chicago (and it my first condo and i feel everyone is out there to rip me off) - and true, i was sooo disappointed by the lack of professionalism, get it done and gtfo attitude, and exorbitant prices they charged for these kind of shitty outcome of their services! However, working with Ultimate Glass Art. has changed my mind and made me believe that there are people who actually care and want you to get the result for your money and leave you happy. Here is Why: 1) Free consultation - (10 out of 10) Damian's dad came over to measure the shower entrance and discuss the hardware and design for my project - he did an amazing job measuring walls and the bottom of the floor, he was very thorough and he was the only one guy out of 4 contractors who actually told me about the problem with my walls not being straight as well as the bottom pedestal my contractor build.... which was awesome to know and it made sense to actually install a rail vs clamps as he recommended as well as a few other recommendations i found helpful regarding the height of the glass. 2) installation - (10 out of 10) Damian came over with his assistant on the day the Ultimate Glass promised to deliver on day 1 when i paid a deposit - which was great since i couldn't wait to see my bathroom completed and the glass was the final part (and no one does things on time it seems around here - my vanity delivery was 3 weeks delayed so you can imagine how much i hate to wait by now)! Damian and his crew member were very professional, quick and most importantly respectful - they cleaned everything before leaving told me what they were working on when i stopped by to check the process and explained a few things about installation You could tell that these guys were really into what they do and they treat my project the same way they would treat the project if it was in their home. I discovered ultimate glass originally on Instagram. Seeing their great photos and work i decided to phone them and inquire about getting a new sand blasted shower glass door installed in our remodelled bathroom. Prior to phoning ultimate i had conversations and quotes with a few other glass companies that day. My conversation with damien went very well. He took the time to explain prices and gave me an estimated quote over the phone. He was way more knowledgeable than anyone else i had spoken to that day not to mention he completed my sentences before i even had to explain what i wanted. He also went through explaining product varieties such as the clear glass vs the green tinted glass. He was a pleasure to speak to and never rushed or pressured me for business. His prices were better than competitors and he was able to send his father mike who works with the company for field measurements that day (actually within half hour of my phone call). Mike brought samples of the glass products and a book of their products so i could pick hinges and handles for the shower door. He measured quickly and had a great positive attitude the whole time he was in our home. I received the final quote the night of and it was almost exactly as much as i was estimated prior to measuring. Damien forgot to charge us for the sandblasting and decided since it was his error he did not charge us. Which shows amazing customer service. We originally were going to buy our own shower handle but damien had access to the handles through his business and offered to buy it for us at cost. The shower door was ready within a couple of weeks (sandblasting took a bit longer otherwise it would have been 8 business days) My husband wanted to be home when the work was being done and damien and his worker made a trip outside of their install hours around 4pm to install the shower door. They came prepared with all their supplies. They drilled into our tile with no issues. Put hinges into the shower wall. The door fit like a glove. We really appreciated how they came prepared with blanket like floor covers to avoid messing up our new floor tile. Once they were done they cleaned up. I wanted to also add that my husband wanted a resolution to our other shower number 2 water leaking and damien gave us a clear strip of plastic and installed it for us for free while he was there installing our other shower door. (Most companies charge for this) He was also able to give us advice on how to clean our old shower door in bathroom 2 to save us some money. Businesses like this suceed because they dont rip off their clients. They do a great job, give the best prices and the owners are involved in the installations. Then service is quick, friendly and professional. We will be using ultimate glass again for the glass in our entertainment unit area in the living room and a door in our living room! We were exceptionally happy with everything and would refer these guys out anyday and everyday! read more

I went with Ultimate Glass based on the positive Yelp reviews. I am really surprised that they are all so positive because my experience was not. They were initially very prompt to measure the door and accept our down payment (October 11). After two weeks went by (they said to give them one week to fabricate the glass), I emailed to try and schedule installation. Unfortunately, a terrible accident occurred in the warehouse, and all the plates of glass broke, including mine. What a disaster! Oh well, another week and I'll be top of the list. I follow up again a week later, and Damian at Ultimate Glass says they are going to "pull some strings" to get my shower installed "early" for me (It's October 30). Fine. I plan to work from home to let them in, only to be informed that the pieces delivered were nickel, not chrome as I had specified. And "please don't hate me!" Damian insists. Uh huh. Not to worry - they are going to overnight the pieces and we're all set for the next day. The door installation took FOUR hours. The guy was here from noon to four. He shows me the door and takes off. I'm thinking we're all set, but something looks off. By the time my husband gets home, we pull out a level and see that the shower pane is completely bowed from the middle, making it appear crooked. After informing Damian of this, he tells me that there are only two glass fabrication companies in the state of Illinois and both have it in their contracts that glass companies must accept all glass, regardless of if they are bowed. And that he'll fix it, "free of charge". Wow - you'll fix the mistake you tried to pawn off on me and not charge me extra? Wonderful. OK. Now it's November 12th and I'm following up. No response. November 14th. No response. November 15th - emails and phone calls. I let Damian know that if we don't hear back from him, we will have to call another company (honestly, something I should have done two "mistakes" ago). He gets back to me and lets me know his uncle died, and he's out of state. But he'll look into it. By the end of the day, can you guess it? Another terrible error! His guys lost my paperwork and never put in the order for the replacement glass. But for all my troubles, he's going to give me a discount. November 21 and the same man as before comes to replace the glass. Damian said it would take 30 minutes to change it out. The guy is here for almost two hours. He leaves and I get an invoice from Ultimate Glass. Over a month of back and forth, tons of errors on their end, and they take off $100. My favorite part, the invoice thanks me for "a prompt payment". At the end of the day, the shower door looks fine. But logistically and ethically, these guys are a nightmare. read more

We were looking at shower walls on line and were getting ready to settle for a home depot solution when we discovered Ultimate Glass Art. We decided to check them out as they were near by. We made an appointment and were incredibly impressed with their showroom and knowledge of glass and their understanding of what we wanted to do. They followed up with an estimate that we anticipated being way out of our price range. We were wrong. For a custom built to size (measured on sight- prior to production) glass shower wall that was professionally installed it was worth paying a little bit more than off the shelf. They were incredibly cool to work with and the end product exceeds our dreams. We also threw them a curve and asked them to make some custom shelves for our shower niche and they ended up perfect as well. If you use UGA you will get Artist quality results without paying pretentious gallery pricing. If i could give them more than 5 stars, I would. read more

I wrote a great review when I first had my shower doors installed and I stand by my initial experience being awesome with this company. However, I had an issue in March, about 5 months after initial install, when the pandemic was first starting where there was water leaking all over my floor. I reached out to Damian twice about it to see if he could come fix it or had advice on how to handle and had no response. I chalked it up to it being the very beginning of the pandemic and maybe they were not working. I hired a handyman to fix it. Fast forward to December, and the shower door shifted and was hitting the stationary glass to the point where it wouldn't swing anymore. I reached out on their website for help and never heard back. I gave ample time through the holidays and well into the first week of the New Year in case they were busy but still haven't heard back. A great company needs to stick with their customers if there are issues in the first year. read more

Fantastic looking shower doors and customer service. Damian and his father, Mike, were super responsive and it's clear they know what they're doing with how long they've been in business. Their quote was the best straight off the bat and they were upfront and honest about all aspects of the job. They also had the quickest lead times from measurement to install. Other companies will try to scare you with talk of "bad quality hardware and unsafe glass blah blah" but it's all a sham. We had two frameless showers installed by UGA. One was a standard panel/door, the other a custom floor to ceiling steam shower enclosure with non-standard angles. Damian and Mike went above and beyond to customize the necessary hardware to make our vision a reality. Updated one year later. Our shower door hinge detached from the wall again--the same problem Ultimate fixed a year ago. The problem is likely not Ultimate's fault, but with our wall. However, Damian has been IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH. I've called, texted, and emailed continually for 5+ weeks, after 10 days got an email that he would come by in two days, then NOTHING. I had a frameless custom shower enclosure + door made and installed in my guest bathroom. The price was reasonable. Damian communicated quickly and thoroughly: we were able to negotiate the job by my sending him specs and photos. His fathered was right on time to measure the work and he directed me to a site to select the hinges and handle and advised me on selecting them. He "got" what I was going for. I like that both of them communicate straightforwardly. There were a few hiccups with the installation -- a piece forgotten here, a piece to be redone there -- but the end result is what I care about. The job looks amazing: only three big pieces of glass, a couple brackets in the wall, a few hinges. Very clean, minimal, contemporary and striking. This place is great! 6 months ago we had a custom glass shower enclosure installed, and Damian gave us not just a great price, but a great timeline. Fast forward to today, I asked him to send someone out because the shower door was starting to rub against the enclosure, but he came himself free of charge and fixed the issue. Further, he waited for me to get to the house when I was running late, worked quickly but carefully, and even gave me a special cleaner for hard water stains the shower had accumulated. Summary: the person-to-person contacts are as superior as the mirror quality and workmanship, service is beyond reproach and pricing is more than competitive. Mike and Damian run a tight ship of fast responses, well-thought out recommendations, working in a close time-frame and they have really good support staff - that is installers. Oh and clean! That everyone everywhere was as careful with your property as UGA. Except for new gleaming mirrors there's no sign of anyone having been in the space. The mirrors themselves. I checked online and got the "three elements of quality mirrors": glass thickness, glass quality and quality and quantity of silvering. Damian must have laughed to himself when I trotted out these three requirements but regardless my mirrors are incredible. (Seriously my reflection looks 20lbs lighter than real life.) Extra attention to detail was a big part of their service. As Mike initially took measurements he showed me where surfaces weren't level, giving me time to get these areas made level so the mirrors fit seamlessly. The edges of the glass are finished, unusual because they're covered with channel (thin metal frame). I mean who needs a finished edge when it's covered by metal? I do. These mirrors will be hard used and I expect that they'll last for years and no one is ever going to cut themselves on an exposed edge. Some of the mirrors have outlets cut into them and OMG Mike or someone created mirrored outlet covers for each, How expensive do these look? Oh yeah. Pricing was excellent. Requiring over 40 mirrors ranging from about 2' square to 8' long by 3' tall be sure I shopped around. *Some places charge extra to remove old mirrors. Hmmm. If I could remove them I'd probably be able to install new and wouldn't need your services, now would I? *They don't offer weird and changing discounts when told you'll think about hiring them. Maybe the other companies hire unemployed car salesmen - I can't explain it but give me your best price and we'll both be happy. *The metal channel was part of the price when others wanted $500 more. *They accommodated an installation schedule outside of their business hours. *They schlepped these mirrors up and down four levels of un-airconditioned building. *UGA told me they would provide excellent quality mirrors and you can see they did. *Service was spotless from start to finish. *Their closest competitor wanted about $10,000. UGA was over 20% less. **AND removed the old mirrors and took them away too! My job was odd in terms of quantity and specifics but they aced all aspects so I know their work on everything related to glass and mirror is going to be unequaled. I look forward to hiring UGA again and again. Painless. Perfect. Priceless. read more
