Pete's rebuilt the E4OD transmission of my Ford pickup two years ago. At the time, it had about…read more160,000 miles and had been well cared-for, but was giving me trouble - not shifting properly, sporadic hard-upshifts, stalling the engine when Reverse was selected. This had been happening off & on for several years. Pete's initial diagnosis was "new pump and torque converter", but went on to recommend a full rebuild. I'm not sure what else that entailed (new solenoids, valve body, seals?) as it wasn't really explained, but I gave them permission to perform the extra work since the transmission would need to be removed in either case. The work was finished later than they anticipated - by several days, actually -but this wasn't a problem for me since I had alternate transportation. I've only driven about 1,500 miles since then, but the transmission has been nearly flawless. All of the forementioned problems were resolved by the full rebuild except for the sporadic hard up-shifts. Since I don't drive the truck very often, I called Pete's when it happened again. They didn't seem that concerned and suggested I bring it back for further diagnosis, without offering a reason what might be causing it. I've since learned that this symptom could be an issue with the PSOM in the dashboard, according to Ford owner websites on the internet. Restarting the engine clears the problem for the time being. Overall, I would give Pete's a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I've found them to be very approachable, have been in business a long time, and most importantly - they do very good work. All I would suggest is that you build-in some extra time in your schedule for them to finish.

Finally production was…read morefinished !! crossroads was patient with us from December to March with our questions, concerns, etc. Mike DiFiore was just the most pleasant person to deal with, made us feel comfortable and not a "salesman" type at all When we picked it up the team pleasant , friendly and informative even in the maelstrom that was their heavy season (Mike, Marie, Kim and even those we didn't deal with directly). The service team who showed us how to operate were awesome (and again Patient), even noting issues from the factory to address on our behalf and helping us unexpectedly deal with our own truck prep as it needed a brake controller installed when we thought we had one . Dan was an expert and very nonchalant about it like he could do it with his eyes closed...and probably could. Well, this weekend we were supposed to go camping but had a factory issue with the electrical Mike , the Service Manager got us in and fixed in a matter of hours (also fixing those factory issues noted initially because the parts came in) . For them to handle this on a Saturday, during the busiest part of their season speaks volumes. And again, everyone in the office was so welcoming and constantly try to feed you! There was no waiting on what the Mfr would say, they got us up and running and we didn't have to miss a work day to bring it there. If you're buying an RV , these are the people to go to, We traveled all over NJ and PA before we bought ours making sure the dealer was the right fit ,because with an RV, you need this more than with any vehicle and after 15 plus different dealers, Crossroads was it.
