My 2007 Dyna was stolen, got an estimate from a shop that told me nothing but lies and $15,000 price tag. Dropped it with Nick's a week later it was running great with a new front end for about $2000. Nick is trustworthy honest won't bs you, as a female rider Who didn't trust any shop, Nick's has a lifelong customer. This place is a hidden gem for HD riders. He has anything you need for your bike. They also service bikes in the back. Much better than going to the dealership for service. I'm sure the dealers would love to see this place go. But not only are the dealers to expensive but they are not convenient. read more

Called Nick's for a battery replacement, new tires, and a tuneup.... did not want to work on my cycle because it wasn't a harley. In fact they didnt even ask what i needed. Will not recommend. bob read more

I tried Nick's for a oil change and the service was great. Fast forward 8 months and I broke down in Williamstown on 322. The joint for the shift linkage snapped. I limped it to Nick's and he had me in and out in 45 minutes with a $35 bill. They have a customer for life. read more

I have been going to nicks with my father since I was born. Nick has a lifetime full of knowledge even including the new engines from Harley. This is the only Harley shop in America that literally will have what you came looking for every time. Very awesome place you must check out. Not what it used to be. I have been making an annual pilgrimage there for the last 7 years. Have had plenty of work done on my Road King and this year, I'm just turned off. Their prices are reasonable, always a better bet than going to HD dealer. They have parts for every year and model Harley and if they don't have it (which they do) they'll get it. They have a shop on hand for most of your work from oil changes and tune ups to custom frame work. You can walk in there, empty handed and walk out with a built bike, piece by piece. They don't paint or powder coat but they do have a guy and he is reasonable. JD is the only mechanic I have let touch my ride for the last 5 years, and I have had plenty of maintenance and custom work done, racking up 1500 dollars in parts and labor a few times. This year, 2500 was my budget and they spent every cent. I don't think I got what I paid for, this time, though. My first concern was rider safety and machine integrity then any money left over I wanted powder coating and replacement on some rusty parts. When I came to pick it up, I asked if they gave it a good once over, to be sure it was ride ready for a long haul and to my pleasure, they told me it was 100%. They were not honest with me. The front and rear tire were flat, 5psi. The switch connector for the fog lamps was not on correctly and the lights would not light. The switch was damaged (not by them but I asked them to look) and nobody told me the brakes needed changing. Those were the items I would have addressed first and let the custom stuff wait. What was insulting was that my bike came out FILTHY. Granted, it was dirty when I dropped it off as it had been outside for a long time. But when I dropped it off I asked if they can clean it up so it would be presentable. There's was an inch of crud on it. It looked like they did carpentry and ceiling work around it while it sat. To add insult to injury, JD told me, when he wheeled out my filthy and unsafe bike "I tried to clean it, but our soap and water don't work too good" I think I would rather if he just said, "you only spent 2500 bucks and left it here over the winter and we gave you bottom of the barrel service and don't really care" at least that would have been honest. It's a great place to check out with a museum and volumes of spaces to check out. Make the trip, if you can, it won't be there forever and once it's gone, it's gone. But be ware, if you aren't a local or a regular you might not get treated like royalty... Or with the respect a 2500 dollar price tag should garner. Enjoy!! read more

If you want something done right, and dont know these people personally already. Don't go here. If you arent a solid regular that's been going there for 30 years...dont expect decent treatment. My husband was there recently bc his father is good friends with Nick who my husband said was kind to him and asked another worker there to take care of him...well this other worker doesnt know my husband and even tho Nick said take care of him...he didnt. He was rude and stand offish... and when my husband asked to have to have something done the guy had the nerve to say "I'm gonna have to charge you." Like no shit sherlock...how insulting to say to someone! And what's worse is the guy rushed the work and flat out just didnt do what was asked of him RIGHT. A pointless drive to Jersey and hard earned money spent later...my husband is in the garage taking apart and correctly putting back together this guys work! What's the point in paying someone to have something done just to take it home and have to take it apart? Places like these should be more accommodating to younger and newer customers! You can't rely on 30 year regulars to be around forever. read more

I got a used bike from nicks , drove 67 miles and the motor seized , took it back , and Bob told me that the bike was bored to a 96 ci and had big cams in it , but he was rebuilding to back to stock for reliability , but what he did was take most of the good parts off and replaced every thing with old used parts , he did replace 1 of the cam tensioners with a new one , but left the read one in that looked like it had 60,000 very hard miles on it, he lied and ripped me off, NEVER TAKE YOUR BIKE THERE FOR REPAIRS , and I would stay as far from them as I could for any thing other then some obsolete parts that you would need for a older bike. read more

The other poor reviews don't surprise me; I went to Nick's and had custom work done way back when they started powder coating. Nick was an old buzzard with an attitude then and probably still is. Not sure why Nicks only has 2 stars on here...the place is awesome and they do great work without charging you an arm and a leg....I just got my '02 Deuce serviced over there by one of their mechanics, JD, & it's running better than ever. The best part is, if I would've had the same work done at a Harley dealership, I would've been charged double what it cost me to have it done at Nicks...the place is really neat. There are bike parts EVERYWHERE. Whatever part you can think of, I can almost guarantee you'd be able to find it there...the owner, Nick, is an older guy that's super knowledgable. With all the parts he has in that place, every time I ask him for something, no matter how specific or insignificant the part may be, he's always been more than happy to help & knows exactly where it is. I've been going there since 2004 when I had an '82 XLS Ironhead Roadster that no mechanic in the area other than JD would go near, and I've never had a bad experience. There's a really cool museum upstairs too...you won't be disappointed after a trip to Nicks. read more
