We always try and track down local breweries while traveling and discovered this one on our latest trip to Bradenton. Huge outdoor beer garden! We stopped in late one afternoon and they had just finished an event in the beer garden, but we were still able to grab a table. Service was prompt and friendly. My husband and I shared a flight and thought the beers were good, but nothing stood out as a wow. We had the kids with us and they ordered kiddie cocktails which were massive. Our server stopped by regularly to refill their glasses as well - impressive. We didn't stay long, but would definitely stop back sans kids for an evening out when we are in town. read more

This brewery does everything right. They offer an extensive list of brew on tap. Everything I ordered was slow sip worthy delicious. I started with the Mango Habenero IPA. Beware, its spicy! You can taste the hops, the mango and the pepper in a perfect combination. The Frostfang is now a new favorite Russian Imperial. I could have sipped that the entire chilly night. The Birthday Carrot Cake Brown Ale was a surprise. Somtimes these crazy brew go wrong. This tasted like liquid dessert but was not overly sweet. The Midnight Quartet was a coffee lovers dream. They do have the blessing of size which gives people options for enjoying thier night. They boast about the huge oak tree and it doesn't disappoint. Went last Friday evening to see Ari & the Alibis luv this band .. however we couldn't hear them the sound did not project into the space .. at one point the inside music was playing on the outdoor speakers during the performance .. the band however was not coming out of those speakers very disappointing We love Motorworks the food trucks could be better maybe some variety not everyone eats Smoked meat we will certainly give it another try hoping they fix the acoustic 's & maybe another food truck read more

Great atmosphere; Great Brews; Weird Dining Options Visited family in Bradenton, last week. I love Microbreweries. The beer and the atmosphere are the stars here but the food, unfortunately, is not. They apparently have a kitchen but do not use it. While their menu is huge, I noticed the caveat at the top of the menu, "Not all food trucks (!) are here every night (!) ask your server." Food trucks? Apparently, they bring in food truck(s) to cover their food. The night we were there, was one truck with just a few options. We ordered and twenty minutes later, the server (her first night) said "well, they are out of this, that, this, that and that. So, two had to re-order and wait while two of us got our food. That was messed up. Loved the place, other than that. Movie night was cool. They had giant Jenga, Cornhole and so on. Our beer flight was great. Some* of the staff is as shitty as the place is nice, unfortunately. You will most definitely NOT have a pleasant experience if you're a person of color. I felt unwelcomed from the moment I walked in but decided to stay only to sit at a table outside and be ignored by many waitresses who walked pass me many time. I go to the bar, same treatment. Despite not being busy at all, I couldn't get the bartender's attention for a while. When she finally acknowledged me, I ask if it's too late order food (anticipating the answer is probably yes and ready to order just a beer) she replies "too late" turns around and I waited a few more minutes for a fellow dog lover to serve me because I had my dog with me. (Thank you for your kindness if you're reading this) It's not a coincidence that the first review on here from another person of color was similar to mine. We stopped here due to a Groupon but were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the beers. We tried all their flagship and then left with some cans to go. Highly suggest the lagers and grapefruit IPA. Place was packed and still service was top notch. A great spot as it also has a full bar for those who aren't interested in beer read more

Three stars only for there not being any food served here at 7PM on Sunday evening when we came by and a not-so attentive server. We enjoyed our beers very much and my family that lives locally will most likely return often without me! :( The atmosphere is really nice, with plenty of activities to come here and stay a while. I come to FL from CT a couple of times a year to visit my family and I will definitely be back for another flight and hopefully food too! I am a beer snob, my favorites being IPA's! Went to a concert. Thought we would have food and drinks there. Beer was good. Venue was great. But we never got our food. Our server was terrific and kept calling about the food. The owner (Frank) really didn't care about the food issues. He doesn't understand it's part of their brand. But...if you just want a good beer, it's good. I live in NY, and my parents live right down the road in Parrish, FL. Every time I come down to visit this is usually my first stop. I cannot say enough great things about this brewery. The atmosphere outside is amazing, I love how the will have the games projected on the wall outside and they even have the games on the TV inside as well. I always love coming to this brewery and will continue to make a trip here. Fun Fact: We were there one day in an afternoon maybe 2 years ago when a huge TV crew came in and started doing some filming and people were taking pictures with the cast, being from NY I had no idea who these people were so I had to ask a crew member what show it was an he replied "Siesta Key". no idea what show that was but cool to see a small craft brewery being shown on a national network. I've been holding out going here until they started serving their own beer. Finally they have! Just 4 or so, but enough to give it a try. Liked their porter. Nice dark and rich. We also tried the whiskey smoke. Not typically a big fan of these, something "aged" in whiskey barrels, but this was nice and not too much of a kick in the pants. Thought about having their IPA, but the porter was calling my me, so I had another. A decent list of other beers, but more interested in seeing what they develop of their own. The beer garden is nice and on a pleasant day it is pretty nice. reminded me of some of the microbrew places I used to frequent out west. Food is run out of a truck. Which is fine. Might be nice to rotate through other trucks from time to time but the beef and chicken sliders were good. The chicken way better than I expected. The pulled pork was just so so. We got the "sampler" which is 6 sliders and fries or onion rings. more than we usually eat but I'm sure the 20 year olds will think it is small. Not sure about the price of the sliders, 2 for $7 but they were good. Probably the oddest thing was how many servers were trying to slyly take a hit off their e-cigs as they tried to make sure the boss wasn't looking. lol. I have been to Motorworks twice now, and it amazes me that it was never packed to the brim. Simply put, this brewery is fabulous, and I hope more people will begin to take advantage of it! There is a very large inside area with a long bar along one wall and high tables and barstools throughout the rest of the room. They also have a side patio area that is very charming. There is turf-like grass (reminiscent of a mini golf place) on half of it with some tables and a designated cornhole area, and the other half is a wooden deck with a tree in the middle of it. They have lights strung around the tree for when it gets dark out! Both times I've come here we have had excellent service. They are quick to answer any questions, and really know a lot about the different beers. The first time I ordered a flight so I could try several options, and the second time I just ordered a single beer. Everything was absolutely delicious! Bonus: When I was struggling to pick an IPA, the bartender offered a couple suggestions and free tastes to help me choose. He also gave us a couple shot-sized dessert beers before we left for the night. Their food options all come from local food trucks, so if you are going at night there likely won't be any around. We actually ended up ordering pizza and getting it delivered to the brewery, which is something that they encourage when the food trucks aren't around. Overall, excellent beer and excellent service. What a fun spot! This brewery knows how to keep their customers happy! The have a large interior space with a full bar. They have skee ball, dart boards, and games inside as well as a merchandising area. We sat outside WHICH IS WHERE ITS AT! Tons of corn hole boards, giant jenga, and a huge connect four! Super fun! They also have a stage area but sadly we missed the band. Our server, Britney WAS AMAZING!!! Like one of the best servers I have ever had! She's normally the bartender but we were lucky enough to have her as our server. Super knowledgeable about the beers and allowed us to sample some of the beers. Each beer I had was great! Motorworks definitely exceeded my expectation! I had heard the name before but didn't know what it would be like. First of all, it's laid out so beautifully. The inside has a long bar, a big screen where they are projecting the football game, and some bar games. We sat outside on the porch which is huge! It's built around a big, old oak tree and around the porch there are greens for bocce ball, cornhole, and a few mini golf putting holes (I think). There's also another big screen outside so I imagine they have movie nights or maybe sunday night football games playing sometimes. We both ordered flights of Motorworks beers and there were some great ones! I definitely suggest the blond ale. Really flavorful and crisp for a blond. The pumpkin beer was rimmed with cinnamon sugar and was absolutely delicious. There was a food truck there which is there regularly and I ordered chicken wings with wah-sum sauce (their homemade barbecue) and my dad ordered the chicken sliders. Phenominal. Overall, great first experience of Motorworks and I can't wait to go back! read more

I grab a beer and a menu, going to order some food and watch a little football. Some doofus informs me "those seats are taken". Me: By who? they're empty? Doofus: They left but they're coming back. Me: All 10-15-20 of these seats? Every single one is "taken"? Doofus: Yes. You cannot sit there. Me: Screw it, I don't want to hang out here that bad. I had plans to visit Motorworks Brewing for some time so when a Groupon popped up in my email, I purchased it and went there a few weeks later. We went during Spring Training and the Pirates happened to have a game that afternoon so parking was scarce. They allow the people going to the game to park in the Motorworks parking lot in hopes that the people will stop by after. Good business, but so aggravating considering that we were there and wanted to go to the brewery then and not later. We ended up parking across the street for $10 at an Alcoholics Anonymous lot. The irony. First thing I noticed is that it wasn't too full, but their parking was all taken up... for the reason above. We went straight to he back and OMG, it's beautiful out there. They have a huge tree that covers the space and provides ample shade-- and lots of moss on our clothes, drinks, and food. Haha. I really want to see what it looks like at night with all the lights. The beer garden has tons of corn hole boards and several other games that are free. The service was spot on, we ordered a flight to get a feel of the different beers. Their flights are much more affordable than any other brewery I've been to. The staff are knowledgeable and are ready to answer any questions about beer. They don't serve food, but that didn't surprise me. They have complimentary popcorn, but if that's not enough they have 3-4 food trucks that deliver. Overall, I definitely want to go back and plan to. It was a nice, chill, relaxing environment. read more

Walked into a lovely space and was greeted immediately. This brewery reads more like a bar-restaurant. They have a small stage area, dart games and a full bar. They boast a great beer selection. They do have food offerings and free popcorn (Yes!!!) Outside is a huge beer garden with tons of shaded seating with several corn hole and Jenga games set up outside. The beer is really, really good. We did 2 flights of 4 and I really enjoyed all 8 choices. If I had to pick a favorite from the ones we sampled it would have to be the Lavender Ale which is odd because I am more of a Stout or Porter type of girl. This Ale wasn't something I've had before. Good range of good beers. Big place. Lots of people having fun. Earlier in eve people were social distancing. As night went on, people were walking up and ordering, in what was SUPPOSED to be the 6' spaces, at the bar. Now people neck & neck!! Not acceptable!!! We left. Bartenders made NO attempt to keep spacing. Bar should have 1 or 2 spaces for walk up orders. Later in eve, you wouldn't have even known COVID existed. Just left Motoworks. It took 20 minutes to order a beer. Wanted a second beer but we gave up after waiting another 20 minutes for the server to come back to the table. We were there for an hour and saw the server twice once to order and once to pay the tab.
