Yours is the worst and most unreliable transport service I have EVER had the displeasure of trying to use. MULTIPLE times that we have attempted to use your service, there have been multiple hour delays, even when we scheduled a ride HOURS in advance of when we needed it! We've had to reschedule medical appointments that Modivcare / Logisticare booked rides for through you. We've missed entire shifts at work when our car was in the shop because you simply can never turn up on time. Today is the LAST straw-- we called at 7 pm last night to try to get a ride to go pick up our stranded car and get it the less than a mile home it needed to go. At 9:30 pm we had to call and cancel because it was pitch black out already. We called again this morning at 8am, and still had no driver by 10am. We finally cancelled the ride and just got a Lyft since even though there's barely any drivers at least they're RELIABLE. But it turns out our car got towed at 9am and now wee have to pay almost $200 that we absolutely do NOT have to get our car back, all because Motown Taxi is a sham of a company. You guys suck SO MUCH! I'm leaving a scathing review on every platform I can possibly find, and seriously looking in to if we can sue you for this stupid unnecessary towing bill that we never would have gotten if you could just either SHOW UP ON TIME or be honest about your wait times instead of jerking people around to squeeze every cent you can out of folks who unfortunately have to rely on you when you obviously don't have enough cars to cover things. Motown Taxi actually has SURPRISED my Veteran Hubby & I..in a VERY good way!! I don't know what exactly happened but...the Dispatchers are clear, concise, business minded & professional!! The vehicles? Meh..kinda miss the actual "Yellow Cabs" they used to have..the vehicles now? Not much room & when we last took a cab back to our room @ The Super 8 Hotel from Target the trunk space wasn't too roomy..had to fight for space with the items already in there...n I guess I'm used to previous drivers actually getting out and helping us out loading our Target bags? And the back seat itself? Well had to squeeze in on the middle of the seat & behind on the passenger's side cuz the driver{nothing against being a "big" guy} had his seat quite a ways back..HECK it was a smaller~ish 4 door~compact car...Idk call me CRAZY...BUT. IF I was running a Car Service compact cars with small~ish trunk space{"Analyze That", Robert DeNiro," look at that trunk space ya can fit 3 bodies in there!" comes to mind! Lol} is NOT the way to go, ya know? Prices seem reasonable, I see that someone somewhere got the "Meter~issues" under controlled. Dispatchers are actually efficient! So far no complaints! Terrible company with rude dispatchers. Had a ride scheduled weeks ahead of time for a 2 o'clock pickup. Day of at 2:15 I called the dispatcher because it still said "assigning driver" and was told they were waiting for a driver to become available. 3 o'clock no driver so I call again and this time the dispatcher is extremely rude. I asked multiple times for an idea on how long I'd be waiting to which he just kept repeating they were waiting for a driver to be available. Why let me pre book a trip if no one can pick me up within an hour of when it was scheduled? Cancelled my ride and found an Uber. My best friend and I got picked up by a very sexist driver who refused to put his gps on to take us to our location. He mentioned that it was our job to have the gps on to be able to get dropped off. He was rude and he was driving like a maniac, despite after all having the gps on. When we arrived at the location he aggressively got out of the car trying to force us to pay for the taxi. I would give zero stars if I could. they are never on time and off by 30 mins or longer the vehicles are falling apart. they are also more expensive then uber or Lyft. if you question they they will get very rude and hangup on you. read more

As someone who has only worked for this company for 4 days, i want to say that "i have never worked for such a crooked company!" (Beware of using Motown taxi people) and here is why. I dont kno how this company is doing this, but tha app that they are using is over charging its users and here is what i mean. So when using tha app, it shows a digital meter of distance mils etc and the price. Well, this morning when pick up a guy and dropping him off to his location, which was about 3.8 mils. Tha total came to 33.80. When looking at tha app, i noticed under distance, it said 10.3 mils traveled. So i called dispatch and ask (amber) what was going on and she said, there must be something wrong with tha app and fixed tha fair to (15$) so once i got parked, i looked at tha other fairs i had took pictures of and they all we're over charged like that! If you use this company, be sure to ask tha driver to show you tha app from time of pick up and tha time of drop off! I kno some people don't care, but for those who work hard for their money every cent counts and this is one of those companies who are counting on tha fact that you don't care! read more

Motown Taxi is so bad, it's like free advertising for Uber. So bad, I'd rather hitchhike. I booked my trips 24 hours ahead of my requested pickup time. I put my car in the shop in the morning: they were supposed to pick me up at the shop and take me home, then reverse the process in the afternoon. They were TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATE, I'd been waiting there so long the service manager offered to take me home, just as the driver arrived. I told them they couldn't pull that stunt in the afternoon: I HAD TO be there before closing time. They were "only" 25 minutes late and I didn't have much time to spare when we finally arrived, the driver was driving like a maniac trying to get me there. The card readers in the cabs don't work: you have to pay cash but they don't bother to inform anyone of this little detail when you book. Driver in the morning had his own card reader that he purchased himself but the clown in the afternoon didn't have a card reader, and I never carry cash. So he said he'd take care of my fare. That was a sort of a Good Thing, the fare was only $14. 50. But that's still less than minimum wage for the two hours of my life they killed. I have half a mind to file a complaint with the State regulators, they shouldn't be in business. Y'all stay away from this train wreck, save yourselves a ton of aggravation. read more

This Taxi Company left our son stranded after we booked them hours in advanced, pre paid $55, sent in ID and payment verification and we are currently spending $2000 we have to borrow to fix this. We are stranded. Route 19 Taxi showed up after Motown canceled our sons trip, didnt call us so we could reschedule and we ended up calling them after they were twenty minutes late. Thats when they advised us they had canceled our trip bc they made a mistake booking it since it was out of their jurisdiction. Something that they feel first time visitors should be aware and be accountable for before their very own employees who are actively taking calls and booking reservations. I asked to speak to the manager and the girl said the manager was refusing to answer her calls and wouldnt call her back and that it was management that had canceled the trip and not called us or notified her. I told her to please tell the manager to atleast pick up my son and take him since this is their mistake. She said no, thats not how they do business. After Route 19 killed themselves to get to my son and drive him to the airport, 45 minutes late now bc they needed time to get to him. There was a wreck in the highway. Rebooking my sons flight is $500, taxi expenses over $100, we canceled our flights bc we are not leaving our child behind stranded, even though he is 21, you just dont leave family. We flew in to Pitts from Florida and he flew into Clarksburg from Norfolk. After confirming and paying his taxi we drove back to Pitts for our flight home. So this has cost us, grief and $2,000 or more we dont know bc we are still tryikg to figure out what to do. I can post all the calls made to Motown, the email payment confirmation, the receipts....everything is TRUE!!! They stopped answering our calls and management has not called me back. I cant believe there are people who lack this amount of human decency and could do this to a family. To another human being. Its irresponsible, unproffesional and we are stranded because of their mistake. They didnt even call us when they canceled our trip and give us the time we needed to get my son a new ride. They said they refunded us the monies back...so far we have spent $2K and counting. We are still stranded here. read more

Motown taxi in Morgantown, WV left me stranded in Kingwood. They took me to Kingwood from Clarksburg when my daughter died but would not pick me up to bring me back home. They said it was too far but they brought me there. They actually hung up on me and left me stranded on the day my daughter died! There are no taxis in Kingwood WV. read more

This is the worse taxi company I have ever dealt with! Both times I attempted to use this company I called a few days in advance and made a reservation for a ride to the doctor. Both times they said they were going to come and get me. Today they were supposed to pick me up at 6:42am. They said it's shift change. Why would you book a ride if you can't pick someone up? Do not ever use this taxi company! I had to cancel a ride because my mentally ill son left his location before I could tell him a taxi was booked. I called to cancel it and couldn't get my money back. It was 275.00 I am out of and the excuse from the dispatcher was that was the terms you agreed to! I can see them charging for part of the payment but the whole 275.00! The dispatcher was also very rude! You told me it would be a 90 minute to 2 hours before any of your drivers would be enroute to pick him up because your drivers were out on other scheduled pickups. When I called you back less than 5 minutes from booking it, the driver was not enroute! You could of just canceled the transaction or just charged a cancellation fee but instead you kept the whole 275.00. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I work at the gas station and had to call cabs for a couple of people today. They were very busy so wait time was over an hour. Not only could the automated system tell you when the cab might arrive, but the people answering phones refused to give me an estimate. Aside from this, dispatcher was EXTREMELY rude, like I've never been so mad about the way a CUSTOMER SERVICE representative spoke to me. It wasn't just tone this guy was extremely rude and unhelpful, basically telling me if I wanted customer service or any help I needed to take my business elsewhere. BEWARE i had called the night before for them to come at 8am to take me to enterprise car rental on don knotts as my car had to be towed the night before and i needed to rent a car to get to work in DC. they texted me in the night to tell me "your booking has been cancelled" at 1:56 AM. they were not person enough to tell me via a phone call. so i woke up and called them and the dispatcher told me it was "too far" but the night before when i made the reservation it was OK. i told him i could lose my job and he just repeated his mantra "thank you for your understanding". i will not deal with these peepul again. read more

Zero stars I called for a taxi. It was snowing and I was only wearing a light jacket and shorts, so I was waiting inside a convenience store. When the taxi arrived I did not receive a call I just got a text message saying my "booking was canceled had been due to a no-show." I called again and the dispatcher told me I owed the driver 75 dollars and would not send another taxi until I paid him. I do not recommend this company; Uber and Lyft are cheaper AND have better customer service. read more

Today marks the third time I pre-ordered a cab more than three hours in advance just to have no one show. When I called to see when I would be assigned a cab or when I would be picked up, the operator pretty much told me "tough luck" and that he didn't know when I'd get a cab. Do not offer pick-up reservations if you all can't meet the required times. I will obviously have to switch back over to Uber and Lyft since they're at least reliable. read more

My husband is a truck driver and he got stranded tonight in 20 degree weather. No Lyft or Uber in the area. We called the cab company and they agreed to pick him up and said the ONE driver they have will finish a trip in 5 minutes and be on the way. Since they can't pick up on the highway, they said he had to walk to the nearest location. It was 3 miles away after midnight. Fine. The operator took my card info over the phone and said the manager will run it. She called back 20 minutes later and said the manager was on the way to the office to run the card and then someone will be out. Here we are, over an hour later and no one is answering when I call and no one has called me back. Needless to say, my husband had to call 911 for emergency assistance because he was feeezing to death. If I could sue this place, I would! The best I can do is say this is a horrible business with people that lack integrity, compassion, and common decency. This is by far the worst cab service around. The dispatchers are rude, administrators are even more rude. I've never in my life been spoken to, with such fowl language, by someone in a management position my life. My address (apartment) was "flagged" as banned because of something that someone that lives in the complex had done. When calling to speak to Thomas in administration, whomever awnsered the phone said to me, "your account has been banned, don't ever f***ing call back here again", then hung up. My fiancé called from his phone to find out what had happened and he spoke with Dan, an administrator as well. And Dan explained to him that someone had ran off on a fare, and company policy states, that the entire address has to be banned when such an incident occures. I didn't do it but I was talked to and treated as if I had. They wouldn't even speak to me to explain that. Very very unprofessional. read more
