Was finally able to give MOTW a try after being on my radar for over a month now and am happy to have found a new good coffee option in the Naperville/Plainfield area. This is a big open cafe that had lots of available seating on a late saturday afternoon and offers a nice variety of drinks and food. I'm not the biggest fan of pumpkin but I went on a limb and ordered the Pumpkin Pie White Mocha off their seasonal menu and it is one of the better fall flavored lattes that I have had this year. They don't overdo it with the sweetness or spices so it was a nice balanced drink pick me up. I hadn't had lunch so the baked empanadas in the pastry case were just calling to me when I placed my order. Although the butter chicken sounded the most interesting I ended up going with the halal beef, bacon, egg and cheese. The staff offered to warm it up and also some sauce options: a sriracha aioli or mango chutney. The aioli seemed like the obvious choice but I opted for the mango chutney for some reason but this ended up being a great move as the breading and really took on an even more tasty breakfast quality with the sweet tang of the mango added. The filling in the empanada was also notable: A few nice sized strips of well seasoned beef wrapped in fluffy scrambled eggs and cheese with bits of bacon too. All in all the food and drinks were good but I did feel that the price point was still a bit high. More so for the empanada than the drink though. In any case I will more than likely be stopping into MOTW again in the future.

I give the coffee and pastries, as well as the customer service 4 stars. She was patient as I debated what pastry to try. I came on a Saturday, while patrons should clean up after themselves, if they don't, the restaurant should. A number of the tables needed to be wiped.

The milk cake was a good option similar to a traditional tres leches cake. However, I could not taste the pistachio flavor whatsoever. I'd want to come back and try out the drinks though they all looked really pretty

A friend and I stopped in at MOTW and loved it! We needed a spot that had sugar free syrups and thankfully MOTW has them. This location is new to the area and it is clean, bright and beautiful. The staff member that helped us was very nice and patient. Since it was our first time there we asked for recommendations which she did offer. I tried the date cardamom latte with almond milk. It was a little too sweet for my liking, however, overall it was great. I love how all the flavors came together and are bold. I also tried the spinach and feta empanada. These empanadas are not made in house, they are from the vendor, Savory Crust. They do list these empanadas as halal, but TBH I'm not convinced they are. I've had food from this vendor previously and I'm not sure I would consider them halal friendly. Aside from that - the empanada was just as great as I remembered it. The dough was flaky and cooked perfectly. Everything inside the empanada was divine. My 1 'con' about it was the sauce is an upgrade here vs at Savory Crust the sauce comes with it.

Had the best latte and chai we've had in quite sometime! This welcoming spot is clean, beautifully decorated and friendly. Bring immediately greeted as we walked in help us transition from our sleepy hangover. Ordered typical pastries. Took off 1 star as the muffin was dry and the chocolate croissant was soggy. They have a wonderful display of Middle Eastern pastries and empanadas I'm hoping will be able t review them with a 5 star rating.

Nice new cafe that opened recently! Super spacious, cool drink menu (mostly chai/lattes), and nice staff. They seem to be very mission oriented, and be yemeni/middle eastern owned! There's a dedicated prayer section in the back as well. I got a pistachio latte light sweet that had good flavor, but the pistachio milk cake was too oversoaked (mushy) and too sweet (didn't need the caramel on top).

I went there for reading, and stayed there for several hours. The environment was great for quietly learning or working. I ordered an unsweetened small Chai and a Pistachio Milk Cake. It was my first trying the milk cake, and it was literally impressive! The cream above the cake had the most perfect sweetness, thickness, texture, and flavor combination. The cake itself was moist with milk, and tasted a little cold in the middle, which was just right for the summer. The Chai was normal as a standard one. Overall, I had a nice experience there! The serving people were friendly and polite as well. I'd probably go back again for the milk cake!

Really liked my date and cardamom latte- not too sweet and not diluted with milk. They have a variety of pastries and alot of sitting area, so great place to catch up with friends or work/study. Service is very friendly.

The service, the food, the ambiance is spot on. The owners are really friendly and staff is knowledgeable. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for a great drink (hot or iced) or pastries.

Wow, what an amazing place! It is a rather hole in the wall that I stumbled upon. The seating and ambiance are so cute. There is plenty of place to sit. The place is super clean and certainly setup with a purpose. The service is amazing and super friendly. I loved my cappuccino and the pastries. It felt like I was at the origin of coffee with every sip and in France with every bite. Highly recommend the place. Can't wait to come back.

If you're looking for a place where the coffee matches the sophistication of your taste in friends, look no further than MOTW. It's the kind of spot where sipping on an Iced Pistachio Latte will have you questioning all your life choices (like, why on earth did you not discover this sooner?) and where ordering a Biscoff Latte feels like a perfectly justified indulgence because, let's face it, we all deserve the finer things in life. But let's get to the real reason this place deserves a standing ovation: the food. A labneh bagel with za'atar? Yes, please! It's the savory, herby hug you never knew you needed. And those pistachio croissants? Let's just say they could make even the most stoic among us a little misty-eyed. Now, don't even get me started on the refreshers. These aren't just drinks; they're an experience. I'm convinced they hold the secret to eternal youth, and if it were socially acceptable, I'd bathe in them. The owners--who are incredibly kind and hospitable--have even gone above and beyond by crafting caffeine-free versions for my kids. Talk about thoughtful. For those days when you need a little extra coziness, the fall latte is like a warm blanket woven from cinnamon, nutmeg, and autumn nostalgia. Or, if you're craving something with a little more exotic flair, the date cardamom latte will transport you straight to a desert oasis, where the spices are as comforting as a secret shared with a close friend. Whether you're meeting friends for a lively book club discussion or enjoying the peaceful solitude of solo work, MOTW has this uncanny ability to create the perfect atmosphere for whatever you're up to. There's also some great tea on the menu--and by "tea," I mean both the kind you sip and the kind you overhear in the most delightful conversations happening all around you. In the end, it's the kind of place that feels like a local gem, even if everyone in town already knows about it. Highly recommend it for your next caffeine fix, casual hangout, or existential crisis (trust me, the pistachio latte might just have the answers).

I love that the amount of sweetened condensed milk was just right where the coffee didn't end up being too sweet. I do want to point out that the drink didn't seem like the strongest coffee around, and the taste closer resembled tea with a little milk added. I should have gone to the Vietnamese coffee the cashier offered! I also tried a piece of their sour cream coffee cake. Warmed wonderfully, and with just the right amount of sweetness, crispness, and just a little tang from the sour cream. This was terrific, and something I would absolutely get again. The vibe is classic with lots of wood, and plenty of comfortable seating. However, if you choose to take advantage of their WiFi, you are asked to buy a drink first, and then every 30 minutes after an hour. I understand where this comes from, and it serves as a deterrent from someone buying one drink and spending a working day in here. However, it also makes Sweetwaters seem like less of a spot to chill and catch up on Yelp reviews (for e.g.,), as I'd have to set a stopwatch to not break the rules. Final verdict: while the Dragon Eye could've had some coffee flavors, the coffee cake helped bring the experience up. While the vibe is classic, don't expect to sit and work without keeping the drinks coming.
