I was disappointed in Moule. I had Moule out to estimate two separate jobs at my house. A few days later, I received a bid for one job, but not the other. When the installer came to do the first job, I reminded him of the second. He remembered and promised me a bid, and no charge for having to come back a second time. I never heard from Moule on the second job. The quality of their work is fine. Their attention to paperwork is questionable. read more

I am glad to know that this company is so close by. I needed glass for my coffee table, brought the table in, and had the finished product within 24 hours. I also needed paint, and thank goodness they were a Kelly Moore outlet. I brought in chips of old paint that needed to be matched and the next day my order for different colors was complete and perfect for the painting that needed revival. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the story easily accessible if you follow the directions via GPS properly, the prices are reasonably competitive. Windshield repair ( small cracks). A friend and I were on our way to the Yuba River and as we were about to turn left onto 49 a rock struck the cars windshield and created a star crack. Since it was a hot day we didn't want the crack to spread as it can in very hot or cold weather ( from recent previous experience). It was today, a Saturday, and trying to find a windshield repair open was nearly impossible until we went to an auto parts store and was suggested to go to Moule. Thank God! Wonderful, wonderful! I bought a screen door from Moule and they installed. Matthew who has been here before to address window issues did a fab job on the install of this screen door! The install included a build out on the frame to accommodate the new door and he has such an attention to detail that he matced the new wood being added to the existing surrounds texture. I didn't ever ask he did it on his own! The final result is beautiful and I have Matthew to thank. So very happy yet again with Moule and their reps. read more

After taking the door into the store the owner replaced my glass with the correct piece and deducted the amount I paid and replaced the glass. He installed the glass as well. It took about 6 months and 3 trips to get a window replaced in our guest house. We've been using Moule for years and they definitely dropped the ball on this one. They came out and measured 3 times. Each time they measured and each time when they got to us with the replacement window the measurements were wrong. On the third attempt they finally got it right, but not before they called and wanted to reschedule. We said absolutely not. They sent someone out and finally got the window replaced. Interestingly, when there was a miscommunication about the invoice being due, they had no problem calling wanting to know where there payment was. If there was any other alternative I'd probably give them a try next time but we're so far out in Sierra county it's hard to get someone out. read more

I am a homeowner and have purchased paint from them many times for interior painting jobs. They are my "go to" store for paint needs: good quality Pittsburg paint; the usual complete display of all the colors you can imagine; and courteous service in spite of the fact that I am obviously not a contractor. We bought and had Moule Paint & Glass install new vinyl Milgard dual pane windows to replace the original aluminum framed windows in our home. Their attention to answering our questions, coming to our home to measure and give us an estimate, pricing, and installation was first rate. We had six windows and a seven foot sliding glass door replaced. The installation crew arrived right on time, worked very efficiently and didn't leave anything but new, clean windows behind when they finished. The windows look great! I am a retired contractor temporarily living and working in Grass Valley while refurbishing our retirement house. I have been into Moule's almost weekly for the last two months and with each visit have become even more impressed. They have excellent products, tools and a staff that is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. My most recent transaction was to have them come out and size all my windows for new window screen replacements, re-screen my front door and replace one cracked window. Moule's service technician (Danny) arrived on time for the estimate and returned at the appointed day and hour to install the lass and window screens. The agreement and quote for the screen door was for re-screening only, but when I went to install the door Danny offered his help. When we found out that a minor door latch part broken and another was missing, he called Moule's and within 15 minutes Wayne showed up with the parts and proceeded to install them for me. When one of the replacement parts he brought was found to be the wrong size, Wayne left and returned from Moule's inside of twenty minutes with the correct part. Again, none of this was part of the original contract. When I asked how much I owed them for the additional work and parts, Wayne said not to worry, they was included as part of the over-all project. (In my estimation, the scope of the project was very modest at best.) In any case, I was completely blown away by Danny, Wayne and Moule's fantastic customer service! As with so many aspects of the construction industry, a big-box home-improvement store might offer cheaper prices on some things, but for real value for your money, a business like Moule's cannot be beat. read more

I needed six window screens replaced. To ensure that they got the dimensions correct, I brought in the old screens, which fit perfectly. Of the six screens they made, two of them were too big and did not fit. The craftsmanship on all the screens was shoddy--the 45 degree angles at the corners didn't line up, and a couple of the screens had a bend in them that is caused from the screening material being pulled too tightly. I had to drive back into town to bring the bad screens back and then pick them up once fixed. To make this transaction right the young man who answered my call about the problem should have apologized for their error, and to earn five stars they should have come out to my house, taken accurate measurements, and delivered the properly fitted screens when finished. read more
