Spicy Wontons are not so spicy, you can pick spicy level. We ordered dessert sweet sticky rice balls. They are freshly made, very tender and not overly sweet, cooked with Gongi berries, sweet rice balls and egg drops. We love to support local small businesses like this. Good ambiance with nice touches of painting. Their menu have nice selections of meat, dumplings, soup noodles, etc. My favorites so far, "All in one chow mein and the dry fried green beans". I came here with two other vegans and although the menu doesn't have a lot of vegan options, we appreciated that they were willing to veganise a bunch of dishes for us. The ambiance is nice and cozy because of the wooden interiors. Coming to the food however... we really didn't like it. The steamed sugar bun was frozen and reheated and tasted off. The cumin tofu had a foul aftertaste. The mushroom dumplings again were off-tasting. The general tso's and mala noodle were all right. Unfortunately, a lot of the food was very off-tasting. I've been aware of the Seattle location because of the cute name, like mountain bao, but never visited. Lynnwood (Mill Creek) area is a bit more convenient, so decided to stop by. Kind service, mainly taking orders and dropping off food, but was pleasant. Green Beans - solid green beans! No meat but stir fried well. A bit pricey but a solid shareable portion. I'd love a version with some meat but I can appreciate being vegetarian friendly. Pan Fried Pork Bao - sadly no soup in this pan fried bao. I think there was too much bread because everything was very doughy while the actual pork was tiny in comparison. If there was more meat then maybe the extra large dough would be okay. On the bright side I guess this is a filling item with the carbs. Xiaolongbao - Unfortunately, 2 out of 8 XLB were ripped and the soup spilled in the steamer. Those ones were extremely sad and disappointing. However, even the remaining 6 XLB didn't have that much soup. I would skip the XLB here which sucks because the place literally has bao in the name. Shu Mai - tasty, hearty, comfy, and satisfies the craving perfectly. Large and scrumptious, as delicious as any dim sum spot. Highly recommend because I was shocked, not expecting much. read more

Pleasantly surprised with Mount & Bao in Lynnwood! I've visited the location in Greenlake one time before but didn't know they had a few other spots. This location had easy parking out front and was well decorated for the holiday season. We were seated immediately as it was after lunch hour. I came with a group of three and ordered the shrimp shumai, salt and pepper wings, honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, spring rolls, and xiaolongbao. Portion sizes were very generous that we even had leftovers, which is always a win. Standout dishes for us were the salt and pepper wings (lots of wings, super flavorful and crispy), honey walnut shrimp, and Mongolian beef. Everything came out hot and well-prepared. To top it off, the waitress surprised us with a complimentary slice of cheesecake at the end, which was very thoughtful. I had been to this location many years ago, but those owners retired. The inside is much cleaner and nicer looking. The food was really so good. Fresh pickled radish, made in house, to start. My daughter and I came here after getting our nails done. We were very hungry and can say everything was very tasteful everything had so much flavor. The portion sizes are great. We had a lot of leftovers. Our favorite was the fried rice and the chili wontons. We will definitely be going back and trying their other menu items. They had quite the selection so we are very excited to go back and try. The service was great. Our server was so kind. Came here on our way to Mt Baker, I wanted Szechuan food so was glad to find mount &bao. I believe they have other branches too. We got the cold noodle with spicy oil, dry fried string beans, potstickers, mapo tofu, cumin lamb, pan fried buns. The cold noodle in spicy oil was pretty spicy, savory also very tingly. It was otherwise good. The cumin lamb was fragrant but there's so little lamb. The dry fries string beans are more like garlic string beans but very delicious. The beans were still a bit crunchy and the garlic flavor encompassed the beans. The pan fried bun was like a meat bun pan fried if that made sense. My friend liked it, it was juicy. I was so hungry that I forgot to take photos--oops! I was a little skeptical when we first walked in since it was surprisingly empty during dinnertime, with only a couple of takeout orders. However, the restaurant was bright, clean, and the staff were very friendly. My group shared the mapo tofu, salt and pepper chicken wings, walnut shrimp, fried rice, and green beans, and everything was delicious. I was initially worried the dishes might be too spicy since it's Szechuan cuisine, but only the mapo tofu had a slight mala numbing kick, which was totally manageable. Parking is easy to find so that's a plus too! I'd definitely come back again, and it's great to find another solid Chinese restaurant nearby :) read more

Great flavor and crispiness. Must order!! My wife and I were out running errands it's been cold out and she felt like some soup. We stopped in here for lunch. We ended up ordering a lot more than we expected. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was clean and decorated for Chinese new year. The service was excellent. We are now making this a regular spot of ours. We visited on a Saturday shortly after they opened, before their new sign was even up. Despite this, the place was already busy with many customers. The staff was friendly and worked hard, serving our dishes efficiently. The restaurant was spacious. Pretty much everything we ordered was very flavorful and delicious. Back again a few months later, and once again, they knocked it OUT OF THE PARK! We had the Scallion Pancakes, Pork Bao, Pork Dumplings in a Szechuan Sauce, Chili Oil Noodles, and Mongolian Beef. The scallion pancake was flaky, slightly crispy, and not oily like some you get at other restaurants. The pork dumplings with Szechuan sauce were incredibly delicious - Savory, a little spicy, and came with 12 large pieces. The bao was pillowy soft. Just perfection. The meat in the Mongolian beef was tender and delicious, and the accompanying onions were perfectly cooked - Not raw or overcooked and limp. The chili oil noodles were thick and chewy with bok choy mixed in which I absolutely loved. Honestly, everything was so high quality and delectable that I would have a hard time picking what was my favorite. We loved it all. On top of that, we ate to our heart's content, my 6 foot six husband and myself, and we still have enough left over food for a full meal for each of us tomorrow. All of that plus one can of Diet Coke and some complimentary cream puffs at the end set us back $70. Such an amazing value. I will recommend this restaurant a million times over. Went there yesterday around 4pm (we were the first customers because they just opened) to treat my dad and husband for father's day. 4 adults plus my 8yrs old kid. The food (ordered 6 dishes and 2passionfruit drink) and ambiance were good though the service was horrible (thats why I gave it only 3stars) The server seated us in a round tight table with a big spinning glass in the middle, our plates could fit in the table properly. My husband went talk to the server said "excuse me" 5x and the waiter pretend to hear nothing until she looked, then she moved us to a bit bigger one. And my dad trying to called her for the refill of his drink and got ignored again. After we ate, my husband asked for the check. The server brought her tablet with her and she said "We do automatic tip 18% for the party of 4people and above" and then showed us the total $170 dollars, no paper check and no breakdown of what we ordered overall! It's my fault I guess I didn't asked for actual breakdown of everything but isn't that already automatic instead of showing us the actual receipt? Anyway, I had a horrible experience with the server! She clearly didn't deserve the 18% percent tip! Plus I didn't know that 4-5 dining people in a restaurant will be automatically charged with tip. Thought only 6 people and above. read more

Delivery review In short We immediately loved the Lake City location after one visit, and the Lynnwood location hasn't missed a beat. We still need to get in there but we've ordered delivery close to half a dozen times from there already. Never gets old. In long We used to have 2 very good dim sum places up here (and a few other ones). So good, in fact, that we never felt like we were missing anything when we didn't head down to the ID for dim sum. Seriously. Then suddenly in 24, they both closed. One of them was in this exact location. A few weeks later, we were startled to learn that M&B had taken over the spot. Such welcome news! Great addition to a busy little strip mall, and a huge relief to have good dim sum up here again (even though the gap was pretty short). Years ago, it took me finding stuff online just to motivate me to even come in here. You can drive by this parking lot dozens of times and not notice that there might be good spots open just over the berm that shields the parking lot from the street. Don't be like me. Come in and check these places out. M&B has plenty of parking, and a big, clean, comfortable dining room (I'm combining info from visits to the previous tenant with recent photos to confirm this). They always seemed mostly like a dumpling house to me but they definitely have a nice lineup of dim sum and plenty of other entrees. We've ordered bao, shu mai, pancakes, XLB, fried rice, and tons of different dumplings from this location. Sometimes for 2 people, sometimes for bigger groups. We've covered a chunk of the menu and enjoyed every single dish. One thing that really stands out is the hot & sour soup. Lots of places throw this together so they have a soup course on the menu, but M&B seems to put a bunch of extra care into theirs. Best we've had in ages and ages. You can say the same about the fried rice--we scrape out the containers of both of these dishes so not even part of a mouthful goes to waste. Ordering dim sum delivered will never be quite as good as straight from the kitchen to your table, but everything shows up in great shape, flavors 100% intact, textures still thoroughly delightful. Still hot, too. We're well overdue to check this place out in person, but there's no shortage of joy in ordering from home. We're so lucky to have this place up here. read more

Out of everything we got, we didn't enjoy the fried pork buns. The meatball inside was so small compared to the outside bun that it felt like you were only eating bread. The meat inside was also bland. The other two dishes were pleasant especially the chili wontons. The price is a bit on the high side but they give you enough to take home. I love this place! We went for my besties birthday. There were 8 of us in total and they accommodated us nicely. The tables have the last Susan in the middle which I always love. You will probably share when you go so this is helpful. All the food was so good! Like seriously, nothing was bad or even just meh. The noodles were maybe my favorite.
