I am very easy to please when it comes to Chinese food/asian cuisine. I was recommended this place by a coworker who raved about it. It is a small mom & pop restaurant which, I love supporting, and usually mom & pop shops are pretty good. However, this place is not very good. Everything was very bland. Like very very bland. Also food was dry and just blah. No flavor at all. The only thing that was somewhat decent was the egg rolls but you can't really mess those up. I wanted a simple lunch special on a Monday at noon and not many Chinese restaurants are open that day. They were here so after years of going by I tried it. Very welcoming older fellow that took care of me and cooked my lunch. Me. Just Me. No one else in the place or picking up Togo orders. The hot and sour soup was quickly served but lacked good ingredients besides too much vinegar. My mandarin chicken was reliably cooked but not extra special in any way and the little ball of fried rice was barely adequate. The price was not too bad and it served my purpose that day. Hard to get excited about it and I usually ear at Asian restaurants filled with Asian diners. We ordered the Chicken with Vegetables (w/out mushrooms) and the Combination #3. My wife loved her chicken and vegetables (comes with steamed rice) and she would definitely order that meal again. My combination #3, however, was life changing; it comes with hot and sour soup, a spring roll (plus sweet and sour sauce), crab rangoons (delicious), pork fried rice, and the Really tasty Mandarin Crispy Chicken (delicious beyond words). Wasn't bad, wasn't great though. I want to support local restaurants, but I'm pretty sure they used canned meat in the chicken fried rice. It didn't have any crispy char, just white and soft like it came right out of a tin can. If I'm paying to eat out I'm really hoping for a meal that is several levels above my own cooking skills. The crab rangoons didn't have any crab to speak of. I ate the food because I'm grateful for the meal, I just don't want to go back unless someone convinces me that something else on the menu is worth giving it another shot. Sooooooooooooo good! Just delicious! Everything tasted like it was just cut/prepped and just freshly cooked (nothing frozen). Both the man and woman that helped us tonight were very kind and friendly, and helped with questions or extra items we requested. Everything had delicious flavor. My husband and I were stuffed but we couldn't stop eating because it was so good. I got the cashew nut chicken (minus mushrooms) and it's the best I've had in a long time. My husband got the combo #1 with wonton soup, spring roll, pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, and the almond crusted chicken. He was in heaven with everything too. Tried this Chinese cuisine for the first time today with my family! We ordered the Moo shu chicken, Kung Pao Three Flavors, and Crispy Prawns & Honey Walnut. All three dishes were good but I especially loved the moo shu chicken! It comes with this stir-fry style chicken with bean sprouts, cabbage, and mushrooms and you wrap it in a very thin crepe-like Chinese pancake with a sweet, dark sauce. I loved the flavors in the chicken stir fry and the way it blended in with the sauce and wrap. Definitely recommend the moo shu chicken! The complimentary tea is also good, so ask for that! There's only two people working but the service is very quick and they do a lot more to-go orders rather than dine-in. read more

THE quintessential strip mall Chinese-American restaurant. With General Tso's chicken! And it's a Mom & Pop place. That pretty much sums up everything you need to know about this small joint tucked away in the back of the QFC strip mall. The food is solid, but forgettable. Some items are better than others though. Their potstickers are pretty good as is any wok item that they have to make on the spot (cashew chicken). But others that utilize chicken nuggets with sauce (Sweet & sour, orange, sesame, General Tso, Mandarin, etc...) are supremely disappointing. Fried rice & chow main are lacking flavor. I like going here because the lunch portions are somewhat small, enough to satisfy but you wont get stuffed; good for the diet and avoiding the midafternoon overeating snooze! We got 2 lunch specials and a thing of beef fried rice. Very little meat in our lunch specials, might be how they do it. Mine the garlic chicken was like garlic mushroom. But omg amazing flavor! His was chicken liver mein "it was alright " was what I got. Loooove the egg drop soup. The fried wonton is actually wonton skin, so don't expect a wonton, but is such a nice accompanying to the meal. The fried rice,... maybe we are spoiled with our fried rice but it doesn't look done, more like a meal kit of steamed rice and all -just add wok and seasons! Brought the whole family to dine in at Imperial Wok. It was a tad cold at our table (it's winter), but we enjoyed the food, appreciated the well thought out combination options, and had an enjoyable evening. Both the toddler and preschooler enjoyed their meal. The sweet and sour pork was a highlight, although we'd try to substitute out the almond chicken next time. Not a favorite, but the only miss out of many wonderful items. Solid Chinese American food. We would look forward to coming back to dine in or order out. Two words: canned soup. Went here for an early dinner and had high expectations because of the other reviews. Now all I can ask is, what did you eat because it wasn't what I ate. Ordered three dishes: chow mien, general chicken, and chicken with black bean sauce (staying away from the beef as I had lunch at The Keg). Food arrived - looked nice, good presentation. Place was busy with a lot of take out orders while I started eating... Man, this tastes weird...kind of salty, some really dark rich flavor, like too much soy sauce...chow mien and general chicken had almost NO flavor, and the chicken with black bean sauce had too much flavor. I ate it, but I didn't enjoy it. Yes, the lady was friendly and she refilled my water...once. Went to the restroom to wash my hands and passed a pile of food and several empty Campbell's soup cartons (see picture) marked "Chky Beef w/ Veg". There is one server and one cook at this restaurant, which is an indicator that your order wait time may be longer than usual - of course that is also dependent on the number of customers/orders they have. It's a mom-and-pop restaurant run by a couple. It's located in a small plaza next to Bartell drugs and you won't have trouble finding parking here. Didn't think this restaurant was as awesome as some yelpers have described. Some have referred to this place as "the best" chinese restaurant around. This place is standard to say the most. We got the spicy garlic prawns and crispy mandarin chicken combo with hot and sour soup. Quality of the soup was poor in my opinion and the egg soup is not the typical egg drop soup you'd get from Chinese restaurants. On the flip side, my garlic prawns tasted pretty good though. If I ever decide to dine here again, that's what I'd probably get. read more

For the time being I'm doing some contract work nearby and when my coworker mentioned that she had found a great Chinese place nearby, I was all in to try it. When we walked in, I recognized it immediately and remembered it as having been decent. She said that she really enjoyed the dumplings. I'm a big dumpling enthusiast now but 12 years ago, that wasn't really on my radar. We ordered some and I'm not quite sure what I was expecting but when they came out, they were big and beautiful. They looked like the kind of thing you would usually have to drive down to the International District to get. I really wish I'd taken a picture but they were so that we just plowed right through them before it even occurred to me. They were outstanding and this will be my go-to at this place from now on. I also ordered the house chow mein. It was pretty good but the noodles tasted like they may have come from a pillow pack form Cash n' Carry rather than made in house. I can really tell the difference these days. they were well prepared and the veggies and meat were fresh and tasty. On my previous visit, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken as well as the almond fried chicken. They were also fresh, well prepared and tasty. All in all, this is a very solid place and I have no problem recommending it. I will definitely eat here as often as possible. read more

The Mongolian Beef was rubbery with some pieces still raw, the Walnut Shrimp were not cooked all the way through and were swimming in globs of mayonnaise. I've eaten here a couple times - and had their lunch special $6.50. You can choose from about 20 entrees. While the food is good, your portion is on the small side.
