My wife was promised paid parking, 75% tuition fee discounts, and a 90 day pay raise that was never issued. Those are the issues I have regarding employment. Regarding the childcare, we were told that your daycare has lesson plans and potty training. Which you guys promised knowing that you don't offer these services. Your employees are required to wear masks yet nobody does? We started childcare with a subsidy and were never told of the steps in place to inform DCYF of our childcare changes. There are a lot of issues here that I think you should be aware of if you already aren't. As mentioned in other reviews the teacher turnover is little to none - most teachers have known my 2yo since she was a 3mo and it shows. For my daughter, GT is her home away from home and it's because they know her so well and are thus able to guide her learning and development in a highly personalized way. She always runs into the center every morning eagerly without even saying goodbye- which would break my heart (!) except that I know it's just because she's having a great experience there every day. Recently our dog died and I asked for advice and the resources I was sent were so thoughtful and comprehensive - they do more than care for our kids, they care for our families. The staff are well educated in early childhood development and provide a kind, caring, and structured environment that allows kids to thrive! Kids thrive on a predictable schedule and environment. At every developmental struggle from naptime to picky eating to dealing with big emotions we have followed the lead of her teachers and have met with success time and time again. I have read books on child sleep, emotions, and nutrition, but now I just follow the advice of GT teachers who provide more valuable information tailored to our specific issue at hand than I could find in any book. I often find myself repeating their advice to my PEPS group and looking like a hero! People always comment on how lucky we are that our kid sleeps and eats so well and is so happy and well adjusted- it's not luck, it's Green Tree.

We even had to go to the ER a month or so back, and while he was scared we asked him to do his big breaths (learned at Cove), he did, and it helped him get through. We were amazed! The parent community at the school is great too. We've met lots of other engaged, wonderful parents that are just great to see at pick up/drop off or even do play dates with. Toddlers even get the opportunity to care for a garden; they can dig, water, weed and eat as they please. In fact, my 2 year-old considers herself a gardening pro after just a couple of months under teachers Boo and Eric. Only about 30+ families total are enrolled and their photos grace the walls. In fact, many of the comforts you'd expect when dropping kids off with family are present here: you can never be late, every child is seen, valued and respected, snuggles are always welcome and students are taught to be a good friend to others. It's no surprise the owners have adopted three out of four of their daughters; they know what it takes to turn strangers into a family. After a wonderful nanny-share at home--where we could closely observe and control every aspect of her day--my wife and I were understandably nervous about transitioning her to preschool. We did extensive research and toured nearly ten preschools and daycares. Willow Tree immediately stood out. From the very beginning, it was clear that the director, Liu, and the entire staff were genuinely loving and attentive caregivers. From her first day, Aviana loved going to school. Her development accelerated noticeably--she made friends, gained confidence, and even happily ate the school-made lunches. We initially had questions about the Mandarin immersion program and whether it might delay Aviana's English development. Liu reassured us that the opposite would be true, explaining that children's brains at that age are "like sponges," capable of absorbing far more than we often realize. She was absolutely right. Aviana's English continued to flourish, and her Mandarin grew from zero to a working knowledge of the language--truly incredible. To sum it up: if we had to do it all over again, we would choose Willow Tree without hesitation. Two years later, we enrolled our younger daughter, Amelia, when she was just a year and a half old. She began in the Bunny class, moved on to Penguin, and is now in Tiger. She loves it. Her Mandarin is now as strong as her English, even though we speak only English at home. On more than one occasion, I've caught Amelia dreaming in Mandarin--a constant reminder of how much she has learned in such a short time. Willow Tree has provided an exceptional academic and developmental foundation for both of our girls, along with a truly welcoming and supportive community. As Amelia prepares to graduate, we know we'll remain connected through the friendships our daughters have built and the families we've come to know beyond the classroom. I'm so surprised how much Chinese she can understand and speak and she can even sing songs in Chinese. While I can speak Chinese, I usually forget to so it's great to know she's able to learn it at school. The teachers we've been exposed to at WT have all been warm and inviting. Our daughter doesn't warm easily and the transition was long and difficult but the teachers embraced her with love and care. I was a little skeptical at first to hear there were 20 kids, such a big class, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Because there are 20 kids, there are also 3-4 teachers. By having extra teachers, this helps when a kid or two are having a meltdown or just need a little extra love and attention. With some of the kids in the class being older and being able to better regulate and play with themselves, this left the extra teachers to help with the younger, new kids who needed extra help. We attended a different preschool briefly before WT where there were 7 kids and 1 teacher and that teacher seemed to just be in survival mode because they couldn't get to all the kids that needed attention or assistance. Whereas the WT teachers always seemed happy and had good energy. We also love Liu, the director. She cares deeply for the kids and brings amazing energy. It's always a joy to run into her and catch up. Your kids will be in good hands at WT!

We did a tour of this school. The first class room we visited smelled terrible. There were hiding…read morespots in the class that kids could go hide and not be seen. The room was dark and depressing. The teacher sat in her corner knitting. Way to help educate the kids!!!!! I would be so upset if one of my employees I was paying just sat In a corner knitting. None of the kids interacting w my daughter and when she tries to interact with them they were rude to her and didn't wanna play with her. This was my first red flag. Off to the next room. The teachers were warm and welcoming. The kids picked up that vibe and were very sweet. Second red flag- we all went to the bathroom. I went in with my daughter. All the kids pee in the same room with toilets lined up. For whatever reason, I was allowed into this area and should not have been. I was exposed to all of the kids private parts. I could have been anyone in this room with the kids. Had this been my child and other random people in there watching my kid pee, i would have been really upset. Kids were getting toilet paper all over the place and laying on toilets. It was gross. And there was no teacher in there to help. Maybe I'm more old fashioned but I think boys and girls need separate facilities and same gender teachers assisting if possible. Then another red flag. A girl needed to change her dress cause it got wet in the classroom. There's a male and female teacher. The male teacher left the room with her to change her clothes. Again, it should be the female if possible. And my final concern. The final room had a teacher who could barely get off her chair to help the kids. this is a huge disadvantage and. It was such a hinderance that it made it so she couldn't properly care for the children.
