The bar/restaurant was easy walking distance and the food was pretty good as well. The down sides were, the long term sites were pretty messy and almost a deterrent for myself. During my stay I saw two other Rv'ers arrive , sat for a moment and then pulled right out and left. It took almost two weeks before the trash can in my area was emptied though there were two large dumpsters not to far away. The sites were not numbered so I was even unsure where to park. I doubt it really mattered. My septic had no lid on it. I may stay there again but am uncertain.

Also new owners. Stopped in on a Thursday late afternoon to try a burger. The place was empty but it was because it was 4:00 and the dinner crowd hasn't come in yet. Our server was super friendly and we decided to get the burgers. Hubby picked the bacon cheeseburger and I decided on the kid burger because I'm a small eater. The spots are level, that's important in a small rig like ours. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are a dream! The folks in the campground are mostly just passing through and some are there for a couple days to enjoy all the outdoor activities. Those there for awhile are super friendly and helpful, we me several in our little world of chaos! The owner though, he's the real hero of this little haven! We arrived later in the evening only to find an entire group of folks in our spot. Well, what we thought was our spot!! We called the after hours number and one of the folks actually texted the owner for us. Lo and behold, in the year and a half on the road, I had mixed up the reservation date! We were scheduled to be there the day before and they were full that night! The owner found us a spot to park though, luckily with a plug in since it was so hot!! We had a very peaceful night sleep and will forever remember his kindness! Thank you North Haven, you're one of the best!

The bed and linens were very comfortable, and the store, showers and laundry will likely be some of the nicest you'll run across in your travels. On-demand endless hot water was a favorite, for those of us that love long showers or baths. If you get to meet the wonderful owners, Munro and Rachel, you'll see why it is such a special place. Their caring, attention to detail and years of experience with luxury vacation rentals and real estate sets them apart. Nice RV spots, grounds are well maintained and beautiful. For "glamping", the Conestoga Wagons are fun, and there are actual Tipi spots coming that'll be right among the trees! Be sure to walk the nature trail through the woods when you're here. Close to town but not too close. Quiet. We've already booked our next stay, and we're picky. You'll love it!

The same guy smoked all the meats for the BBQ-- he's 19 and very endearing (my wife's words). He gave us the WiFi codes and says it works well--we agree. There's even FREE washer and dryers 2 each. We had too much laundry so we opted to do ours in town. But, really the 5 Star brisket was awesome. We had brisket dinner and ordered More of the brisket to take with Us. It was so good I'm wondering if they ship it. STOP at the Hemlocks and you'll be treated like family.
