It's the 2nd week of April and we out here! (Started writing this April of Last year). 2017 was a particularly good snowfall year. In April, it was not too crowded because maybe people in the city don't expect that there is still snow to board on! It's a year by year basis! But it's super exciting to have a longer snow season. The trees are beautifully covered in snow. It seriously so gorgeous! They appear white, no splash of green in sight! In general, East Coast is known as the Ice Coast! This was the worst ski experience I have ever had! In the business world, this would be considered a breach of contract. For a $100+ lift ticket/ day. You would expect access to the mountain you are paying for. Not here. Only two lifts were open yesterday, providing access to about 1/4 of the mountain, and almost all greens. Today around 11 they added the Bluebird lift, which would have been great if the mountain hadn't become bottlenecked bc no other lifts were open. It took OVER AN HOUR to get on that lift!!! read more

I wish to express my dissatisfaction with Mount Snow's business practices for the recent Founders Day event, which was the worst customer experience I have ever encountered at a ski resort. Mount Snow oversold the mountain in a big way. A friend and I each purchased tickets online, and planned a day-trip to the mountain from Hartford, Connecticut. We left early enough that we anticipated we would arrive at the mountain between 9:30 am and 10:00 am. However, before we even got to Wilmington, we encountered a monumental traffic jam, and it took us over 2 hours to crawl from Wilmington to Mount Snow. They ran out of parking spaces in all lots, yet they posted signs directing drivers to other lots that were also full. Literally hundreds of cars were crawling through, trying to find spaces that did not exist. We finally parked our car in a fire lane where it was illegal to park; however, many other vehicles were already parked there, so we followed suit. We knew we could not leave the car there all day for safety reasons, so we only stayed long enough to visit the Guest Services building to cash in our vouchers. We arrived at Guest Services at noon. Guest Services provided us with $12 vouchers applicable for a ticket purchase on another day, as described in the exceptions to the guarantee terms that are posted on their website. While this response may be in line with their official policies, I feel that an exception should have been made due to Mount Snow's role in creating this fiasco in the first place. We should have been issued full vouchers for another day at the mountain. By overselling the event, they didn't just create an unpleasant experience for their customers. They created multiple safety hazards in the overcrowded roadways, parking lots, fire lanes, buildings and ski trails that could have resulted in injury or loss of life. I shudder to think what would have happened at the mountain, had a fire broken out in one of those crowded buildings. There is no way that emergency vehicles would have been able to access an emergency. Also, by creating a monumental traffic jam, they compromised other local and regional businesses for their own financial gain. Mount Snow should take a cue from one of their competitors, Magic Mountain, and limit the number of tickets sold to match the capacity of the resort. Magic has a self-imposed daily sales ticket limit (1,500 day tickets) to keep lift lines and crowds to a minimum, even on the busiest holiday weekends. What a lovely place to ski. I really fell in love with this place my first time here. From the warm greetings from all the staff to the chill atmosphere- I am a convert. Not to mention great conditions! We chose to bring a picnic smorgasbord among friends and found very comfortable accommodations to eat and chill and rest at the tables. The kids did convince us to buy them waffles - it wasn't difficult- the smells from the waffle stand at the base of the mountain just permeate the air and draw people in and rightly so! Parking was easy - I didn't really think anything was that far and the shuttles seemed to run frequently- although we found a great spot, so it's hard to really speak to this. The bathrooms were clean and well tended to. Something I often see lacking, but not here. And the free bag check is a fantastic idea! It really encourages folks to create room and keep the clutter down so everyone can enjoy the tables and chair without too much stuff in the way. Definitely take advantage of it! After my legs turned to jello and everyone else kept going I discovered a great list of beers on tap and live music upstairs. It was a find! I couldn't see my friends each time they came down to get on the lift. Speaking of lifts... I tend to feel claustrophobic in enclosed lifts and I realized I actually get sea sick from them- thankfully you have two options here the bubble enclosed six or the open six which both get you to the same place. As for trails, there is definitely something for everyone here. It being my first day out in a couple of years stuck to greens and blues and I had plenty of trails open to lay and explore. My friends hit up the north side and the Terrain park and were very happy with both! I will be back for sure - particularly since, if you plan ahead one can get good deals to come ski a great mountain. read more

Mt Snow is my go-to Vt ski area. It's easy to get to from NY (about a 4hr drive), has plenty of eateries, adequate lodging and is massive in size when compared to the closer mountains in PA and NY. While the lodge is still stuck in the 70's, they've improved the food options a bit here; a pizza shop, a burrito and mac n cheese spot, all along with the usual cafeteria style offerings. There's also a bar at the summit, a farm-to-table restaurant and several pubs in different buildings around the base of the mountain. As for the boarding, it's money for a guy like me. I prefer long intermediate runs. Trails where you can really rock some speed in parts and also have a bit of downhill to carve in other spots. Mt. Snow has plenty of these along with other trails to keep you from hitting the same places over and over again. Other highlights... * Bluebird, a lift with a spaceman-esque cover, keeps you blocked from the wind while riding up to the mountain's peak. * The Corinthia area is a HUGE playground for boarders * Moo-ver bus will take you from several local hotels and parking areas and bring you to the base of the mountain My only gripe is that on this visit the mountain had not been groomed from 8-12" of snow the night before, so the boarding was rougghhh. I was here twice in my life, long ago. We had Peak Passes so needed to use one at Mount Snow. My boyfriend changed the name to Mount Blow. We arrived after a long ride and scored 4th row parking. The South American parking attendants and lift workers were very nice. The older ambassador welcomed us. This is where the nice stopped. This is a big mountain. Mother Nature has impacted the snow situation in a bad way. We knew the conditions would be iffy. We came with open minds. We understand spring skiing and were ready for fun. Due to limited trails, those open were jammed. Folks here have a don't give a S%$# attitude racing down the slopes totally out of control. Watching from the lift rides and being on the actual mountain we were shocked by the mayhem. I had two near collisions with crazed boarders and skiers coming from behind. An errant board nearly smashed into my bf's head. On the lift, a group of out of control older teens pelted him with snow balls. Mind you my man is 6'3" and does not take kindly to such ridiculous antics. He gave them a verbal lashing and rather than it ending, the harassed him until he boarded away (their skills sucked in comparsion and could not chase him). At that point we left. Oh, the lunch time scene inside the base lodge was packed to the gills as one would expect. After lunch that tables were littered with trash. As I said, most here do not give a s$%$ and left their crap for someone else to clean. Wow, what a weird vibe. We are seasoned boarders and have never seen anything like it. The ribbons of manmade snow were decent from 9-12 and then the snow turned to slush and huge patches of yellow ice were all over the trails. Unless there is a natural snow fall, southern VT is done in my opinion, for the season. read more

After just returning from a wonderful few days of skiing in Vermont, I'm glad Mount Snow was part of our itinerary! We started our trip off with a single day at Mount Snow, then drove up to Killington for two more. First off, conditions were great! Sure, Vermont received 10-12" the weekend prior, but the 'cats groomed about 40 runs the day of our arrival and did a good job keeping the remaining powder spread out! North Face runs were a tad icy, but there was enough natural snow on the ground to duck into the trees for a few turns all around the mountain. As usual, the bubble lift lines were atrocious, but if you're OK sitting "outside" for the quick chair ride up, take Grand Summit Express or Canyon Express. Like the Bluebird Express, the Grand Summit Express heads all the way up, and the Canyon Express takes you about 80% of the way up, providing access to some great intermediate cruisers like Snowdance, Overbrook, Roller Coaster and Canyon (formerly Standard). Over by Carinthia, the 100% terrain park mountain, Mountain Ambassadors are perched along the large jumps and features, spotting so skiers and boarders can enter safely...a nice touch! As for me, I hit the smaller stuff and sometimes goof off in the half pipe, but tend to ski on the sides of the Carinthia trails (around the jumps and hits) since the trails/snow over by Carinthia tends to be less trafficked (read: better). All in all, Mount Snow continues to be my #1 go-to ski getaway in Southern Vermont. They've got a decent 1,700' vertical, plenty of terrain to easily keep you busy for a day (maybe two), good on-site/nearby aprés ski options in Cuzzins, Station Tap Room, Snow Barn, and The Silo, and terrific staff. All of this in a four-hour drive from NYC makes Mount Snow an easy and worthwhile visit for me! read more

The skiing was mid, the glades were non-existent, and half of the black diamonds were closed off. But my biggest complaint is being OVERCHARGED for food. I went inside the lodge to buy french fries (posted as $6) and I picked up a bottle of mountain dew (the generic 12oz bottle) - it did not have a price posted. I initially tried to pay with cash however they only accepted cards. I used my gift card (that I got for my birthday not cool guys). I didn't know how much they charged it, but when I got home I checked my balance and it turns out they charged me $15.52. So either 1. The small bottled soda costs 9 dollars, or 2. They robbed me of my money. Mount Snow, this is not the kind of behavior I would expect from such a place. It was my first time visiting, and I am very disappointed. As a first time skier, I didn't know what to expect. We came here on 12/12 and the resort was having a special because of their anniversary. Lines were extremely long. In regards to the mountain, they have a beginner area as well as the bigger slopes for the more experienced. The mountain itself was a bit icy, and they didn't have people going around to buff it. We returned the next day, and they no longer had the special prices. It was jacked up back to $60 plus $40 rental fee (including $14 helmet). It just wasn't worth it for THAT mountain, so we didn't ski. We inquired about the snow mobiles and the tubing as their website had advertised, and we came to find that they were not yet open for the season. The website DID NOT specify this, so we drove an hour there just to drive an hour back to our hotel. The staff there does not know what is going on and is not very helpful. It's also as if they say things to go around telling you the truth. The two females at the ticket purchasing station told us that the snow mobiles and tubing were probably open and we should go over to that area and check for ourselves. When we walked over there, we asked another employee and he stated that it was too early in the season for either of those to be open. Overall, we won't be returning to this resort. read more

Went to Mount Snow a couple weekends ago for the first time ever. I was quite excited because it was my first trip of the season. When we got here, we ended up waiting half an hour to get our lift and rental tickets and another half hour to get our rentals. We headed over to the learning area, where there was a long wait for the lifts. By this time, we've already spent a lot of time waiting in lines and for our friends to get ready. Maybe I am not experienced enough, but I didn't expect a long wait for the lifts just to get on the so-called bunny slopes. After this, we went over to the Blue Ridge Express lifts, where we ended waiting AN HOUR just to get on the lifts. I was getting impatient at this point. By the time we got down the mountain, it was already 2PM. Everybody was tired from all the waiting and bruised from the icy slopes. My friend and I decided to go to the learning area again to practice our beginner skills. There were no lines for the lifts, so we ended up going up and down many times. With the disappointment that my friends and I had, I decided to read up on reviews to see if people had the same experience as I did. It appears that this has been and on-going problem and not just an isolated incident. I am not sure I will be back. read more

The place looked in terrific shape. However my group paid for one of their beginner instruction classes, and the instructioner was extremely unprofessional. Kevin lectured a beginners class, and clearly had no patience with the people who found the class to be more challenging. He kept screaming "this is very easy." My man you're not teaching an advanced class, you're teaching people who never put their foot into a ski board before. Patience is a virtue! A member of my group fell off at a good distance, was in pain and could not get up at all. This guy screamed at the person to get up rather than asking if they were okay, and proceeded with their lesson. The person who fell, got left back and had to leave. Their facilities look absolutely fine, but they should really review the performance and methods of their instructors. read more

I really wanted to like it here, but was sadly disappointed. The mountain has such potential but it was absolutely mobbed. I've never seen anything like it. The trails were just jammed, with a miserable combination of screw-you-speedsters and staring-at-my-boots beginners. Considering how crowded the trails were, the lift lines weren't bad but there were individual skiers just shuffling through the lines ("pardon me, excuse me" ) to get to the front, which I thought was just bizarre. You know the mountain etiquette is bad when the teenagers complain that people are rude. On the trails, I saw more than a few incidents that (in my opinion) would have warranted intervention by Ski Patrol; unfortunately, there wasn't a Ski Patrol nearby, so I can't say whether they'd agree. (I did see quite a few rescues, which was no surprise given the number of people on the hill.) This was the first time in years that I've worried about letting my kids (who are teenagers and good skiers) go off by themselves. The lodge was mayhem. Trash everywhere. I'm pretty used to the crowded lodge scene but there wasn't room to stand or move around. When we finally scored a table in the bar (after waiting an hour), we had to elbow our way through this crowd of people who just refused to get out of the way. It was exactly like trying to squeeze out of a crowded subway car at rush hour. One woman, standing near our table, set her drink on our table so she could gesticulate with both hands as she talked. It was a holiday weekend, so maybe that accounts for the crowds. And I guess the resort can't be blamed for rude people. But after selling that many tickets, is it unreasonable to think the resort would put out extra racks? There was equipment laying on the ground EVERYWHERE because the racks were full. It was not a totally negative experience. The trails are interesting and fun, and the resort workers seemed polite and mostly friendly. The parking lot shuttle service is really well organized and quick. The snow conditions weren't bad. Would I go back? Maybe, if I was absolutely positive that it would not be so crowded. If I had to choose between a ski day like that and staying home, I'd have to think for a while. Would I go there with little kids, or novice skiers? Not a chance. read more

Hello. If you're planning a ski trip as a beginner, I do not advise visiting this mountain. The 'green' (beginner) trails are simply not for beginners and I quite literally saw my life flash before my eyes multiple times. Furthermore, the staff that patrol the slopes will actually ski right by you as you're rolled over in a ditch. Nothing about this place is fun and skiing should be cancelled. Mount Snow is good for what it is. It's not a Killington, Stowe, or even Okemo for that matter. It's a great mountain for any family looking to get away and not drive too far, but not so great for someone looking for more advanced, steep terrain or luxurious service. They have terrain difficulty for all skiing and riding abilities which is great, and of course one of the best terrain parks on the East Coast. Amenities for families are decent... snow tubing, kid care, etc. They also have mountain biking in the summer. Unfortunately, the terrain is limited. Yes, there are a variety of "difficult" trails, however the runs tend to feel short and disconnected. The majority of runs lead to the base, where crowds can become unbearable. Lifts often stop working and can lead to massive crowd congestions. The lodges are also old and outdated. The Carinthia base lodge was recently renovated, but other lodges, including the base are extremely old. read more

After reading reviews I have to say I was nervous about ending our ski week here. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. First let me say that I do not ski weekends so that may eliminate a lot of issues other guests have experienced. The mountain is huge with lots of lodges/spaces for people to be so I am assuming that it can get crowded just from the appearance of capacity. We visited on a Wed end of January and experienced no crowds, no wait, and bad I all skiied down and right onto next chair up. Conditions were great despite the lack of natural snow. They were making boatloads of snow all day and it is working ! Carinthia parks are amazing and my 2 boys (13 & 9- boarder and skier) loved it! Even as an older skier I can appreciate the work put into the formation//creativity. All in all we will be back and spend more then a day. Their ticket pricing online was a great deal if you buy in advance-we bought afternoon before. Avoid the Lodge at Mt Snow-see other review. Place is a dump and the only downfall to Mount Snow is that they advertise this place-they really should require standards for places they suggest. Tip: if you are a beginner and want the best ski experience always go midweek. Cheaper, less crowded, and more personal attention. read more

This mountain is gorgeous, the snow conditions were perfect for snowboarding or skiing! However, I actually went for a music festival. The setup was amazing, the light works here were fantastic. The view from on top of the mountain is extremely breathtaking. This is my second home! Closest large ski resort from Long Island. Have been coming here regularly since 2004. My kids learned to ski here as students in the weekend Development program. They offer season pass specials for college students and pass holders have perks such as first tracks, discounts during certain weekends, lesson discounts, discounts at the ski shops. The Six pack Bluebirds lift is a joy, protecting skiers from the bitter VT elements while getting to the summit. The snowmaking guns and grooming has improved tremendously and make the trip worthwhile. For snowboarders Carinthia offers an awesome park and half pipe. The food options have also greatly improved as well. Summertime is also great at Mount a Snow when the mountain is open for biking and activities such as craft fairs and Octoberfest. read more

Giving Mount Snow one star despite all they are trying to do during covid. It isn't enough. I went there yesterday and due to an overnight freeze, they only had four lifts open on the entire mountain, covering thousands of people. Despite this, and instead of notifying their paying customers and offering refunds, they chose instead to bring thousands of people onto the resort, funneling them through two lifts immediately next to one another. The "stay six feet apart" signs are a nice gesture, but when you allow that many people to congregate next to two adjacent chair lifts, it is literally impossible. Couple this with the fact that many, many people are not wearing masks in the lines while they vape or chug alcohol, and you have a recipe for disaster. If you have any concern for your health during this time, stay away from these profiteers. read more

I went to mount snow with family and ended up loving it! Even though it was early in the season, they had great snow. The grand summit hotel was great. The pool was outdoors but was heated and had a swim out area from inside so that you never were really in the cold. The hot tubs were a great place to relax after a day on the slopes. Every time I go skiing I'm shocked by how much money I end up dropping. $72 a day lift ticket. $200 for three days. Whoosh, goodbye bank account balance. As far as mountains go though, Mt. Snow is a pretty solid place to lose your money. There's plenty of blues for the intermediate skier and a fair amount of green (beginner) and blacks (on the scary, mogul-ridden North Face). I definitely recommend checking out the Sunbrook side of the mountain (up and over the summit) for some good runs. The Summit Lodge is a big disappointment (sweaty, busy, bad food) so if you'e planning to meet for lunch midday - make it the Main Base Lodge. It serves adult drinks and boasts a variety of eateries. If you're a snowboarder, you'll really dig the Corinthia area. There's a huge half pipe and variety of fun terrain runs. If you're a skier, it's better to go on slower days since the mountain is easily overrun by weekend crowds during high season. On a Sunday you'll feel like you're going downhill during rush hour in LA. Weekdays feel luxuriously absent of lines and crowding. At the end of the day, that sore, tired, happy, ruddiness will be worth the effort and cost. After all, isn't this what makes winter worth it? read more

Big fan of Mount Snow! Being from CT, I believe this Ski resort is worth the drive. My friends have season passes which came with some perks, including a free lesson and equipment for guests. I took advantage of that and got a free lesson from Kyle. Great guy, great instructor! I can't directly comment on the prices since everything i got was free, but I can definitely tell you that the resort and trails are pretty nice. This season hasn't been the best for skiing/snowboarding due to the weather but Mt. Snow makes a good effort on keeping their visitors happy. The check in point can get pretty crowded and busy but the lady at the best was very nice despite having grumpy customers. I got my boots and helmet ($14 rental) after checking in and everyone was really nice. There are a variety of trails and lifts for everyone to enjoy. While talking to my friends who have been skiing/snowboarding from over 10 years, they definitely recommend the season passes for Mt. Snow if you're from the CT area. Tip: Get your season passes way before the season starts! Saves you alot of money. Also, if you plan ahead, bring your own food! They have some limited options that are obviously very expensive so bringing I'd definitely recommend packing something up for the day. Overall, definitely recommend this place! read more

After hitting about 7-8 different locations in NH, VT and ME Mount Snow ranks in my top two ranked on lift lines, conditions, closeness to Boston, terrain park (I'm a boarder), and cost. They have three terrain parks here. One for beginners/little kids, one mostly intermediate, and one BIG park. I hit the big park this last weekend March 26-27 and they must have built it up because the jumps were huge! It was a lot of fun. The park was practically empty and there weren't too many kids standing in front of the jumps. People seem to have the park etiquette down pretty good here. The conditions have been consistently good for me here. Good ground coverage and very little ice. If you are an "extreme skier/boarder" this mountain might be a little too tame for you, but I love the wide open slopes/rollers. The two main lifts at the bottom can get a little busy, but if you go to the North Face or some of the lifts away from the base, lines are generally pretty short (less than 5 minutes). At 2.5 hours from Boston this mountain is doable for a day trip. This isn't the cheapest mountain, but none of the good resorts are cheap. Oh yeah, the belgian waffles are great here. While I'm writing this, I might as well take a second to evangelize. If you have kids or you are a beginner, STAY OUT OF THE BIG PARK! It's not cute to let your kids ski around the jumps. They get in the way of people who are there to board seriously, and it's actually very dangerous when kids stop near or under jumps. I've seen it happen way too many times. When kids/beginners roll over the top of a jump it ruins the construction of the jump and can make the take-off uneven thus causing the jump to throw you in unpredictable directions. If you're not going to hit a jump at a speed reasonable to clear it, don't bother. You're doing yourself and everyone around you a favor. read more

I really cannot understand what happened here. There is NO SNOW. None. I have seen more snow in the fake ski land in the mall in Dubai. No joke. It was pathetic. There was no snow, no base, no Ambassadors. They were unfriendly, and wouldn't put Dana's bindings on for her, even after she waited for an hour in line. They made her walk to the end of the parking lot to pay $5 and have her bindings put in. Seriously? That's just not ok. Overall, Mount Rain is a fitting nickname for this place. We had so much fun Snowtubing and partying at Silo, but Mount Snow? No. No no no. read more

Pretends to recycle, but throws all the recyclables you separated into the dumpster. Also, they lie and omit critical info on their "snow report." Instead some dude just uses a bunch of mountain bro lingo to talk about the bars and promos, instead of SNOW CONDITIONS. Please, get it together mount snow. Decent slopes, but everything else is getting ridiculous. I repeat, the jargon-filled snow reports are offensive, not quirky. The guy writing them refers to 'rain' as "NFP" (non frozen precipitation). It's not cool to waste your customers time like that. With that said, Carinthia parks and the great local people there are what keep me coming back. read more

Personally I like smaller trails and natural features but theres seem to be more wide open and bulldozed but some people like that. I'll be coming back for thd Terrain park, its great with progressive jumps so you can really take your skills to the next level. read more

Really good instructors, not so crowded My 1st day in Mount Snow. I was suppose to be here on Saturday, but thanks to Mother Nature (and her wrath of ice storms), I had to detour to Windham (go read my review on that) on Saturday and came here on Sunday. I'm staying at the Grand Summit lodging, which is like a 5 minute walk from the Mount Snow. It is so convenient to be so close to the mountain. I wish its like that every time I go snowboarding. Anyway, I went to their discovery center, which is at the other end of mountain (its still not bad considering its only 5 min walk). I went inside and it was quite a mess. They had a lot of cancellation yesterday, so people like that called to cancel and then ended up wandering back here (I did call again to notify, but that didn't get passed along). I had to wait a little, but once their supervisor came in, everything got straighten out really quickly. I went upstairs, found my instructors, Dave and Peter (Dave was teaching Peter on how to be an instructor). Then 2 more students came in, but that was it. So it was 3 students and 2 instructors. It was awesome. Dave rides goofy (right foot forward), and one of the student is goofy, but Peter is a regular (left foot forward) and it was perfect for me and the other student. Both Dave and Peter were very good at explaining everything. The best part is that they got the equipment for me and the other students, and then showed us how to put them on, how each part of the boot and the snowboard is suppse to work. This is the perfect day 1 session for any beginner. I had a lot of fun. After 1/2 hour of practice on the bottom of the slope, we were already taking the lift to the top of slope (on the beginner trail, don't get it confuse w/ top of the mountain). I learned how to ride on the Heel Side and the Toe Side relatively quickly. Even though I fell a dozen of times, I kept on wanting to go back on the lift and go down the mountain again. I look forward to my day 2 lesson tomorrow and hopefully put the heel side turn and toe side turn (and vice versa) together so I can traverse down the mountain with ease. But overall, nice mountain, not too crowded, even for a weekend. I'm sure it will be even less people tomorrow. I can't wait. read more

I can't review the different slopes because I'm a beginner. But I must say I liked the ski school instructors. They were pretty helpful and I always have a great session there. Unlike the smaller mountains, 12 year olds aren't instructing you they are adult instructors and they are very professional. They have a restaurant and a food court like section in the lodge. They sell the best mac and cheese in a booth outside the food court. It's pretty pricey but totally worth it. The best part of my experience is that I lost my iphone (well that's not the good part) and someone one actually returned it! (that's the good part) So I can say Mt. Snow is one of my favorite spots. read more

This winter was my first time skiing at Mount Snow. It was the best! The conditions were amazing and there are plenty of trails for beginners and experts! There are many lifts to get up the mountain and some go to the summit. Most lifts don't have extremely long lines because of this. My only complaint is the food area. Although there are plenty of options, it is very crowded and there is no space to move. This was my first time skiing in Vermont and I loved it. I am def coming back next year! read more

* * * Disclaimer: I'm a newbie! * * * Solid 4 stars. I had such a blast I want to slap on 5, but my rental experience mirrored Nick B.'s -- after waiting in a loooong line to get my pre-ordered, pre-paid lift ticket (why isn't there a separate window for these?), i told my posse I would meet up with them after renting my gear. Wellllll, the friendly fellow guarding the rental shop entrance informed me that I had to buy a rental ticket to get in. So, back to the end of the line, cursing myself the whole time (it was me, after all, who overlooked the signage above the window). I explained my situation to another employee who was sympathetic but unwilling to make any exceptions for me. Over an hour later I finally emerged from the rental shop ready to go. Oh. What about the mountain, you ask? Fantastic. Tons of trails, mild crowds, lotsa lifts. I spent most of my time on the small slopes, practicing, but did finally make one run from the top of the mountain. My entire experience was grand: friendly fellow skiers and riders, helpful staffers everywhere, easily navigable layout. My posse -- all seasoned riders/skiers -- were impressed with the mountain too. They especially liked the terrain park and the extensive trails... Got a sweet deal too: $125 for a 2-day lift ticket, since I purchased in advanced over the interwebs. read more
