He never asked for things. He never wanted to be a bother, and he was begging me all night for pain relief. 2. They knew he had died but did not warn me. I arrived in the morning to visit him. I passed by the reception area where they greeted me but let me go into the room unprepared to find him dead. I was in there alone, checking his pulse and putting a mirror to his lips to check for breath. Eventually someone from the office came into his room to say sorry he had passed.

When you do finally speak with an employee they basically say it's the resident (family member) causing any or all issues that may arise. There is ZERO accountability on the facilities end. The finger is pointed at the resident for many different reasons, some may be concerning but then again, those go without being addressed as well. Favoritism runs high. Be careful your mother or father may be the nurse or the activities directors favorite today but tomorrow the communication may suddenly be cut off , leaving your loved one to wonder what they did wrong. Emails, phone calls, text messages go days sometimes weeks unanswered. In my case not at all from the resident services director when we were in the process of moving my mother. December 17th I left a message. To this day I have not received a return phone call. How is that acceptable. Don't bother calling the CEO. His assistant is his assistant. My phone call was not taken seriously and the return message was as if nothing had been talked about. So disappointing. They will defend whatever they see fit when it comes to staff. To me, anything that concerns me about my mother, I should be able to get a prompt answer and in my opinion the place that is in charge of her daily care, should show a little more compassion and empathy and urgency to have addressed those concerns.. You will not get that here. All of this comes from the top and is a domino effect as to how things are run. They follow their lead and it's obvious that the concern is just not there. Like I mentioned, Unless your loved one is favored and or well liked. Otherwise the care is subpar. If your loved one is difficult like mine, expect the blame for any issues to be shifted in that direction. Assumption does not and will not take responsibility for any mistakes or mishaps that may occur on their end. This is everywhere at Assumption. Somehow my 86 years old mother was able to hide and hoard medications. 2 bottles full of pills. I believe that shows serious lack of care and is potentially very dangerous. The corporate office ignored this subject as if I had made it up. NO follow up, no follow through on this subject at all. Ignored completely. Reception is rude, The website still has the mothers day greeting from 2020, why??? There are no activities going on. Communication is lacking greatly and we moved my mom out in December and were left with a very bad taste in our mouths. I could go on and on but I think you get the gist. I would not recommend Assumption village to anyone looking for a new home and needing to be cared for by someone else. Please take the time to do your research before signing a contract here. Moving a loved one into a facility is a very big decision that should not betaken lightly and needs to be researched, If you are looking for somewhere they will be treated well and you as a family member will feel in the loop as to what is going on, this is not the place for your mother or father. My Mother, a 91-year-old retired nurse from the VA Hospital, was in need at this stage of her life for adult home care and we were fortunate to find ACMT. I really didn't know what to expect and they were the first place we visited. We had another appointment at another facility, but after our visit, we didn't have the desire or need to go anywhere else. Our gut reaction when we walked in said it all. The owner, D'Andrea, also a nurse, has a beautiful, immaculate and spacious home and the ambiance is very comforting, as was D'Andrea and her staff. Two weeks later, zero regrets and only positive things to say about my Mother's time here. They are very professional, patient and most importantly, VERY, kind. My Mother and I feel the love and good energy and are beyond satisfied in knowing that we made the right decision. D'Andrea is a fabulous cook and the meals are generous, wholesome and homemade. They take my Mother, who is in a wheelchair, for walks, play cards with her and make her feel like the special person she is. I never thought that this stage of life would come where I could no longer take care of my sweet Mom and was quite worried about the whole process. My Mother loves D'Andrea and her CNA's and they feel like family to both of us. Age Right Services visited today for an evaluation of my Mom's health and commented on the excellent care, great staff and welcoming home, while sadly stating that it is not always the case. They said we did great in finding this place and we know it! We feel very blessed with the knowledge that Mom is where she belongs.

From the moment you walk in the door you feel the warm atmosphere as you are greeted by staff and begin to see and hear and smell the things which contribute to the culture of this facility. The staff obviously share a common mission, purpose, goals and truly care not only for the residents, but for families and for each other. The facility is always sparkling clean no matter what time of day you arrive you find your family member and their surroundings fresh, clean, neat and tidy. In addition there is a lovely secure outdoor area (seasonably available) with a lovely gazebo, which can be accessed from the living room and it is a lovely place for families to visit with their resident. I have witnessed many residents enjoying this area last summer and my mother in law especially enjoyed this area. Glenmoore is just what their name implies. Gracious! They have been so welcoming from the beginning. Both Managers and Residents. Her studio apartment is clean and comfy and she has a nice size deck for patio furniture and flowers. Housekeeping does a good job coming once a week. Her apartment is always clean when I visit. I have had many meals with my mom and the food is delicious and the choices are many. I can't think of 1 diet that would not be accommodated. She has access to food at any time of the day. They have many activities, but the most important one for my mom are the fitness classes. My mom also enjoys the onsite Beauty Salon. There are so many more amenities to list, but i am running out of space to type. I also like that this is a smaller community that does not have a hotel feeling. It is charming. In closing, I wish we had moved her sooner.

The glenmoore residents reached out to her often after her move including attending her funeral. I can't %100 say that I think this is the best place, however I do know my grandmother enjoyed some of her last fond memories here, including the lady who made things and brought them to sell, the hat tea party, the ugly Christmas sweater context the soft serve machine, and the games the residents would play together. Thanks for making this a memorable place for my grandmothers last few years.
