She's been very happy there and loves all the staff who seem so kind and loving. Our favorite is Mercedes and her daughter Lana. They work really hard to provide many stimulating activities for the residents. My mom is just about to turn 98 and I feel at peace with her being at Cherrywood.

I also want to note that their meals are not expensive. Some people prefer quantity over quality. Your safest bets are the salads, avocado toast, soups, and fruit bowls. Part of my frustration with Cherrywood is that its a retirement home and the residents don't have a choice where to eat most days. At least this is true for those who can't easily travel. So the meals should be appetizing and inviting. There is a culinary director but somehow he claims to not be involved in culinary matters. I want that job. However, one would think the culinary director would offer to forward your concerns. This doesn't happen. The culinary director is NOT the chef. The chef and his staff try really hard. You usually won't find the culinary director. I don't see him helping when there is a rush, he has never greeted me or seated us where there is a line, and I assume he is usually in his office. One does see him on the family events. So he isn't totally invisible. Sounds like Cherrywood needs a culinary director who is responsible for improving the dining experience in their restaurant willing to greet guests. As stated before, Cherrywood caters to 7th Day Adventists and they are vegetarian. Their vegetarian selections are hopefully getting better. They were not really good before. The worst meal I had there was at the last Thanksgiving. That veggie meal included two slices of fake turkey. Think bologna or spam for Thanksgiving. As a comparison one of their competitors offers a nice salmon dinner every day as an option. Cherrywood offers this maybe once a week. Just saying other retirement homes offer better food services. I hope things get better.

The RNs are in touch with the patient's needs and contact the proper medical providers when needed. Unfortunately there is significant delay in initiating proper treatment, such as antibiotics, etc. In addition, treatment managers to not contact family members routinely nor do they give details of care, planning, testing, etc. prior to the group sit down. In some cases this can be a real challenge for the patient, who may need better communication due to hearing, visual limits etc. After release, we inquired about some dates of care via telephone x 3 to the care specialist, with No response. While at Village Rehab, my husband complained about the food, did not eat, and lost weight. So I tasted the "soup"....he was right. After returning home he has regained some weight and pursues regular meals, so it was not his illness.

Glenmoore is just what their name implies. Gracious! They have been so welcoming from the beginning. Both Managers and Residents. Her studio apartment is clean and comfy and she has a nice size deck for patio furniture and flowers. Housekeeping does a good job coming once a week. Her apartment is always clean when I visit. I have had many meals with my mom and the food is delicious and the choices are many. I can't think of 1 diet that would not be accommodated. She has access to food at any time of the day. They have many activities, but the most important one for my mom are the fitness classes. My mom also enjoys the onsite Beauty Salon. There are so many more amenities to list, but i am running out of space to type. I also like that this is a smaller community that does not have a hotel feeling. It is charming. In closing, I wish we had moved her sooner.

She complained about a few things over the course of her stay however, we eventually moved her to a home in Washington to be closer to my mom and she ended complaining that she missed glenmoore and her friends she made there. The glenmoore residents reached out to her often after her move including attending her funeral. I can't %100 say that I think this is the best place, however I do know my grandmother enjoyed some of her last fond memories here, including the lady who made things and brought them to sell, the hat tea party, the ugly Christmas sweater context the soft serve machine, and the games the residents would play together. Thanks for making this a memorable place for my grandmothers last few years.

I tried to approach him to let him know what my concerns were in the dinning room and he just walked away and ignored me!! I can't believe this is the place I leave my aunt in . My Mother, a 91-year-old retired nurse from the VA Hospital, was in need at this stage of her life for adult home care and we were fortunate to find ACMT. I really didn't know what to expect and they were the first place we visited. We had another appointment at another facility, but after our visit, we didn't have the desire or need to go anywhere else. Our gut reaction when we walked in said it all. The owner, D'Andrea, also a nurse, has a beautiful, immaculate and spacious home and the ambiance is very comforting, as was D'Andrea and her staff. Two weeks later, zero regrets and only positive things to say about my Mother's time here. They are very professional, patient and most importantly, VERY, kind. My Mother and I feel the love and good energy and are beyond satisfied in knowing that we made the right decision. D'Andrea is a fabulous cook and the meals are generous, wholesome and homemade. They take my Mother, who is in a wheelchair, for walks, play cards with her and make her feel like the special person she is. I never thought that this stage of life would come where I could no longer take care of my sweet Mom and was quite worried about the whole process. My Mother loves D'Andrea and her CNA's and they feel like family to both of us. Age Right Services visited today for an evaluation of my Mom's health and commented on the excellent care, great staff and welcoming home, while sadly stating that it is not always the case. They said we did great in finding this place and we know it! We feel very blessed with the knowledge that Mom is where she belongs.

Family's clothes constantly come up missing, family's are calling about it all the time! Meals are horrible-always cold They are constantly losing love ones hearing aids and they never brush their teeth! A lot of staff goes to their car and smokes and comes back in the building and on the weekends you can't find no staff anywhere!!! They leave the urine clothes in the rooms so when you come to visit your loved ones the smell is horrible!!!
