We were interested initially due to the social media posts about it being an active community, which was a huge selling point for us. We ultimately did not choose to move our grandmother here due to lack of communication. They would request something, and then go silent for weeks at a time. Fast forward, and I'm now a nursing student looking for part time work. Arcadia came up and I decided to apply, heard back immediately and scheduled an interview. I'll keep my experience short but my "interview" or lack there of with Austin Black was something I have never experienced in my decade in healthcare. It will make a good dinner conversation for years to come. Overall, a sloppy facility plagued with poor communication, inconsistent follow-through and seemingly incompetent leadership.

She was living with my…read morehusband and I. 2 months ago she and I decided to move her into Glenmoore Assisted Living and I am starting to see improvements in her! Glenmoore is just what their name implies. Gracious! They have been so welcoming from the beginning. Both Managers and Residents. Her studio apartment is clean and comfy and she has a nice size deck for patio furniture and flowers. Housekeeping does a good job coming once a week. Her apartment is always clean when I visit. I have had many meals with my mom and the food is delicious and the choices are many. I can't think of 1 diet that would not be accommodated. She has access to food at any time of the day. They have many activities, but the most important one for my mom are the fitness classes. My mom also enjoys the onsite Beauty Salon. There are so many more amenities to list, but i am running out of space to type. I also like that this is a smaller community that does not have a hotel feeling. It is charming. In closing, I wish we had moved her sooner.

She complained about a few things over the course of her stay however, we eventually moved her to a home in Washington to be closer to my mom and she ended complaining that she missed glenmoore and her friends she made there. The glenmoore residents reached out to her often after her move including attending her funeral. I can't %100 say that I think this is the best place, however I do know my grandmother enjoyed some of her last fond memories here, including the lady who made things and brought them to sell, the hat tea party, the ugly Christmas sweater context the soft serve machine, and the games the residents would play together. Thanks for making this a memorable place for my grandmothers last few years.

From the moment you walk in the door you feel the warm atmosphere as you are greeted by staff and begin to see and hear and smell the things which contribute to the culture of this facility. The staff obviously share a common mission, purpose, goals and truly care not only for the residents, but for families and for each other. The facility is always sparkling clean no matter what time of day you arrive you find your family member and their surroundings fresh, clean, neat and tidy. In addition there is a lovely secure outdoor area (seasonably available) with a lovely gazebo, which can be accessed from the living room and it is a lovely place for families to visit with their resident. I have witnessed many residents enjoying this area last summer and my mother in law especially enjoyed this area. I cannot express the level of gratitude that I feel towards Raluca and the staff. My mom is so much more content, she's more talkative and cheerful, and she's healthier now than she's been for the past few years (I think it's because the food they prepare is so fresh and healthy). Miriam the nurse is so attentive and caring and Raluca really understands the needs of her residents. The whole staff is so helpful and kind. It just feels positive there - it's always extremely clean, it smells good, and all the residents seem calm and happy. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

I was immediately surprised at the building architecture and surroundings and upon entering my room, I was greeted by sunlight, clean, fresh, and a great room, kitchenette and bedroom, large roll in shower and bathroom. I was greeted by name and even one of the residents was holding me a place for lunch. The executive staff is very professional but warm and kind. The support staff is equally amenable. I have never had anyone be short with me upon a request. The activities director is amazing in the number of activities she organizes. If you are looking for a place for a family member or yourself, this facility is a nice size. Not too small, not too big. I would definitely return here in the future if necessary for my well being. One of my best friends just retired as an ombudsman for retirement centers. Oswego Place did not know who she was of course and she said to me "the atmosphere here is positive and welcoming."

Bonaventure must be an awful employer to work for because staff turnover is ridiculously high! In…read morethe year+ since my great aunt moved to Oswego Place, there have been 6 (yes six!) different executive directors. She has lost count the number of activities staff that have come and gone and it's a revolving door for care staff. Staff are literally there one week and gone the next. There is no continuity whatsoever and understaffing is a constant problem along with theft. There have been many residents, including my aunt who have had precious items stolen, and although there is a rumor that one of the elderly residents is the thief, my aunt believes it is the unscrupulous staff. Bonaventure leadership does not care whatsoever and gaslights those who report theft. Bonaventure leadership has also been entirely unresponsive to the issues raised by residents. My aunt has asked repeatedly for fresh fruit for breakfast but has never been served anything other than cheap canned fruit. She also asked for more cultural activities outside of the building, but that almost never happens. Our family knows Dwight Dunton, the owner of Bonaventure, and that's why my great aunt was moved to Oswego Place. But it turns out knowing people in high places is no assurance. Dwight rakes in millions of dollars off self-paying residents and Medicaid, living a rich man's life while his employees and his customers suffer under poor management and a lack of investment in business operations and facility maintenance. Sadly, Oswego Place is just another example of a multi-millionaire living off the backs of good, hard working people.

The grounds is one large area of natural beauty that is exhilarating to take walks in and be spiritually and physically refreshed.

My Mother, a 91-year-old retired nurse from the VA Hospital, was in need at this stage of her life for adult home care and we were fortunate to find ACMT. I really didn't know what to expect and they were the first place we visited. We had another appointment at another facility, but after our visit, we didn't have the desire or need to go anywhere else. Our gut reaction when we walked in said it all. The owner, D'Andrea, also a nurse, has a beautiful, immaculate and spacious home and the ambiance is very comforting, as was D'Andrea and her staff. Two weeks later, zero regrets and only positive things to say about my Mother's time here. They are very professional, patient and most importantly, VERY, kind. My Mother and I feel the love and good energy and are beyond satisfied in knowing that we made the right decision. D'Andrea is a fabulous cook and the meals are generous, wholesome and homemade. They take my Mother, who is in a wheelchair, for walks, play cards with her and make her feel like the special person she is. I never thought that this stage of life would come where I could no longer take care of my sweet Mom and was quite worried about the whole process. My Mother loves D'Andrea and her CNA's and they feel like family to both of us. Age Right Services visited today for an evaluation of my Mom's health and commented on the excellent care, great staff and welcoming home, while sadly stating that it is not always the case. They said we did great in finding this place and we know it! We feel very blessed with the knowledge that Mom is where she belongs.
