We took the 10am Sunday brunch cruise from Weirs Beach. It was a nice way to see the lake. There was a pretty good musician playing guitar and singing. But the food is mediocre at best, and the servers had varying levels of civility. We were told the food would remain for the entire cruise. We opted to exit the boat at Wolfboro, where they pick up another load of people. This gave us 2.5 hours to shop, wine taste at Front Four Cellars (which was great!) etc. We were looking forward to a snack when we got back on board. But as soon as we set sail the crew started clearing the buffet - still laden with food - and cleaning! Like sweeping and mopping, resetting tables. If we had stayed on board we'd have had access to the buffet for the entire cruise, and wouldn't have had to watch the crew clean. Just think this would've been good information to have before exiting and to know for future trips. I might not exit at Wolfboro knowing you get less from your experience (and ticket price.) read more

The brunch cruise was great aboard the Mt. Washington ship. there was a wide variety of food to choose from,also coffee, tea, and OJ. on the top floor there was even a live band playing music while you could be sipping a cocktail. The views were impressive whether on front or back of the ship. The only negative thing I could say was lack of instructions when first boarding the ship. But we quickly figured out grab a table and start having brunch right away. read more

We enjoyed our cruise yesterday for the most part. It feels like we are here just a bit early in the summer season so the boat was no at all crowded (it says it can hold 1000 people but there were 300 at most). So the check in process was easy peasy and there was plenty of room to wander around the boat for different views. There is a mix of indoor and outdoor (some covered but some not) seating options. If you go when it is busy I imagine you need to get there early to stake out your spot then plan to remain there. The lake is beautiful and it was a great way to really get a fell for its overall size. I had expected (hoped) for a bit more narration, but what we had was quite informative. The staff were very accommodating to turn up the volume so we could hear better (again if the boat is full it may be harder to hear). In between narrations they played music (rock n roll!). They don't allow ANY outside food or beverage. They do provide cups and a free ice water dispenser. There is a bar with limited types of sodas but mixed drinks, beer and wine are available to purchase. There is a cafe with a decent selection of menu items. You have to scan a upc code to see the menu (bar drink menus are printed and plentiful). And you then order/pay online. In theory they text you when your order is ready to be picked up. But luckily we went down to check and the order had not gone thru. The bar tender (she was VERY clear that she was the bartender and NOT a waitress) said the system was broken (although it had taken our money). So, until we went and checked our food had not begun cooking. The cheeseburgers were actually pretty good. The bartender top had quite an attitude (with us and others). And the lady running the gift shop (quite large for a pleasure boat we thought) was clearly unhappy to be at work. We saw her rolling her eyes at many of the customers. in her defense, there was a school group on board and they were getting on everyone's nerves. Which brings me to my final issue with the cruise. There were approx 40 students (based on the t shirts they were all wearing we'd have to say 6th graders) who ran wild around the ship the entire cruise. They had a huge private room to be in but it seemed that was just the place for the parents/teachers to hang out as they were largely not present to manage their students. We saw one child fall down the stairs with no adults any where to be seen. We could tell by to looks and comments of other passengers that we were not the only passengers bothered by these kids. They truly ruined the whole cruise for us. And my gripe is that only one time did a boat crew member ever say anything to these kids. They really should have intervened firmly and early for the enjoyment and safety of everyone, To the Salem school group who was on the boat on 5/31/24........you should be ashamed of how you represented your school. read more

It was a beautiful night! The sailing is completely smooth. The dinner was so so-it was Buffet style. There was a nice salad with a couple of dressing options, some coleslaw, dinner rolls, a vegan pasta, bake, a potato casserole, a chicken dish, and a pork dish. There were an assortment of desserts, as well. The chicken was really good. The rest was OK. Everything was a little bit on the cool side as opposed to being hot. But it was tasty for what it was. Dinner began being served as soon as boarding. Begin, an hour prior to setting off. One weird thing was that they didn't offer drinks, only water. You had to wait in a really long line to purchase drinks. So they didn't come with the meal -not even soda, and that was a little strange. I would highly recommend grabbing desserts when you go through the dinner line because many of them are not available when you go back down after finishing your meal. There are tons of seating options both inside and outside. The view is awesome from almost everywhere. There was a little bit of conflicting music because on a couple of areas they play the but they also had live music playing in the main dining area. So when we were out on the front of the ship, we could hear both and it was a little strange. She wasn't, but it was a bit weird. The lake is, of course, gorgeous, and if you hit it on a beautiful night, the views are spectacular! I would absolutely recommend this, if you've never done it before. If we do it again, I think we won't do the dinner cruise unless we really want to catch the sunset. I also would recommend highly purchasing the extra amount on your ticket so that you can get the priority boarding. It was really annoying. Wait in a really long line for both drinks and dinner. I don't know if it's an every cruising night thing, but they only had one bar and one area for food distribution. I have a feeling that's normal. I think that the priority boarding would allow you to get there and get through very quickly. I would definitely recommend this as a romantic excursion or as a fun family trip if your kids are content, being on a boat, and just watching the lake and all its beauty. If they need more in the way of entertainment, aside from the beauty of the lake, they will be disappointed. As for adults, who just love beauty and relaxation, this is the ticket! read more

The cruise it self was good. Not knowing the area and availability of parking I paid extra for reserved parking but no where on the website did it tell us where to park. So I had to go to the ticket booth and get directions. The brunch left a lot to be desired, to start they had no milk for the coffee, only half and half. Other than a toss salad, which had a lot of brown lettuce there were no vegetables available. Other then the ham and some spicy chicken there was no other meat available. The entertainment on the different decks were good performing groups, very loud. What was not worth the price was the food. Specifically, the choices which were not as advertised above. I grew up in New England and have been to and hosted dozens of Clam Bake/Lobster Boils call them what you will, and BBQ boneless chicken has never been served (nor is it advertised above) the Deck 2 buffet was serving butter so burnt it was black/brown and made anything used with it inedible. When I pointed this out to the staff I got a shrug and was told if I don't like it use the Deck 1 buffet. Seriously? People in queue around me heard the response and were equally put out. I ended up getting squares of packaged butter from the rolls area and we improvised so my husband could eat his lobster. Because of this I never got my lobster, and proof of that is the photo of my "lobster ticket" which was never used/turn in to retain my 1.25 lb lobster, if I can post it with this write up. There were no steamers, there was no sausage. "Salads" implies options, and there was one wilty, sad green salad, which I watched numerous kids stick their hands in to take the parts they wanted. Not the ship's fault on that one... There were two types of mussels. The potato salad and pasta salad ( those are sides) were both mealy and only tasted of vinegar, and were exactly the same except for the base carb. The potatoes and corn were cooked properly. Desert was dollar store cookies and brownies. There was soft serve somewhere on the ship, but we never found it. I do want to acknowledge the bartender at the stern of Deck 2, I cannot recall her name to recognize her, but she was friendly, professional and a very good bartender. She knew her history of the ship and interacted very well with the passengers. SO my suggestion is do not waste your money on a food cruise. Enjoy the ship for what is meant for, a lovely trip around Lake Winnipesaukee, and leave it at that. read more

Everything was great on our "Daytime Scenic Tour" cruise: the ship, the personnel, the narration, even the weather. Except this... we expected the ship to visit Alton Bay and Wolfeboro from Weirs Beach. Our daughter was visiting from Nevada and we really wanted her to see Alton Bay from the ship, but on this particular cruise, Alton Bay was omitted. I must have missed some fine print - my advise, check on the ports of call before buying tickets. read more

The cruise was nice. Fireworks along the way. The drinks are very expensive, the meal was not what it used to be, a little disappointed. I have $56.00 in gifts received when I book for at Christmas time - this was their deal at the time, and I couldn't use them - NO Wi-Fi so I couldn't go on my phone to retrieve them. I am now out $56.00 worth of credits. If they say they are going to give you extra for booking with them around the holidays, don't, you won't be able to use them anyways! read more

The crew and cruise was very nice however the food was not very good. I expected a little higher end food like a carving station etc but it was all trays of pre made food fit for a lunch room cafeteria at a grade school . The actual cruise itself was lovely, gorgeous scenery, a nice pace, a delicious brunch and good service. I would have given it 5 stars but for the following. The handlers of the passengers on land, before the brunch cruise today, Sunday October 1, were careless and thoughtless, and and made a large crowd of people, including several elderly women, stand bunched up for well over a half hour, in the hot sun, crammed onto a steeply sloping boardwalk while waiting to board (instead of letting passengers sit in the shade, till the boat arrived). When we asked politely for some information on when we would board, since the boat was very late, the lady attendant snapped at us "you'll see the boat when you see it". No apology for lateness, no explanation, and no concern whatever for customers' comfort. NOT the way to handle customers paying over $100 per couple, who were asking a legitimate question. I would recommend the cruise itself, but if you go, be prepared for a sloppy, extended, uncomfortable, chaotic boarding process. read more

All the staff were friendly to both senior members of our party and our little ones; a staff member even went out of his way to help find a toy our 4-year-old had lost and return it to us. While visiting friends in New Durham, they suggested we take a Sunset Dinner-Dance Cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee. The M/S Mount Washington has a long history dating back to 1872. The boat is a 230 foot cruise ship offering daytime and evening scenic cruises from May to October on Lake Winnipesaukee - New Hampshire's largest lake. Lake Winnipesaukee has more than 300 islands and covers 72 square miles of crystal clear water located at the foothills of the White Mountains and surrounded by mountain ranges. We boarded from Weirs Beach at 5:30 PM and sailed at 6PM. We found a table for 4 on the main deck. The theme for our cruise was "Swing to the Oldies" with Annie and The Orphans live band providing the music on the main deck. On another level, they had a singing DJ. We were so lucky that the weather was just perfect - air was crisp and the sky was blue. It was a little windy on the top deck, but what a view we had. The cruise around the lake was stunning, the music and dancing so much fun. The only disappointment was the food. It was a standard buffet, nothing exceptional. They offered a garden salad with all the fixings, roll, butter, Cole slaw, corn, Spanish rice, chicken, beef tips and fish. For me, the fish and salad were the best of what was offered. For a price of $56.00 for adults and $46.00 for seniors, we felt they could have offered more on the buffet. Further disappointment awaited us when we saw the so-called "dessert table." It was not much. Except for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and the music. The staff was very pleasant. read more

2 1/2 hour Sunday brunch tour of Lake Winnipeausakee. Lovely weather thankfully but boat was late getting in. No announcements were made at all. Like cattle, outgoing persons were led off the boat, while the next herd was let on when the boat finally arrived over 20 mins late. Lovely vessel which we boarded to commence tour and partake in brunch. Again no instructions and we had to go find crew and ask questions. Can we eat now? Is it all you can eat? Where can we get water? Other beverages? Bathrooms? Brunch was a most solid disappointment. Lack of quality foods--shrimp was gone immediately and never replenished. Plus, it had the shell on. Salad was so sad. All breakfast items--which dominated the choices- were over cooked. The potatoes had a strange taste and were not edible. Food items were not labeled. So if you had a seafood allergy or other concern--tough luck. Meat carving station was sub par in that the only choices were a slice of steak or ham. No roast beef, turkey, chicken,etc. No bread available. Desserts available but not so great--like something one might pick up in a grocery store. The ride was smooth and serene and some history and geographical info was given on the return route. The lake is lovely and most worth seeing. Not worth the added price of brunch. I would not recommend nor will participate in again. read more

I've always wanted to go on the Mount Washington Dinner Cruise. I had talked 2 other couples into going with my husband and I while we were on vacation. The only issue we had was that the layout of the tables was not as it was when I chose our table ahead of time. It showed our table was the last one in the row but it was actually against the box that held the life jackets and there were other tables for 4 people after that. However, I saw a table for 8 by itself in front of the bar. When I asked a staff member if we could move there, they were happy to move us there. Everything and everyone were wonderful! The food was delicious - there was chicken and short ribs. The music was a singer. He was good but it didn't create a dancing atmosphere, thou! The staff members were all very pleasant and happy to chat with everyone. The views were beautiful! And watching the sunset was a huge bonus! I highly recommend taking this cruise! read more

We had a lovely trip on the Mr. Washington to Wolfeboro and back to Meredith harbor. There was enough narration to point out islands of interest, but not so much that it interfered with the peacefulness of the trip. Definitely a must do even if it's a do again like with us! read more

We paid for upgraded seats. Mistake. It was a VERY hot night and there was no moving air. When we booked, it said there would be entertainment on all levels, nope, only the lower level that didn't cost extra. The only benefit for upgrading our seats was to get beverage delivery to the table, but it was too hot to sit there for any amount of time. The bar on our level was closed and there was not buffet on our level as indicated when we booked the upgraded seats. We ate and left the table for outside. You couldn't hear the entertainment from outside which was a bummer because the guy was good. Glad we got to see a beautiful sunset, wouldn't do it again. read more
