All good work, but my quibble was follow up on some outstanding issues (mainly with a knocking noise that they didn't seem to get to the bottom of and didn't follow up) which led me to explore other companies - which unfortunately were no where near as detailed or close (actually most further) from a solution and I came them another chance and I'm glad I did. Justin helped work through some more detailed troubleshooting and provided a solid quote (detailed and quick) for solutions in a quick manner. He listened and cared. He was knowledgeable and thorough. While not only getting the issues I had resolved, was also able to resolve other code and safety issues that stemmed from the original install of the boiler. I would highly recommend True to others and will also recommend to other neighbors within my condo complex that have similar setups and might need work. However, what gets me, is that Tri Peaks doesn't actually DO plumbing; they contract this out to a 3rd Party Company, which wasn't disclosed at all. I have someone arrive and say they are from Mr. Perfect Plumber, which caused some confusion as I vetted Tri Peaks - I didn't vet Mr. Perfect Plumbing . . . The guy from Mr. Perfect Plumbing explained the situation and was nice enough - a little pushy in terms of selling, and the quote he provided was the highest (40% more than the other highest quotes (5 others) I received for this job. I would rate higher had it been disclosed they don't do plumbing and send out to a 3rd party . . .

Highway 103 Plumbing (Black Hawk, Colorado)…read more Not certified HVAC techs or BBB accredited. False advertisement. Over Charged. Don't Use. Basically claims to be a certified HVAC tech. Don't trust him. Colorado Natural Gas returned the following day after his service and gave me a second shut off notice on my wall heater because of improper technician work. The CNG tech also mentioned this individual has terrible reputation around the area and was able to call out his van type. Service Call Experience: I have a small wall unit furnace. Was tagged by CNG for leak after they installed new meter. Required me to call a service tech to fix. First service call, he created a noticeable smell gas leak in appliance that was not there prior. After I called him a second time and he returned to fix the leak, I had to call another tech the following day, to come fix his work. There was still a smell of a gas leak the following day. -I was charged $210/hr, the "premium rate" +$78 fee to make the trip (standard fee), for simple repairs. Supposedly he lives a mile from me. -The first time the service call was performed earlier in the day. The main issues were not fixed. -Issues being a small leak from the appliance and an ignition switch. Report from natural gas company given at beginning of service. I was charged for --a new thermo coupler (recently was replaced by us, was not needed to be replaced nor highlighted on report by natural gas company) --measured gas outlet pressure --and a dismantled ignition switch, a new one was not installed during service. --a broken thermostat, that worked before his service. $18.88 was the total of thermo coupler $315 labor $78 (drive out fee) --------------------- Total was $411 -I provided soap and water to test the gas lines for leaks. He did not have gas reading gauge/meter required to take gas measurements. -Did not provide an invoice on work completion, instead a hand written note. -I cannot now turn my thermostat past the setting of 2 now, when prior I was able to. -When I asked about over charging for the service, and pressed him on the terrible work, he did not want to discuss refund options or discount, and claimed to be "orthodox" with his work habits. Despite charging 2 hours of labor for list of fixes above. It did not take him 2 hrs. -The following day, another gas odor was smelled. I called Colorado Natural Gas, they flagged my wall furnace for the same issues I called for to begin. The CNG tech said that my unit was not fixed and actually made worse. -The job should not have been charged for more than an hour. *If the work was "premium rate" work, it should have been done right the first service call. This is not premium rate work. This is crackhead work.

I am so glad I found Halo HVAC through Yelp! My AC stopped cooling in a heat wave and I had many…read moreother companies quoting me $200++ for diagnostics or unable/unwilling to come out for weeks. I went to Yelp looking for a better option and definitely found one! Halo was able to come out within a couple days of contacting them and the diagnostic fee was $89, which was to be applied to any work performed if needed. it turned out it was a tripped breaker they were able to reset and my system is cooling perfectly again... for $89!! The most notable and appreciated factor for me is they didn't come in trying to sell me service plans, upgrades to my system or accessories, or otherwise upsell me on a well maintained and well functioning older HVAC system. Even when I asked for a quote on a heat pump to take advantage of the rebates while they last, Halo didn't push me to pick the most expensive option or upsell me on a pricier type of system. And icing on the cake - despite a lot of in and out while working on figuring things out, my technician was constantly putting on and taking off booties to keep my house clean. It's a small token of respect that goes a long way, and I very much appreciate it! I'll be using Halo and referring them to friends and family in the future!

There was a slight deviation from the equipment in the quote and what was installed and I wasn't even worried. Three weeks later I got a call that they had the part and they installed it! Being true to what they commit to, even if I wasn't bothered by it, seems to be their culture. Thanks!
