I looked on maps for a place to go running and this park was suggested. I was a little disappointed as it's just concrete sidewalk not my preferred place to run. I decided just to walk. However the loop around the park is about a mile which makes it for interesting scenery. If you're going to do a few loops. They have disc golf, basketball, horseshoes, volleyball, and a number of playgrounds. Plenty of covered picnic space whether you have a small group or large group. Lots of families, walking dogs, kids on scooters - overall a quiet and respectful space. read more

Today was a very sunny, but not too hot type of day. Perfect park weather is what I would call it. Overall, it's a pretty good park. It's large and has multiple playground areas, a splash pad area that actually works, two really large slides, tons of sitting/table areas and plenty of large fields. The girls working here were amazing. Flexible with the hours we didnt know we needed. We had our baby shower here and it was perfect space for our 100plus guest. We also had a small soft play area. They had a microwave we could use and also tables and chairs. We just added table covers, and center pieces. :) read more

This review comes from a disc golfer perspective. The park itself is great. A bit of everything for everyone. They even have a horseshoe throwing area! The park is kept clean and maintained. Plenty of parking. The disc golf course itself has been adjusted over the past few years. Holes have become shorter. Pretty open shots for a good portion of the course. Peak times are generally on the weekends. Saturdays for sure. Lots of pedestrians so be mindful. Lots of ace and bird opportunities. See you on the course! read more

The group of us that meets once a week to chat and share each others comp-any decided to meet at Mountain Crest Park this week. It is a Clark County park in the northwest at the corner of Durango and Lone Mountain. The entrance is from Durango. There are a lot of things to do here. There's a nice play area for kids and the swings have a padded surface. The ones who fall off the swings won't be hurt when they land. There is a frisbee golf course, there are a number of pavilions for picnics, and there are sidewalks around the park for walking. There's a lot of green for people to run and play. I love playing disc golf at Mt. Crest. I wish they would resurface the t-pads because many of them are very slick and dangerous. I went down a few times along with many other golfers. Being a senior citizen i don't bounce back like before.The grass next to the pads used to be an option but it's no longer grass but dirt pits. I've called and talked to the maintenance supervisor a few times but that went nowhere. I guess someone has to get seriously hurt before they do something. read more

I love this park; it has the perfect walking paths for me to get in 4 or 5 miles. This park is spacious, beautiful, and clean. However.... And, yes--there is a however. Those parking benches and picnic tables have got to go. I can only imagine how much bacteria is just multiplying on a minute-to-minute basis. No amount of money, not all the tea in China, and not unlimited foot rubs would entice me to park my rump on any park seats. If it ever happened, I'd need a body transplant because I'd feel contaminated for the rest of my life. Still love the park, though! read more

This is a nice park with many amenities. Lots of room to run or walk your dog. There is a park for kids and plenty of parking.

This is a great spot for leisure, working out or frisbee golf. The park allots for those who would like a stroll, picnic in the park, burning kids energy, or working out. There are so many picnic areas around the park that you can keep social distancing practices going. Every day that I walk here, I see the same people and most are really friendly. This park is located in the Northwest part of the valley between North Summerlin and Centennial Hills/Providence area. Its not classified as a Regional Park but its full of different amenities that one can enjoy: -Wide walking trails (great for a stroll and dog walkers-family friendly). -Large playgrounds (One for Big Kids and the other for Smaller Kids). -Splash Zone/Fountains for Hot summer months. -Basketball Courts -"Beach" Volleyball Court -Frisbee Golf Course with strategic numbering system. -Small/Large sized covered picnic gazebos for small and very large parties including bbq grills. Some are available for reservations but the majority are first come based.) -Public restroom is available near the two large playgrounds. Closes at 11:00pm nightly. This is a great park, if you have a dog or a small child. I came to run on the trails and they were congested with dog-walkers ambling along, standing directly in the path, and in some cases, not picking up after their pets. Park itself is larger than expected, with basket ball courts, a frisbee golf course, and multiple playground areas including a water feature and a couple of large slides. Parking is plentiful, bathrooms are clean. Not a great place to squeeze in a run, but probably pretty solid for most other things. read more

Mountain Crest Park is great! I am happy to have this park in my neighborhood. First off, this park has a huge 18 hole frisbee golf course. My hubby has really gotten into this sport since we have this course so close. I would like to play, but when I throw a frisbee, it goes off in a totally different direction than where I wanted it to go. Oh well. This park has a nice walking path through it as well. The path also rises and falls, so you don't get bored on your walk. The 2 playgrounds are fun as well. It is nice to have 2 playgrounds because they are for different ages. It is great to have a place for little ones to play without them getting run over by the bigger kids. And the super slides are so fun. You actually have to climb up a huge set of stairs to get to the top of the slides. Now that is a slide! During the summer, there is a decent size water feature to play in. It is a nice break from our 100+ days. In this area, the ground has a soft coating, so you can go barefoot and still have traction and you won't burn your feet, which is very important in Vegas. For a more relaxed outing, there are a ton of tables, BBQ pits, benches, and even tables to play chess/checkers/backgammon scattered around, so you can find a comfy spot for yourself. Not a good place to reserve a picnic table for a party. Few weeks ago we reserved few tables for a birthday party on Saturday, April 6th. My husband came at 12 pm to set up our reserved tables for a party but found out other group of people gathering at our spot. That group of people didn't wanna leave even so my husband had a receipt and contract stating that gazebo was rented out by us. Whole family were extremely rude without any basic good manners. Few guys from THAT family punched my friends and we had to call the police. Not a good place to bring your family and kids unless you wanna get assaulted. I wish managment can be open on weekends to protect GOOD families that would like to enjoy their normal quality time at the park and will ban families that curse, fights and leave trash at the recreation ground. I chose this park specially because of the seating and eating areas. I checked yelp to find a park that was "picnic friendly" and really liked what I saw from the photos so we stopped by to have lunch in the park. There were quite a few different groups of people there either playing on the swings, having food of their own or taking pictures. Some folks were out walking their dogs too. There is so much room to sit at a table and eat. Most of the tables are under a gazebo-type area and there's plenty of space to accommodate big parties. They have grilling areas if you want to bbq, but I didn't see how well maintained they are. This park is huge and there's a small water area for kids. It's pretty cute! Just push a button and water comes shooting up from the ground and above from some water flower hoses. It's a nice area around the park and it is very well kept up. We really enjoyed our picnic and I'm thinking I'll take my nephew there since it's so close to his house. Beautiful park overall! read more

Those Frisbee guys were throwing them so hard and I was afraid I was gonna get nailed in the head just trying to enjoy myself on a walk. Doesn't make the most relaxing experience. We made a reservation for a baby shower. We made the reservation for the time of the event without considering we needed time to set up prior to people arriving. Having said this we needed to get in early. So after the back and forth with staff I got a call from the supervisor Missy and she was Amazing!! She fixed the problem with minimal cost!! A big group of friends and I got together for some disc golf this weekend. Normally, we go to Sunset, but Sunset was closed for a disc golf tournament. Mountain Crest is REALLY far from where I live...but it was worth the trip. We had a blast! The course itself is 18 holes, and there is a nice variation from par 3-par 5 throughout the course. The park is beautiful, and seems to be very well kept. With the park being so far, I probably won't go too frequently, but I will definitely be back. read more

Nice big park for kids and the disc golf enthusiast. Large grass fields, plenty of trees, lots of kids play equipment, lots of picnic tables, a water fountain feature for the kids, & restrooms. This park is everything you would expect & a little more. This park has a full frisbee (disc) golf, par 62. The trees create welcome obstacles for the course, but don't make it impossible to enjoy yourself. I think it goes without saying, but you have to bring your own discs. You can purchase frisbee discs at Walmart, sporting good stores, etc. Everyone seems to have a cooler in tow. The park is surrounded by major roadways on two sides, but the kids play equipment is setback in the middle of the park. Overall, this is a good park to bring your kids to play and let the adults enjoy some cheap sportsman like activity! Note: this park does not have a dog run, but there's plenty of walking paths and greenery for them to enjoy. read more

Came to this park yesterday to play some frisbee golf with my friend for the first time. I loved the park itself, it's huge and gorgeous! The frolfing course was sweet, lots of cool set ups like double rows of trees, hills, sand traps, etc. I was able to get some exercises in during our play too! There are some cool jungle gyms and set ups for the kiddos - most with tents over them for the extreme summer heat. There are also a lot of tables to reserve for park parties and such. Cons: dog poop WATCH YOUR STEP, a lot of people come and play so you might feel rushed LOVE THIS PARK!! read more

This is a very large park with many open grass fields that people play freesbe golf on or just lay out and get some sun. There are multiple pavilions around the park with one very large one located next to the playgrounds and splash pad. There are basketball courts also available for use. I only give this park 2 stars because of the rude Park manager who doesn't give a crap about the people who recreate here. I went to the office to complain about the sprinkler schedule which is blasting the disk golf course at lunch time. Though she had a good explanation of why they can't water during the night in winter, she stated they have from 9am-3pm to water the grass. I told her it is lunch time & everyone playing disk golf on their lunch breaks are complaining & couldn't they water that area at the other available times & she said, "Oh well. That's just too bad". There was no effort to try to solve a problem & on top of that she had an air of superiority & talked down to me. As I left she snapped, "hope you don't get too wet" as she looked me up & down. I really love this park, but she's the worst manager ever. read more

I feel like after going here at least once a week for over a year I should probably write a review on the park. I must admit that the only reason I go there is to play disc golf and because this is a review of the park it might seem a bit odd. If you are looking to play a game of target practice and maybe take out a small child or two you should probably try playing disc golf on the weekends as there are almost always large parties and groups of people who show little to no respect for the fact that there is a disc golf course and just assume they can frolic anywhere. Major thumbs down for this even though the course itself is fun. As an above average disc golfer I feel that this course is great for beginners, but anyone with a high skill level will find out quickly that the Pars are basically tailored towards newer players. Add in the fact that some of the signs are either stolen or scratched out to the point of being illegible and there are some flaws. As long as you are just going to have fun this place can be a blast, and if you take out a few ignorant people along the way it's just one big bonus. Happy hunting! read more

Best Park in the Northwest!!! Open 24/7 Police regularly patrol the area and respond quickly. Watch for disc golfers! Community Center there offers some nice classes and you can make reservations for other parks there. Kids love the huge slide, and water play area. Basketball courts, multiple play areas for kids Large staff on hand who actually care. Park can get VERY busy, with parties etc. We have often asked park staff for extra garbage bags etc and they have accommodated us with no problem !! Dog walkers, large walking paths, Trees and small rest areas all around the park. I do say watch out for sprinklers if you are there later at night... usually around 11ish they come on with little / no notice... read more

What a gem! I recently discovered this route in my attempt to find a less congested route to work one day and I have managed to frequent it whenever I have a chance. With plentiful paved walking trails, friendly dog walkers, and a calm location, this park is perfect! I love the fact that it has a water attraction, benches placed strategically throughout the park as well as places to play chess/checkers. Its located off of Durango with the west facing a quiet community and amazing mountain views. I am in love with this park! read more

Googled this park and the one thing my kids were looking forward to was closed, they were the big tube slides. What I didn't like was that they boarded up the bottom of the slides with metal gates that were not properly secured but didn't block off the top. Kids were going down at the risk of seriously hurting themselves. Also, there was a lot of traffic going in and out. read more
