Medium size park in the middle of a very ritzy neighborhood. Park has 4 baseball fields and a snack shack. Pecolle Little League uses the baseball fields as their designated fields, so am at the park often. The bathroom by the field is largely maintained by the snack shack so most of the time will be supplied and clean. The fields are in fair shape as well with dug outs and a sitting stand area on each side. There is ample parking and some of the parking is actually covered. There are some homeless/people that park in the park, but they are on the side near the play area. I do see regular cops that patrol them and the area, so they don't seem to really bother anyone. There is a small play area and some grass area with trees. The ice cream man makes a regular appearance. read more

My 1,000th review goes to Rainbow Family Park for having an available picnic shaded ramada reservation for my daughter's bday! Although the weather was HOT like tamales, it was perfect for several reasons!!!! The splashpad, the shaded playground, the tall trees that also blocked the sun, the grills with its own individual sink and buffet table, the bathroom close by and the ample space for social distancing. I am pleasantly surprised about the sprawl of Rainbow Family Park in Las Vegas. When we were there, my pops and I felt like taking a nice walk outside and "Yelp'd" some walking park options near us. Rainbow Family Park surprised us because it had a nice layout that took us to different parts of the park --- from the baseball fields, workout equipment, over a bridge, and through the shady path of trees. A few turns around the park and we were already up 3 miles! In other words, it was a great place to take a walk (without feeling like a chore) and be in community with others who wanted to enjoy the fresh out doors. It seemed like other folks were enjoying the space having picnics on the grass and others playing baseball with their kids. We've come back a few times actually whenever we are in Las Vegas. read more

First time to this park over this holiday weekend and I must say I was impressed at how well kept it was. I am thinking it is because of the High end real estate surrounding this place. The people in this area won't take anything less than perfection for their children I am sure. The park is located west of Rainbow on Oakey Blvd. It has a small driveway entrance that opens up into a great play area and very well maintained baseball fields equipped with bleachers and covered batters boxes. Rainbow Family Park had plenty of parking even for Easter Sunday, which is a huge park day for Las Vegas and certain cultures south of the border. The lawns were well maintained and the restrooms were so clean that the floors were painted and not a single sign of graffiti. High end tax dollars hard at work I wonder which councilman lives in this area? The baseball fields had championship banners from the senior league softball tournaments from several years so I am sure that might be the answer to my question. This park is funded by old rich white men that play softball. That's ok great facility nice little hidden gem. read more

This park has quickly become a favorite of mine: + Plenty of parking. + Paved and shaded body weight workout area with bars! + Walking/Running path is paved and fairly flat. + Bathrooms are always clean. + Plenty of seating by the baseball field, stairs for drills. + Playground area for kids plus water feature for summer. + Really nice bridge, good for photos. + Covered picnic table area available by reservation. I mostly come by here for workouts with a coworker, but the "family" part of the name is not misleading: there really is a lot here for everyone to do, and it makes a good spot for group gatherings! read more

I would give five stars but the jogging trail is a mess. Needs to resurfaced badly. There are a ton of shady spots. The park is clean, no homeless people. There are a couple little play areas tucked around, so you aren't right on top of other people. The grass is green with rolling hills, no literally, the kids rolled down then back up. No dog poop, well my cousins dog pooped but we cleaned it right up. :D There's a big covered area for parties, I think they had barbecues. There was a party going so I couldn't see. There is a small water area, but they weren't hooked up yet. Looked fun. All in all we were happy. read more

Nice park with lots of grass and trees. Playground climbing and slide equipment was a little difficult for small children under 3. Water area with dolphins was a little weathered with 3/4 dolphins damaged. Lots and lots of ants and hanging tree limbs and plants needed trimming. read more

If you like baseball then this park is perfect for you. I came here a couple of times to watch my God son's t-ball game. Omg it's the cutest thing ever. (Check out my Photos/videos) They have 4 baseball fields (i believe) and a lot of parking near the area. It's a nice hidden clean park. Good sitting areas to watch the baseball games and the restroom are pretty clean. If you know like how i know, living in Las Vegas you don't see a lot of green grass so it was nice to see a ton of green grass here. They do have nice areas to layout a blanket and just relax but be careful because you might get hit by a baseball lol You could bring your dog here but please clean up after them. I did notice some poop in the area. (Hate it when dog owners don't clean up after their dogs) read more

Lil man plays some games here from time to time. Only major complaint there is NO shade coverage, so it makes for a really hot day at the park. Fields are nicely kept though and the kids tend to love playing at these fields. read more

I work from home, and so I have decided to investigate some nice places to walk and stretch after being at my desk. Rainbow Family Park is my first review of a local park. I found this park to be spacious, clean, well maintained, and appreciated. It is not far from Sahara and Rainbow, off Tenaya bordered by Oakey to the north. There are sports fields, a playground, restrooms, a sort of exercise parcours with bars, benches, a paved walkway, and plenty of parking to the south and north sides. It may get crowded on weekends, but today it was fine. I liked the plentiful trees and birds, too, for the natural flavor. There are several shady, grassy knolls which make it look very cool. There are covered picnic tables for barbecues. Today there were walkers like me, retirees with their dogs. picnickers, people studying, and families with children. I think this could get to be my favorite lunch walk spot. read more

It's such a great park with a lot of shady areas and parking spaces. It's very calm and not as rambunctious as other parks in the valley. It's somewhat secluded and far from the road, gives enough space for my dogs. YES. I've finally found a park I can enjoy! It's a typical park in Vegas. Has a water area for the little ones and the basic jungle gym. There is a baseball field located towards the back and more parking spaces there. I love how there is a bridge in the middle of the park. Although it doesn't have water under it, it's still a nice touch to the park with the rolling hills. There is even a family taking professional pictures on it! How cute. I recommend you bring a blanket or chairs to sit on because the grass here is extremely itchy! read more

Maybe at one time this was a decent park, but it has been horribly maintained and is more a hazard than anything. There are some nice features, but most are not functional or safe -- The first thing I noticed was was the enormous amount of trash, dead leaves, and standing water that covered the entire property and seemed to accumulate up against things. It just makes me think that mosquitoes, other insects, and molds could be a real problem. Then I noticed I had little thorny things on my clothes and began realizing how poorly maintained the grounds were -- weeds coming up through cracks growing up and along walls, tree branches hanging low, bushes not trimmed. That also makes me think of spiders and what else might be living in there. The closest restrooms to where my boys and I were playing were locked up and NONE of the water fountains were on! We walked a very long distance across the park to find another set of restrooms but still no fountain. This was when we decided to leave. On the way out we noticed this sun dial feature that is located on a large, fairly elaborate concrete slab directly in front of the swings and a small playground. This was where I spotted a USED CONDOM on the concrete!!! There is just no excuse for groundskeepers to not regularly clear the trash from the concrete at the very least! And nobody spotted the adult activity when it was happening in front of the playground?! Never coming back here. read more

This park is a hidden gem. I searched for parks in the area while I was running errands with the kids and found this place. The playground equipment is no where near the street which is nice when you have more kids than parents. The equipment is well-maintained and free of graffiti which is miraculous in this city. There is a water pad but it was closed for cold weather when we were there. My only complaints are that the bathroom ceiling and walls are coated in massive spit wads, looking precariously overhead while you pee and that the drinking fountain was broken so there was a swamp-like stagnant water in it. read more

I came here to celebrate the first birthday of my friends son. It was my first time at this park, dedicated in 1998. While this park offers several things the baseball and softball fields probably yield the most attention. They have 5 of them and they are well kept. From the O'Bannon Dr. side you will find 4 of the 5 fields and plenty of parking from that entrance. From the W. Oakey Blvd entrance is the other field and picnic area that you can reserve. The picnic area is first come first serve if not reserved. Even though my friends reserved the spot months in advance and the paperwork was posted showing it was reserved, people had already posted up in the spot when they arrived and had to be told politely that the spot was already taken. The picnic area is nice and spacious. Lots of tables under plenty of shade and plenty of surrounding tables out of the shade. My friends also hired a taco man and they had plenty of space to set up. There is a running faucet and counter area. The faucet/sink needs work because the faucet was bent and the bottom of the sink was black. Cans are set up for trash and recycle and working outlets meant we were able to play music which was nice. They have a small playground area with slides and swings as well a water play area that the kids at the party had a great time cooling off at. There are plenty of big trees where the large imported pinatas that were brought to the party hung and the kids had a blast. When it comes to the fee for reserving the picnic area (there is only 1 picnic area) I can't believe how affordable it is. For just $25 the picnic area is yours from 8 am - 10 pm. My nephews first birthday was at a park in Henderson and the fee was much, much more and the picnic area was smaller with less options. For parties larger than 50 you need to call and find out about possibly getting a permit. You will also need a special event permit if you plan on serving alcohol at your party. When making your reservation make sure and let them know if you plan on having a DJ or bounce house. read more

I gave this park 2 stars simply because there are much better parks in the area. In the name of the park itself is the word family, when you think family you think children right? The water area is concrete and just consists of 4 seal statues spitting water. The playground is sand, which not only gets all over the place, but when combined with spitting seals sand just gets worse LoL. 3 stars would be average, but the average parks I take my son to are quite a bit better than this one. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they have a baseball field and most parks don't have one read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 15' * 10/100 Discovered this quaint, well-maintained park along Oakey Boulevard and Tenaya a couple of months back. It is well-tucked away in a quiet neighborhood only 5 minutes away from where I live and boasts some neat facilities. My friend and I have since taken to morning runs at least once a week. One complete round covers 1.5 miles of track complimented with beautiful scenic views including a play area, elaborate grassland and baseball fields occasionally teaming with little league games. We do enjoy warming up before our work out on the sit up benches and munch on some snacks on the grass when we're done. There is ample amount of shade around the picnic area but if you're planning to run this summer, push it back to early morning since there is no escape from the sun when on the tracks. Birdwatchers, this is also a wonderful place to witness different specie of birds foraging side by side. I find particular interest watching starlings and robins since I haven't been able to see the former elsewhere in this city yet. The park is also great for families. My parents love to walk on the tracks around sunset whenever they have time and bring a picnic with them to enjoy afterwards. read more

This is a really nice park for birthday parties. There is a large gazebo you can reserve in advance or use on a first come first serve basis. The park is very clean and there are lots of trash cans which helps when there's a party. The playground is well kept as well. It's not as elaborate and it doesn't have a water feature like other newer parks but it has the essentials. This is a great place to have a BBQ or family events. Lots of parking too! read more

Went here last week when Vegas was having amazing weather! Let me tell you, I've been to a lot of parks since I have a little one... and this one is one of my favorites in town. For starters, you can tell it's a little older since it actually has a sandbox with sand! They may stray parents, but I have a boy that loves to play in dirt and rocks. Also, the playground is surrounded by tall trees, and grassy area, which makes nice for a picnic! There are little soft spots, right before the swings and upon entering the sandbox playground. There is also a little water area next to the playground area and swings. Passing by I did see a baseball field which was cool. Up keep was ok, it's a park. This was a nice hidden gem. read more
