Had two drinks ordered. Both were lattes, but one had vanilla. You couldn't tell the difference in taste. I think the barista didn't add the vanilla. As I sat and watched them being made, I noticed the shots were pulled, then left on the counter until the milk was steamed. However, there wasn't enough milk for both of them and more needed to be steamed. The shots were added and passed on to us. We paid and drove off...bad move. As we got onto the freeway we both took a sip...blah!!!!! They both tasted sour and not a hint in the vanilla latte. I love to support local businesses, but next time I will consider Starbucks! read more

This is my favorite place to get coffee whenever I'm visiting town. I really enjoy their blended drinks. It's a nice sweet treat for a hot California day but there's still the bold coffee taste which I appreciate as other places can sometimes drown out the coffee with so much sugar. I arrived maybe fifteen minutes before they closed for the day. There were no other independent coffee shops around, so I was really wanted a good cup of coffee. I asked if she had brewed coffee and she told me that she could "make an americano","which is the same thing". I asked if she could brew a cup of coffee and she said that she could make the americano but she's not going to make a new batch of coffee as they are closing soon. I then said I'd take an americano if she got charge me for the brewed coffee. She said she would charge me for the americano because that's what I ordered even though it would because they did not have any decaf or regular BREWED coffee, so I left. First of all let me start by saying that I used to love this coffee shack. I travel through Weed quite often, and when the weather is on the warm side, I'll stop by this place for a cold Snowy Mount Shasta Shake. Delicious! However, on this last visit I was unpleasantly surprised by some changes. First off they increased the price of the shake by a $1.50 and they took out the shots. Ordering a 20oz shake usually came with 4 shots. Well not anymore. Had to pay for 3 "extra" shots. Total price came out to $8! And to top it off the barista gave me a melted, coffee-smoothie. I'm not sure what I'm drinking: a slightly thick iced coffee, or melted ice cream. Look like this place is going to sh*t. I understand that the new Starbucks across the street is giving you competition, but this isn't the way to keep customers. R.I.P It's been real. read more

After a snowy, slushy mountain climb to make it northward on I-5, I needed a coffee to stay awake. Spotted this little drive-thru espresso shack and pulled in. Instead of my usual double-latte, I went with the admittedly super-sweet Mexican Mocha (but hey, it was Christmas Eve and I wasn't denying myself sweets). The kick of caffeine and sugar got me back on the road to my original destination of beautiful Scott Valley. Just had to make it over Forest Mountain's potentially snowy summit on Highway 3 to get to where I was going. I was glad I stopped for some great coffee. read more

Stopped here this last weekend on a long road trip to Oregon. Located right off the 5 , next to a gas station it was a nice place to fill up and get our caffeine on. It is a drive-up location but while we were filling up we took that "long" walk to the kiosk and got some drinks. I only do the "sugar-free" syrups and they had so many more than your average coffee shop especially Starcraps. I decided to have a cinnamon latte, my partner had a regular vanilla latte, both extra hot in big ol' 20oz cups. I was super stoked to have such a large cup option to keep extra awake on that drive as well as it was very hot to keep warm longer. My latte was good. I think the syrup itself was not great but as silly as it sounds I am not a huge cinnamon fan but wanted to try it anyways. The latte itself was good if that makes sense , I think the syrup was just not for me. I took a swig of my partners vanilla latte and it was very good. The lady at the booth was very nice and to have such a great variety of drinks was a pleasant surprise for a drive-up booth. Seem to have a few pastery items. They were open at 5:45 on a Thursday night when we were there, I just hope my timing will work that I can stop by on my way down again. As a bonus if your Cali city girl like me and don't know anything about how cold it can get in Orgeon , just leave the rest of your latte in the car overnight and you will have an iced lattee . Don't go here if you want a smoothie. They don't use actual fruit, but instead use syrup for the flavoring. The syrup gathers at the bottom. They also barely give you whip cream. Lastly, the young girl working their kept calling me "hun" consistently. Not appreciated. read more

After driving all night I wanted some quality coffee. As we were walking from Silvas to the gas station I couldn't resist and had to get some. I might have been slightly cranky from the long drive and when the lady opened the window and asked what I wanted all I could reply was "I don't know something warm and sweet" she said ok and asked what size then put a good sized medium cup in my hand. I think she called it a mocha something or other. It was exactly what I needed. Best part...it was under $5. I'm sure it was close to $2 something. What a great deal. We were grateful to find this place open at 6:30 on a Sunday morning. We refilled our travel mugs with a tasty dark roast brew. This place is located in the mist of a huge truck stop and it's a small drive thru/walk up coffee place. It was just down the street from my motel I was staying at and I walked over with my dog in the mornings. The first day I got there the two girls inside acted like they didn't see me for the longest time, I almost felt. The gal finally opened the window and took my order. She had no problem using the mug I had brought with me. The coffee was great. I also stopped once and got a smoothly also very good! read more

Convenient to the 5 but you'll find the typical watery americano "espresso" shot. The shot rushes out of the porta-filter in less than 10 sec making sure that very little of the coffee is extracted from the beans. Passing through weed California we were getting tired and needed some coffee, we didn't want anything fancy or any fizzy drinks so we wanted black coffee. Weed California is a strange place but we did happen to find a coffee shop called mountain espresso it was just a little drive through, so we just walked up to the window to order our coffee. The service was nice but none too friendly, one thing that I didn't personally enjoy was that the server had me put in the cream and sugar myself, not that that's very hard but I would rather of had her do that. In the end it's all about the coffee and the coffee was very good I'm currently enjoying this cup of coffee, though I'm not satisfied with the extremely generic cup that my coffee was served in. Itcould have been a little hotter too. Overall, if you happen to be in weed California and you need coffee go to the Mountain espresso, but if you can avoid weed California by all means do. read more

9 am Tuesday...gal with stringy blonde hair very rude. Didn't like me asking for 2% rather than 1/2 n 1/2 and to add 1/2 the sweetener to my drink...so she didn't. When I asked if she did she said ya and slammed the window in my face as I was standing at it. There was no greeting she just opened the window and stood there till I placed my order.
