Busy restaurant that appeared to have 2 waitstaff - one outdoor seating and the other for indoor. We sat inside and waited for 15 minutes before we were acknowledged and then had to request menus. We each ordered a beer (they brew their own) and they were outstanding! We each ordered the Reuben sandwich with the German potato salad. Sandwiches were huge and overfilled. Only issue was the corned beef was that it was not cut across the grain which made it very chewy. I told the waitress that it would have been a great sandwich if the corned beef had been cut correctly. She said she would share that with the cook. Loved the atmosphere, food and beer. My daughter and k met in Dunsmuir to celebrate my birthday together. It was the halfway point for us. There isn't much in Dunsmuir, so our choices of places to eat was limited. We settled on the brewery thinking it would have a variety of foods to choose from. It is a very modest place with some outdoor and indoor seating. We were greeted by our server who brought us menus and water pretty quickly. The menu was not super extensive. We settled on burgers. My daughter ordered the Wagyu burger and I ordered the special (Smokey burger). Our choices of sides were Mesquite BBQ Kettle Chips and German potatoes (chopped up potatoes mixed in Dijon mustard). We thought it was odd that they didn't ask us how we wanted our burgers cooked. It took longer than we expected to get our food considering it wasn't super busy. When the food did come out, we noticed that the burgers were big and looked pretty tasty!! The German potatoes were pretty flavorless and a little more al dente than my daughter liked. She didn't end up eating them at all. The chips were literally just BBQ chips. The burgers were actually really good. The bun was the highlight - crispy and buttery. The meat seemed to be just a cooked standard frozen patty. My daughter ordered avocado and after she had eaten almost half the burger she realized there wasn't any. Received a recommendation from our lodgings to dine here. Love there's a covered patio with ample seating for the dogs. Chatted with a couple of locals at the next table of all the amazing lakes to discovery nearby. We shared one of the specials of the day. pork ribs with a side of freshly baked sourdough, coleslaw and tortilla soup. Every single bit was delicious. Stopped in to Dunsmiur Brewery as we stayed overnight in town on our way north. This a friendly and local spot with outdoor seating and music! We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty everything was, especially their vegetarian burger, since the menu featured mostly non-veg options. Their chowder is lovely, rich and packed with clams. July 23, 2025 - Dunsmuir Whenever we're traveling through or staying near Dunsmuir, this restaurant is a must-stop for us. We always have our pup along, so we dine out on the patio. It's a small patio--maybe around 8 tables--but it's cozy and welcoming. I can't speak to the indoor seating since I've never been inside, but the outdoor experience has always been great. One thing to note: every time we've been here, there have only been one or two servers working. So if fast service is a priority for you, this might not be the best fit. That said, we're never in a rush and always enjoy the relaxed pace. On our last visit, we split the Frisco Burger (Wagyu Beef Patty on Grilled Sourdough with Burger Sauce, Pepper Jack Cheese, Tomato, & Grilled Onions) and a side Caesar salad. The meal was split into two equal portions for us by staff. I always really appreciate when staff take that extra time and care--it doesn't go unnoticed! What a nice little spot in the heart of Dunsmuir. Good beer, taps, friendly staff, beautiful outdoors, great food! The food alone makes this place well worth a visit‼ The staff were warm, friendly and thoughtful. Greek salad with Ceasar dressing was delicious ( they were out of romaine). Special pastrami sandwich was very good. Less good was wine list (settled for sweet rose after sending back cab) tap beers tasted great but they weren't cold enough. Service was great. Poor service today. We were a party of 11 and I realize that's a lot for this small restaurant. However, it took almost a half hour to get the first drinks and then about an hour later before the last plate was served to us. Most had finished our meals before the last of our order arrived... and only went we went to the kitchen and asked what happened to our food. We were told a computer problem dropped some orders. A waiter or waitress should be checking our table often to see how things were going. But despite arriving near 2:00 and only a few other guests, we felt abandoned. We won't be back. read more

We were staying one night at the Mossbrae across the street and needed dinner. Saw this place on yelp and walked over with our dog. I got the burger and my husband had the patty melt. The burger was good and he said the patty melt was phenomenal. we finished and paid our check but it was so nice on the patio that we got another round and enjoyed the weather for a while longer. There were clearly several locals/ regulars who had favorite menu items. The table next to us got the ribs and were raving to a friend of theirs who stopped by about how good the ribs are and how huge the portion was. The staff were all very nice, also. Came in on a Sunday during Memorial Day weekend and they were apparently very, very, very, very busy or severely under planned their food supply. Upon arriving for dinner there was plenty of seating and no one waiting, and since the weather was absolutely perfect we sat outside. The wait staff was pleasant even though they seemed flustered (from being extremely busy earlier maybe), and were apologetic about the food. They started off by saying, we're out of a lot of things so it's easier if I tell what we do have. I wasn't upset and I can totally understand. I was just surprised that they were out of basic items like chicken, burgers, and half of their side choices. So we ordered salads. Thankfully the salads were huge and the dressings we chose (Cesar and honey balsamic vinegarette) were delicious. Checked out Dunsmuir Brewery works and it's such a cool little local gem. They don't have a huge beer selection, but being such a small operation, I also wasn't expecting anything huge. I tried one of their lighter beers which hit the spot. After that, I had a cider (not theirs) and was also equally tasty. The waitstaff was very welcoming and even brought some of that precious Dunsmuir water for our pups. We also came back the next day, as we heard rave reviews about the clam chowder. It did not disappoint. Seating is mainly outdoors, but again, that's fine with us as we had our pups with us. Looking forward to heading back in the summer when I hear they get their merch shipment. This place is a solid 4. Cute from the outside, inside was okay. We chose to sit outside in their front patio. It was a beautiful day and our table had an umbrella. Our server, Trinity, was friendly and quick. She informed us of things they didn't have that day. Their beer selection wasn't too great but my hubby found one he liked. We tried the BLT with a side salad and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with a side salad. The BLT was very good using awesome bacon. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich had just the right amount of spicy.
