    Jalapeño bagel with cream cheese
    Heidi D.

Without many choices on a monday morning, we walked over to this coffee shop to start our day in Shasta. Place was bustling with locals and visitors. Cute spot, chairs/tables out front or under a covered patio, along with a few tables inside the compact cafe. Loved the coffee mugs on display for sale and was tempted by more than a few of them! There's nothing like the smell of coffee so I was ready! It's hard when you only have a first impression but service wasn't friendly. I'm on vacation and chipper and was met with what felt like, annoyance. Again, first impressions, might've been a hard morning, but that's all I have to go on. Ordered a jalapeno bagel with cream cheese and a black coffee. The coffee was fine, better than the hotel room option. :) The bagel was... ok. Pretty dense, not spicy at all, kind of an odd texture for a bagel. Didn't taste bad, good amount of cream cheese. Overall, if I were staying within walking distance, I'd probably return for a coffee but might go elsewhere for a morning food start.

    Meat lovers burrito

Stopped in for breakfast and ordered the meat lover's burrito and an iced Mexican mocha. The mocha was decent, but let's talk about that burrito. Sure, the place was packed and I waited about 30 minutes, but honestly? I'd wait another 30 without hesitation. They did not hold back on the meat. Every bite was loaded, and the flavors were on point. The homemade salsa brought it all together with just the right kick. I was full after just half, but couldn't stop myself from taking bites from the second half. Perfect stop before a hike or just a great way to kick off your morning in Shasta.

Cute little hole in the wall. We got a cinnamon roll (so light and perfect amount of sweetness, and the cream cheese frosting is top tier). We also split a breakfast burrito....the best I've ever had...filling. Great taste, and the salsa was perfection. He had an iced coffee which he loved. I got the Mexican no ha which wAs so hot and yummy. We love finding local spots on our travels. The employees were quick and nice. The place was clean and cozy

Meat lovers breakfast burrito and a Mexican Mocha was my order. Overall, very filling, salsa had a nice little kick, customer service was on point and they have pretty good coffee.

Love, love, love! I love everything about these people. Except for that everybody else has found out about them and it can get busy. The people behind the counter greet you. They're friendly. They seem to care. The coffee is good. The patio is super pleasant. The food is good. I will drive across town, past other coffee places, to go here.

    1/2 Turkey and cheddar sandwich

Loved the staff and ambiance. Food was okay. Ordered 1/2 a build your own turkey sandwich. It came with tortilla chips which were a little stale. The coffee and the salsa that came with the chips were good.

    Two coffees for here

Blended mocha didn't taste chocolatey or creamy at all. Chocolate chip cookie was way undercooked. Ranger cookie was ok.

Ridiculously overpriced and mediocre service and food. Bagels are not worth the price. Won't be back!

The restaurant was clean and busy, so good sign. Went here with my family while on vacation. I…read moreended up getting a breakfast bagel and holy crap was that thing amazing! I find myself measuring other bagels against this bagel and unless I do it myself, they all fail. Horribly. So, unless you want to ruin yourself for all other future bagels ,avoid this place. You have been warned.

Normally I prefer the real New York style bagels, you know, boiled and baked with a dense chew to…read morethem, but I needed to get some bagels for a work meeting and I didn't know of any real bagel shops in this area. I know Einstein Bagels are more fluffy like, but not as bad as those Costco bagels, sort of like bread donuts! These will do cause I'm here. This Einstein Bagel is located right off the 44 on the north side of the freeway on Dana Drive. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Inside looks all clean and nice, in a chain store kinda way. Service is friendly and it was easy to get a dozen bagels. I just pointed to the ones I wanted, no weird ones like jalapeno cheese or anything like that, just normal stuff like the everything bagel and onion and poppy seed and garlic. I got some spreads cause you can't just show up with bagels and nothing to put on them. I just wish there was a toaster at the meeting room. Ok, paid and outta here, easy in and out. The bagels tasted as expected, better than Costco at least. Everyone was happy,at least I brought them something! Maybe I'll just go with donuts next time ....
