We have had several bad experiences with this company. We live way out of town- granted we can't pick who PGE contracts with but this company is lacking in communication from the get go. They are incompetent and didn't even know what trees they were supposed to cut so just decided (I guess) to cut what they wanted. We have actually lodged a huge complaint with PGE and this company is not welcome on our property. They need to train their employees on being cordial and respectful to property owners. Also they really shouldn't accuse property owners of stealing their equipment- we had to video tape them to prove they had that exact equipment in their possession. They called later and said they really messed up yet they came up again to do some other shady BS and take trees that were felled months ago that did not belong to them. Mountain Enterprises working for PG&E came to our home said they would start cutting some trees down.On Lupin Lane in Sierra Springs.They Cut the branches of one of the 3 trees and left it on the ground said they would be back the next day. That was almost 3 weeks ago dried limbs on top of dried Pineneedles as we come into fire season.I had to move them out to the street because they refuse to do their job. read more

The tree cutting crew of two (wish I knew their names) came out three weeks ago and cut down all of the scheduled trees quickly and neatly piled them for retrieval. Today the retrieval crew (Scott and Yahir) came out and moved those piles to a staging area for the removal crew. I had cut out all of the firewood that I wanted from each of the "cuttings" piles and made quite a few substantial piles of 6' to 8' lengths. Without a request from me, Scott and Yahir took it upon themselves to move all of those piles of "cut lengths" closer to our house so that I wouldn't have to. This company contracts with PG&E. They came onto my property saying they needed to inspect the trees for a new power pole installation. Without talking with me again, they cut down three trees and left a giant mess in our yard. The PG&E crew that came to install the pole said that this company always leaves a mess in customers' yards. We complained to PG&E who said they would take care of the issue. After a few weeks we called them again, and they said that they the contractor talked to us and told arranged to clean up the mess, so our case was closed. If I could give a negative amount of stars I would. First I got a flyer from core stating they would be doing some trimming for pge for the power lines 3 weeks ago. I work out of town all week so I come home and 2 medium size oak trees have been cut down completely in my pasture where I have livestock by the way horses, cows, and goats with the only access in being a locked gate not with a pad lock but it's secured with chains and heavy screw together caribeaners. That upon my arrival was not even rescued or locked in anyway with absolutely no permission to go through nor was I even aware. The trees cut down were 10 feet from the easement at that and left a 8 foot stump for me to finish cutting down and of course round up all the rest that they hacked into 5 or 6 foot sections. So I called them to try to get a hold of somebody leave a message got a hold of nobody and no call back of course. I wake up next more to 2 guys back trimming more trees so i very kindly walk out and tell the 2 guys that im not blaming them but was it you guys that were here yesterday they say yes so i ask who told them to go into my pasture and open up my gates. Pablo their supervisor did so i get his number call and ask who gave him permission to go through my locked gates all he could do was say sorry and he will talk with the guys and call me back. So i tell the guys they are not allowed in my pasture without me knowing and do not open my gates without permission. About an hour later i hear cutting again so i walk out and they are in my pasture once again so I walk out and now the supervisor pablo is there and feeds me the same bs answer of sorry it wont happen again. I've now left 3-4 messages over the past week for Briana who's supposed to be the person im to talk to about this with no reply at all. I've contacted core and left 3 messages with no reply and I've called and spoke with pge which I've been told the case is being looked at and someone will call me back. So I guess im gonna be taking this to the BBB. read more

The workers park in the lot next to my house, which is city limits. They come and wake us up at 6am every morning, including saturdays. one night, the workers woke us up at 2AM. They even have mechanics show up after hours, and those mechanics blast music as if nobody is around. I hate being neighbors with this company. No respect for their surroundings. read more

This company was great to work with! They were contracted by PG&E to come remove some trees that were getting close to power lines on my property. First contact was from an supervisor named Daniel, he came out and looked over everything and brought me out to go over what the plan was. Everything sounded great. As discussed with Daniel, 2 days later 3 trucks showed up and a few hours later they were all done! I came out once complete because I assumed the worse and everything looked great! They cleaned up everything and even blew off my driveway! Super impressed! One of their employees hit my mailbox and drove away. I contacted them to let them know the mailbox was hit and the employee did not come to my door to let me know. I heard the noise and went to the window and saw them drive off with my mailbox sideways. The company was responsive. However the employee that hit my box showed up at my home unannounced and proceeded to argue with me about hitting the mailbox and that it wasn't already secure. Part two: An employee from this company was just caught robbing evacuated houses in a wildfire zone. The fact that the Contractors State Licensing Board hasn't pulled these guys' permit is... well... My poor butchered tree! Mountain Enterprises arranged to cut a tree on my property as a contractor for PG&E. Before I let the crew onto my property, I had an understanding with them that they would leave the tree looking like a tree. But I soon had regrets and a realization that all that matters to the crew is keeping the tree from falling on PG&E power lines, that they will cut the tree to whatever shape is necessary to achieve that end, and worst of all, that they will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to get access to the tree. Yes, that's better known as lying to your face. If you want to be left with a tree that still looks like a tree, hire a private contractor. read more

PG &E has contracted this company to do tree removal on properties in my area. This is the second time they cut down trees and left a mess behind for weeks. We cannot get a hold of anyone at the office as it just rings and then takes you back to the main menu where you push 0 and it starts all over again. We cannot get into our back field at all and my dad is 70 with health issues my moms disabled and I've never used a chainsaw in my life so there is a giant mess that has not been cleaned up. PG&E contracted with Mountain Enterprises to remove 3 large oak trees and 2 smaller pines within the PG&E easement. Gustov , and his crew, cut the trees down, and removed all the brush. Our neighbors, with wood burning stoves, came and took most of the wood. A few weeks later Chris, and his crew, cut some of the massive firewood remaining into more manageable pieces, and hauled the downed pines away. I personally had a great experience with Mountain Enterprises. They went above and beyond with removing my bad pine trees and it has made a huge impact in the best way for our property. They were very respectful and did a great job cleaning up, even raked!!!! I know some people have expressed bad experiences, but I think communication and understanding what needs to be done makes the process easier, even beneficial. A crew showed up yestetday apparently at the request of my neighbor. The crew is camping in my yard, I ask them to leave and the guy then asks if he can park his work truck and chipper in my driveway to grind debris. I said "are you kidding me"? He says OK, sorry. 7am today, they show up in my drive, blarring their wood chipper 50 feet from where we're sleeping halfway down my drive waking my wife who just completed a 12 hour shift as an ER nurse. I ask them wtf are you doing, and they blamed there superiors at the office who told them its OK. Meanwhile, as their pulling out, they get stuck in a snow bank and eventually free themselves and block my drive with snow boulders. I call their office, and the receptionist says she's going to email someone about it. REALLY! That was her solution. What a joke this company is. Don't hire them, unless you like the three stooges. They were hired by PG&E to trim and cut down trees that were too close to the PG&E lines. They came over the course of 5 months to cut down trees and trim trees. They did that but left ALL the large pine and oak trees and branches they cut down. The never came back and chipped them or took the trees away. I have 10+ LARGE pine trees all over my property, from my driveway, backyard, horse paddock and other areas. I have called them multiple times to come back out and take care of it, I even spoke to the General Supervisor and I have been ignored. My property has been like this for months. The trees and branches are not only in my way and an eye sore, but they are also a fire hazard. As a side note, I did call PG&E and complain/open a case but, surprise, I haven't heard back from them either! read more

Truck number F11-825 just removed a tree from across the street and proceeded to blow all the twigs and leaves onto our side of the street and yard. We had to yell at them to stop. Then the guy told us he'd rake it, which he did for 5 seconds until he thought we weren't looking and then they took off. We even heard him talk about how we had some pine needles on our porch anyway so it was no big deal to leave a big mess in our yard and where we park our car. One of the most underhanded companies to exist. They were driving in the opposite direction and one of their trucks dropped some big debris which hit my car. They kept driving. I filled a CHP report immediately. I've been trying to get ahold of a manager for 3 months and all I ever get is the receptionist who says someone will call me back. They never do. I've been trying to take this to small claims but courts have been closed due to COVID. I've gotten nowhere. I happened to meet one of their employees that said they are instructed by management to keep driving, never give any info, never admit fault and ignore any damage they cause. What creeps. I've also met many individuals that have had their property damaged by this company. Be careful if you are anywhere within 100 feet of any of their trucks or employees because they destroy people's property and never replace it. The best thing you can do if you are within 100 feet of any of their trucks or employees is take out your phone and start recording. Then get a lawyer and sue them after they destroy your property because they surely will. read more
