So, I'm an out of town visitor who spent nearly $300 in their store. I came home and like a man…read morewould, I miss-sized 2 of the 3 jackets that I purchased. I came back to LOS ANGELES; two of the jackets didn't fit at all. Not even close. I called, and asked for mercy. I told them and the manager that I am asking a favor for 2 jackets valuing $200 and whether I could return them in EXCHANGE ONLY, for the right size and that I would pay more for any jacket. I did not want a return I was willing to pay more and to pay for shipping and handling. I even offered to send the jackets to a friend if handling by mail was a problem. I would pay for all the shipping. I did not want to get money back, I would spend more. NO. She would not even get on the phone. What a blow to "Southern Hospitality", I will never step foot in such an asinine retailer ever again.

Hiking is not a cheap past time, not for the serious hiker. So it's pretty much a guarantee someone is going to drop some good cash when shopping for it. I got acknowledged when I walked in the store. That's it. I spent 20 minutes walking around. Looking at merchandise. Standing in front of wall displays that you can't possibly reach. And yet no offer of help. When I left the store, there wasn't even a good bye or have a nice day. I left and chose to spend my money at REI instead.

I had passed by this store several times driving around the square, and always wanted to check it…read moreout. It's "Mom and Pop" curb appeal spoke to me! I've had the pleasure of visiting twice now. They sell many great brands, and on both visits, had GREAT sales! I could kick myself for not buying a Kavu bag when it was marked down from $50.00 to $20.00! When I went back, they were all gone! The staff is incredibly friendly. I think I was asked twice on each visit if I needed help with anything. If you're looking for active wear or jackets/coats, you definitely need to check this place out. Again, especially because of their sales! (I almost don't want to post this because they may sell out of the jacket I want!) While they offer some shoes, their selection is fairly limited.

I've been to the other location multiple times and have bought quite a few items there- three north face sweaters, reef flip flops for my fiancé and some trucker hats. Last night we were browsing but did not buy anything. There were two cute bulldogs in the store my friend and I stopped to pet, and the guy working seemed nice enough to let us do so. A young girl came over and asked us if she could help us with anything, and I told her we were "just browsing." After a total of about 5 minutes we said, "thank you for letting us look around" and headed for the door so we could get to dinner. Before we left I asked the man if I could "quickly use the ladies room because I'm 7 months pregnant and peeing is like a new hobby." He looked at me with a cold straight face and said, "we do not have a bathroom here and we are closing." As we left, my friend told me she knew exactly where the bathroom was located in the store and we both agreed the man was extremely rude, short with me, and obviously aggravated we didn't buy anything. I understand he probably had to get to his Tinder date or something but as a woman who is 7 months pregnant, having to wait to pee until we drove to the restaurant was very uncomfortable. I was shocked by this mans demeanor and based on principle alone I will never shop at Bink's again. What a jerk.
