3.5-4 stars Have unknowingly passed by Mountain Meadows Golf Course (on the way to the Pomona Fairplex) for forever and never knew there was a golf course here. "Tucked" into the side of the road, that it not super noticeable unless you were looking for the entrance. My workplace had an event here last Friday and it was a nicer venue that I had imagined. I can certainly envision weddings being held in the event room and the ceremony on the patio right outside. Both the event room and the lawn outside was rectangular-shaped. Perfect. Some other golf course venues have irregularly shaped event rooms and they have not been pleasant experiences for either the guests or the staff - horrible views of the wedding party (L-shaped, walls, or columns), tight spaces (tables to tables, chairs back-to-back), even staff spilling drinks on guests because of the tight spaces. There were also TVs all around the event room. All looks great on the outside, but the restroom area would be better if they were remodeled. There's a sewage-type of damp smell. Not very elegant - also not very well-lit. However, I do like that the restrooms were "hidden" behind the main wall and had double entrances. The food was okay, nothing excellent but it was okay. There were a few things that we had to remind them about, but there usually was someone around that we could ask for or remind them. Overall, plenty of parking on a Friday morning, but I cannot imagine how it would be on a weekend as the parking lot is shared with golfers - which is a bit on the smaller end. read more

This is my local course but there are so many problem that's ruin the experience. Starting off the pace of play is horrible, last round I played took 6 hours because there were 2 groups that were wasted and would not let anyone play through, the marshal went the way of the group then came back to the club house shortly after and did nothing. 2nd round I played was today, I got paired with a group and we were moving fine but every hole we were the group ahead of us was barley teeing on and it would end up waiting 4 minutes just to barley start the hole, I ended up leaving after the 11th hole. The round started at 12:20 and by 3:30 I just called it quits. I understand it's a Saturday but it's still no excuse, I believe mountain meadows don't have any marshals. Also this every holes tee boxes are all uneven and messed up I'd rather tee off on a range mat then hit off those horrible tee boxes. I do enjoy the course design but other than that that's where it ends. read more

I went to a wedding reception here and it was disastrous. The patio and dining room did not accommodate the number of people there. Perhaps a more honest disclosure about the ability to accommodate a wedding of that size would have been called for. The tables were so close together the servers had a difficult time delivering food. The rectangular flat layout made it impossible to see the center of the venue and hence the bride and groom. The sound system was not present or not functioning and the speeches were not heard by anyone at my table. The bride and groom could not negotiate the tables so greeting them was not possible as was clearly planned. My vegetarian pasta was penne with tasteless tomato sauce and served cold. And that was after 4 bites of plain lettuce. The table decorations were beautiful and the florist should be congratulated. I hope the bride and groom were so happy they didn't notice. read more

We chose to have our wedding reception here because they do most things for you. From providing the set up, the champagne, the food (we chose the buffet), the cake, providing the tv screens, and even taking a few photos. The event planners were very helpful and thorough. Food was tasty, my guests complimented the salmon we had. Their coordination with Some Crust Bakery was delivered on time and it was delicious. We were able to go in as early as 6:30am to set up the room how we wanted it to be. I would recommend giving them an opportunity to be your venue for your events. Great golf course, excellent conditions with fast greens and challenging fairways. There is nice music being played around the driving range and bar. I give 3 stars because they don't have trash can in every hole, like I usually see in other courses, so "Players" just throw their trash any where" great opportunity for management. read more

This is one of my favorite courses in the Inland Empire for many different reasons. Starting off it's a beautiful course, never backed up, and well maintained. Secondly the staff is amazing. The manager was incredibly helpful and kind. My buddies and I got there and it started to rain. We had played until the 3rd hole and then it began to hail. We walked in and talked to someone in the office who said we would not be able to get a refund because we had already started. I waited to speak to the manager and he gave us a full refund instead of just our cart fee and was very understanding. This place is great. read more

There's something special about Mountain Meadows Golf Course. So much so, that every self-proclaimed "golfer" in the San Gabriel Valley migrates to the course on a daily basis. If you're looking for a course so inundated with hacks that you can finish a Dickens novel between shots, this is the course for you. If your golf game is on the verge of being "dangerous," this too may be right up your alley. Narrowly escaping death by errant tee shot is a skill compulsory to playing these hallowed grounds. Mountain Meadows is likely the best kept public course in the Pomona/La Verne area. Greens staff make sure to keep everything just that--green. In theory it's a much more enjoyable course than other local courses such as San Dimas Canyon and Marshall Canyon; however, you should still stay far, far away. Course management seems to be the issue at this enticing little course. They are insistent on pushing 5-somes off of the first tee. Pace of play averages well over 5 hours at any given time of day. With numerous school golf teams practicing every weekday, it's best to avoid coming here Monday-Friday. On second thought, maybe you should just stay away in general so that I can finish a round for once... As far as county run golf clubs go, this really is a fun track. No two holes are alike, and you'll be challenged to use every club in your bag. As a regular at Mountain Meadows I hate to see the course managed so poorly. Without fail, you'll receive a less than enthusiastic welcome at the pro shop, and a cart that will die before the third hole. Nevertheless, if you're okay with being hit into on every hole, I would suggest giving this track a shot (or 100+ shots if you're like most people here). read more

First time playing this course. Got thru 6 holes and called it quits. Course looks like it's almost been abandoned. Fairways are overgrown and clover fields in the rough are almost knee high. Greens are bumpy and have debris everywhere. Do they even have a grounds keeping crew..Nothing about this course is worth half the $60 we paid. The twosome paired with us even called it quits. Demanded a full refund and received it, luckily. Sure they get that a lot tho. Would HIGHLY NOT recommend playing here. It's not worth it. read more

Wanted to spend the New Year with a round of golf with my Son's. Booked a tee time, everything was fine till they said NO golf carts due to the rain the day before,Walking only. So I asked " why are the men riding on golf carts before us". The women said because they are in the Sunday men's group. That Just didn't make any sense. I'm upping my ratings to at least 3.5 almost 4. Played M.M. almost a year later this past weekend (last review was 9/14/2010) and found out that M.M. is a bit better now. There were no golf cart issues this past weekend and we actually teed off right on time or before our tee time of 1124am. The course was still a bit packed but there wasn't really anyone behind us to rush us (a good thing). Our group doesn't play slow and we play pretty fast (prior high school golf team members here). And we were actually able to finish the round this go around. The course was in pretty good shape. They do need to however clean up their golf range balls. When using the vending machines, the range balls were fairly new but clutter with dirt and grass. My fiancé and I were considering this venue for our wedding next year so we did a site tour. Unlike other venue site tours the coordinator that did our tour was extremely unprofessional and acted as if we were bother her. She was rushed and the entire time walked way in front of us and was on her iPad the entire time which was extremely rude. After touring the bridal suite, which by the way is located inside the woman's bathroom just past the stalls, we sat down to go over numbers. We asked if they'd be willing to be flexible on their rates and after the coordinator asked her boss they said no they can't work with us. My fiancé and I were shocked that they wouldn't even entertain a discussion! I work in the industry and would never ever treat a potential client like they treated us. Good news is we found a much better venue on the day we were looking for and they were willing to be flexible with our budget. My advice would be to avoid this venue at all cost! read more

The Patio Is Spacious. The Bistro Lights & Twinkle Lights, Amazing. The Staff Was Great. Everyone is Super Nice & Helpful. My Guests Said The Food & Appetizers Were Good. One Inconvenience: Bridal Suite Location. I Never Stepped Foot Inside Bridal Suite The Day Of My Wedding. I Took Over The Groom Suite Because It Was More Convenient. The Bad: The Day Of My Wedding, While I Was Getting My Hair/Make-Up Done, I Get a Phone Call From The Event Sales Manager, Alyssa, That There Was An Error On Their Part & They Forgot To Charge Us For All The Tri-Tip Meals. Now We Had To Pay More Money & Complete The Payment Before The Ceremony. This Error Was Total BS & It Should Of Been Caught Sooner, Not While I Was Getting Ready For My Big Day. Great bang for your buck with decent amenities the course overall had a fun layout and for the cost maintained well, I would recommend!

I would give a 5 star review for the condition of the course, however the course plays sooooooo slow a 4 hour game turned into a 5 hour game. The reason why is because people think they can walk this very hilly course in a timely manner. They can't! There ether needs to be a marshal on the course moving people along or charge one price to play which includes a cart. It was so frustrating and as you know it completely messes up your game. We waited on all the par 3 holes at least 15-18 min just to tee off. That's ridiculous! I'm not sure I will play this course again because the people I was playing with said this is the norm for this course. Not cool! read more

I got married here last year, Nov 2016. (Since then I have literally been to 2 weddings/showers/bachlorette/ etc every month since!) I'm only finally doing this because I've been so busy. WONDERFUL! Went to a bridal show at Mountain Meadows and basically fell in love. Booked an appointment and booked our date! Gaby and Michelle were VERY thorough and thought of details that I hadn't thought of! The menu tasting was great! Who would have thought about doing 3 different compound butters for dinner? I never would have. I haven't been to any other weddings where there was more than just plain butter on the tables. It's the little details, right? Day of, everything was set and ready to go. There was cold water in the changing room for us. We were allowed to go out on the golf course to take photos. The ceremony was a blur but wonderful. The food at the reception was just as good as it was at the tasting. They totally accommodated our ring bearer with a severe nut allergy and my dad who is on a fairly strict renal diet. Needless to say, I still have a ring bearer! We've been at other events where his parents have to bring a whole meal for him because a nut-free meal cannot be guaranteed. 2 meals, out of 110 were specialty and were done with perfection. My husband and I had a sweetheart table and our server was awesome. She got us food immediately and checked on us a LOT. The small amount of dinner we were able to eat before dancing was the last I had till midnight. It was great! We chose a beef and chicken option. Both were fantastic, as well as the mashed potatoes. We chose a Sunday evening for the wedding, so people did leave early cuz they had to work the next day. Well, the servers are stuck there till we're done, so we had a dance party! Myself and my husband, all the groomsmen and their wives/gfs, and the servers. It was epic to say the least! If I was to do it over, I'd still choose Mountain Meadows. (Now, a year later, our friends and family still say how good the food was, how great the music was (Ultimate Entertainment was amazing), and how much fun they had.) Ultimate Entertainment did a FANTASTIC job on the music, photo booth, sweet heart table and day-of-coordinator. We had some weird choices for music and Ultimate Entertainment totally delivered. The photo booth was a huge hit and I would not have survived without Josie, who was my coordinator. Some Crust Bakery did our beautiful cake. read more

We just had our wedding ceremony June 25, 2022 and oh my gosh where do I begin. We've had problems with this venue since the beginning. The event coordinator said we could have a food truck and we signed a contract allowing this about 1.5 year before our wedding and 6 months before the actual wedding date, this venue told us they are in the midst of a law suit and we can't have any live music at this venue. So last minute, we had to find a new venue for our wedding reception but decided to do our ceremony there but what a mistake. On the day of the ceremony we had so many problems with this venue. When they said the bridal suite would have a place to get ready, I didn't realize it would be a public place where the country club members would come to the space as well. I was naked getting dressed into my wedding gown when a random stranger walked into our bridal suite getting ready. So unprofessional and was not honest with us from the get go. Tried Booking a Reservation online to get there Special online Price. However when I try it through there own website, It says tee time is no longer available. Then I tried GolfNow, And it says unable to process. So I called Golfnow, They called the golf course and was told the time slot is open, But that I had to call in. So I called and YES it was available, But I had to pay the Normal price and that I could not pay the online price because I dint do it online. I told them I not only did I try, But that Golf Now also tried and an error kept coming up. I asked them to please help me, They said Sorry we cannot you will need to pay the higher Price. Looks like the Site just draws you in just to get you to call in, Then you end up paying more then the online price. Not Good so beware....... read more

Now why did I wait so long to learn how to golf? Thought it wasn't that hard to do. Yes, I've learned that it is REALLY hard and takes a toll on your body. I should've stretched before I played. Don't laugh. I played 2 holes!! For someone new to the sport, it was rough. BUT I made it into the hole after many, many strokes. And thankfully, I got to try my hand at golf for the first time at Mountain Meadows. I enjoyed all of it! It was so serene. So calming while being out on the course. My husband played while I sat in the cart and took in the beautiful scenery and the cool air. So much shade everywhere along the cart pathways. And then there's the "beer" cart! No one told me beers can come to me!! Loved that!! Ok. When I found out about this, I can see why spouses sneak away to golf. Open space, the ball and you, and a beer or whatever drink you like waiting for you, goodness... Mountain Meadows has 9 holes one way and 9 the other way. So halfway, you're back at the clubhouse to eat lunch or do whatever you need to do before finishing the rest of the course. We got a to-go lunch and ate on the course. Service- excellent! Everyone was so nice! Polite. Helpful. The Marshall was super friendly and gave us good tips. Definitely going back! Thank goodness this place is a short drive away! read more

*wedding review* -- I had my spring wedding at Mountain Meadows in April '14 and it was such a positive experience. I ended up having to plan my own wedding so the package deal was perfect and affordable. Tiffany and Elizabeth were so helpful throughout the whole process. They responded to all my emails, phone calls and helped me plan out the details to put our personal touches. On my wedding day the gazebo ceremony and reception venue looked beautiful (better than I had hoped)! I received so many complements on the location and food. I had a wedding of about 200 people and the venue fit everyone perfectly. The banquet staff were attentive, friendly and able to help solve issues quickly. All the guests (especially my husband & I) had a great time. read more

Flash back to 2008. As I was addressing the ball on the 4th tee, I hear a loud voice and turn to see a young course employee on the phone arguing, cursing, and walking right towards my tee box. I watch him and then rhetorically ask "Do you work here?", at which point he notices me and yells "What the f*^% are you looking at?!" I proceed to hit a low hook (if you've played here before, you know that is a bad shot to hit on this hole) and then hear the guy yell "See?! You just f*$&ing missed it anyways?!" as he walked off towards the clubhouse. This is no joke. It was the most preposterous thing I've ever seen on a course. If you were there, you'd swear you were on candid camera. At the turn, I see the same employee in the diner, ask someone else for his name, and then report him to the manager in the pro shop. He said he was not surprised because they had been having similar issues with the young man (seriously? why is he still working there then?"). But he gave me his contact info. in order to receive a free round for myself and my playing partner. It wasn't easy to set up, but I finally did get that free round. Fast forward to last weekend. A few of us book an 8:20am time since the other two are coming from Rancho Cucamonga. We get there and see seven carts waiting on the first tee. Apparently there was a lightning delay earlier and things got delayed. Ok, I get that; nothing you can do about that. My issue with this course is that there is NO COURSE MARSHAL. Fivesomes fall multiple holes behind and there is nobody there to speed them up. We waited on every hole that day except for the 18th. One of the other two guys left after 9 holes despite being on pace for a personal best because we were already 4 hours past our original tee time. I should mention that the pro shop gave us free cart rentals to make up for the wait. That and the free round from 2008 are the only reason why I gave a 2nd star. But c'mon, that shouldn't even be necessary if you train customer service adequately and have a course marshal or two. read more

I had a baby shower for 40 in the beautiful event room at Mountain Meadows! They accommodated every request including serving the buffet line for safety. Andrew was amazing in gently handling every detail and the two woman who served went above and beyond! Alyssa and Haley handled the reservation well and it was carried out beautifully yesterday amidst the gorgeous snow capped mountains in the background. Thank you all! I've come to this location many times and have never been disappointed. It's a pretty good course that definitely has its challenges from time to time. Very hilly so your never hitting on level ground so be prepared for that. A lot of great views and the course is very well maintained. They have a full bar so that's always a plus, I would definitely recommend this location read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Been too various golf course in San Gabriel Valley and this is by fair the worst. Backed up hours, rude club house, bad Marshall's, and absolutely no social distancing( as seen in the pictures). Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money too keep yourself/ friends and family safe somewhere else. When I asked about social distancing or sanitation I was basically laughed at by the golf shop. read more

This is a Great County course in Pomona. Nice Bar & Dining Area, Food reasonably priced, but very difficult to walk. I was surprised how green they maintain the course. Greens are the best around. I was lucky, I played super early at 5:45 am.. Mike & Jorge at LA County and American Golf Corp has this place dialed in.. Unfortunately, No yardage marks on sprinklers heads. Gazebo and outside seating looks great for weddings or receptions. read more
