I celebrated my wedding on August 17, 2018 Gabby and Rosana helped me out from start to finish! Im a very DIY do it myself kinda bride, so when I found out Mountain Meadows helped with a bit of the work load but also let me create the wedding of my dreams I was all about it! Booking: I took a tour with Gabby who showed my the beautiful Ceremony Site (I was so happy it wasn't a gazebo) and that day they were also prepping for a wedding so that truly helped me envision what the place looked like all dressed up. The prices were great, close to home, and everything is remodeled and re-done. I mean they even have a grooms room! There were a ton of incentives on booking the same day as our tour and it was jus the icing on the cake because when I saw those beautiful chandeliers and twinkle light swags in the reception venue I was SOLD!!! Booking was very easy and they give you a folder to go home with to choose out what package you wanted including preferred vendors list, and extras. Tasting: We had an opportunity for a food tasting which I took my husband and brother in law and they also had some their preferred vendors there with donut stands, Photo Booth stands, decorators, florist, etc. which was a very nice touch. I was so terrified after booking that the food was be subpar but boy was I wrong, the food was phenomenal we ended up going with the lemon chicken, mashed potatoes, and seasonal veggies. They also had an array of bread and even different types of butter. This tasting had make me not only more excited about the big day but more confident in my choice for this venue as well. Wedding Rehearsal: I had sooooo many people come for my wedding rehearsal and Rosana handed it with such grace. She not only allowed us to set up they venue a day early but also coordinated entrances of everyone and even helped my DJ to know what song to play and when. They rehearsal went so smooth it only took 30 minutes to run through it 3 times with 20 people walking down the isle. Plus it was such a nice touch that they provided water and ice to my guest because it was quite hot during the rehearsal. After the practicing we set up the reception with my my extra goodies and they ran though my package once more at the office to ensure that everything went perfectly. Day of Wedding: Gabby and Rosana were there though the day and they were both so invaluable! I thought it was so cute they dresses to match the colors of my wedding. They also insured that my husband and I would not run into each other before the ceremony, also making sure we were on schedule for our timeline I had created. Any last minute detail or thing I had forgotten Gaby and Rosana were on top of it. After the ceremony Rosana took us and our photographers & videographers on the golf cart around the course to take some stunning photographs helping in any way she could to fluffing my dress, my hair, and even help throw my veil for shoes drafting veil pictures. All around my right hand women. After cocktail hour and the photos Gabby and Rosana had to go home, as you can imagine I was really sad but they insured my the manager would be taking care of me and anything I needed. I feel so embraced that I don't remember his name but he made the transition from my right hand ladies very smoothly, making sure my husband and I ate, that we had drinks, our guest were full and happy. Came for a wedding. It's an absolutely beautiful location, especially with the hills in the background, perfect backdrop for a wedding. As outdoor weddings go, it was nice that there were some cool breezes later in the day. The golf course wasn't too crowded and the patio area where the cocktail hour was staged, was nice. I did wish there were some benches or something for older guests to sit at and maybe some outdoor fans. I'm not sure if the wait staff was hired from an outside company or part of the club staff, but they did a great job. Very professional, quick and attentive to the guest. read more

Staff was cool and joking with us as we checked in, nice vibe from the old school golfers. I enjoy a place where the pro shop staff has plenty of smiles and positive attitude. Our T-time was at 7:08 AM on a Friday and it was not that busy. I had my crew, coworkers, with me as we enjoyed a day off from work at the greens. We finished our round of golf around 11:30 AM. We moved quickly because we didn't have anyone in front of us. No one playing behind to add pressure, this was a good round of golf. The course is well maintained and challenging with plenty of hills. Bring extra balls because you will lose some, I lost 3. On some holes you will have a perfect view of the Pomona Fairgrounds. It probably looks cool when the LA County Fair is visiting. The price is right, $39 on a Friday morning with golf cart. My crew and I enjoyed this golf course and everyone was happy with the experience. read more

"Mountain" alright. The only time you really feel like you are standing even is at the tee boxes. About 80% of my shots today was either standing down a slop, up a hill, slanted left, etc. My weight was never evenly distributed throughout my body and into my feet. For you golfers who hate to hit on hills, be prepared because it does suck. I hardly recall ever being leveled even when I was in the fairways. Most of the greens were pretty average except a few that had some tricky slopes and it was a bit challenging to read the lie. For the most part, the course is well maintained. There are some holes where you have to play it safe and stay in the middle as much as you can. Too much left or right means rattlesnake country. If you're not a pro, you may want to bring extra golf balls. A few holes you won't even see the green because you only see the top of the hill. From there the green can either be a dog left or right or just downwards. You may want to station a cart at the peak of the hill if you're group is still hitting because I guarantee you that the guys at the tee box won't know if you're there because they can't see you if you're over the peak and down the slope. The back 9 holes is much challenging because now you're further in the mountains. Even the par 3 seems harder. I believe it was the first par 3 of the back hole where the marker said 213. Using my handy range finder, we read 238 to the white pin. For some people, they can use their driver! However, too much right and you fall off the mountain. Be aware, there's not enough distance markers on this course like red, white, blue. I only saw the black and white stakes on the course. It's a good thing I carry my range finder with me or I would be quite annoyed. We never saw a Marshal drive around to check up on the players. Also there was never a drink girl driving by either. At least there are adequate restrooms throughout. The carts do not have gps and the only time you can grab food or drinks while on the course is after the 9th hole at the clubhouse. They allow five-some here so expect your 18 holes experience to average around 5 and a half hours minimum. Mountain Meadows can actually be quite challenging and if you decide to walk this course, it may be a uber long day. There is a driving range here and the golf course is located right next to the Pomona Fairgrounds. This is the fourth time in a row I've played here and the golf carts weren't charged at all. Going up any hill I would hit a top speed of about 2 MPH. Finally this last time the cart died and I called the pro shop to request another cart be brought out. Nobody ever came and I had to finish the last 8 holes walking. Just don't even bother with this course. Very slow rate of play and bad conditions on top of all this. read more

Miguel: Manager and Cook in the club-house cafe makes the best damn Phili-Cheese Steak/Chili Cheese Fries Combos! Heart attack? Yes, but a great combo to have before a cold day of golf lessons. Miguel sautees a good amount of red & green chilies with the steak and onions and packs all of that in a nice sized sandwich roll. And, his chili cheese fries are made with his spicy fries. MMM! SO DAMN GOOD! This is not on the cafe's regular menu, so always ask him,"... what good today?" and he usually has some special going on. Try his fish and chips! Played here Wednesday 6/9/2021. Overall course conditions are excellent with great fairways and very heavy rough. Greens very smooth and fast. Please fix ball marks on the greens!!! no one seems to do so. Even if it's not your mark take a few seconds to repair ! it takes 10 seconds to do so . Tee boxes are in bad shape, uneven and patchy. There was some patchy fairway mud....not marked as ground under repair. Lunch after was great and Rosa was super as our server. Great sense of humor. Recently visited the golf course and attended a wedding there. My sister got married here over ten years ago and it is great to see the changes and additions they made. The bar service was great. The outside patio was set up nicely with tables placed around for your beverage and a nice place for conversation with other guests. The appetizers cheese and fruit table was delicious. Very generous amount was put out. The servers were very nice and courteous , I love it when they smile. The bartender was very professional and well spoken. i have played this course more than a dozen times within the past 2 years and i have to admit that they are one of the best public courses in LA count. so i guess this review is way overdue. what i meant by best is overall they do pretty good job on maintaining the course, pace of play is quite good in the weekend morning as i have always played on prime time, layout is one of the funnest (they have a lot of elevation changes throughout the course), challenging holes and stuff, price is very reasonable ($62 for weekend morning, used to be $55 last year) i dont see myself not coming back again in near future. see you soon Mountain Meadows. read more

" Nice Wedding Venue " My wife and I went to the Mountain Meadows Golf Course to enjoy a family wedding last week. The golf course outside wedding area was very pretty. Just a short walk away from there was a very nice outdoor patio and bar area, where we enjoyed some drinks and hors d'œuvres. We then went inside a very nicely decorated and large banquet room, where we enjoyed a musical band while we ate a nice buffet dinner. Course is in good condition and greens are in good shape and roll fast and true. I played here yesterday and I would recommend to stay away from this course on weekends as they overbook the ish out of this course. Took us nearly 6 hours to finish the round. They let a lot of the perimeter rough grow out so if your ball goes in there, good luck finding it. When we order food at the turn, it always takes a long time to pay and get our stuff (not that we are in a hurry due to slow play). read more

Such a beautiful venue was married here 10-29-16 (little late I know lol)and had so many compliments from my wedding guest saying how amazingly beautiful it was! Gaby and Michelle were nice and friendly. We had the Ultimate Dj and Iris flowers and they were beyond amazing! Ray and Angie from ultimate were so much help & their work is amazing LOVE them seriously 5stars!! And Ricardo from Iris was so nice and did a beautiful job with my flowers! Highly recommend both of them! So back to the venue had a few hiccups at the wedding they didn't seem to calculate the wedding food correctly and I had about five guys missing their food that was a little aggravating also the woman's bathroom air-conditioner didn't seem to work and was smelly! We got married at Mountain Meadows on March 24, 2019 @5pm. I started to look for venues right around January 2018. We got engaged on September 2, 2017. Me being the bride to be, started to scout venues, location and pricing as soon as we got back from our vacation in Hawaii. Funny, I had told my fiance at the time, lets take time and not dive in too quickly, lets enjoy this.. well, I did not do that and let my excitement get to planning. I started to look for venues towards the end of September out of curiosity. Started to fill our inquiry forms and be in touch with several venues. Visited about 3 or 4 that I was serious about. I was mainly looking for all inclusive to semi inclusive venues. To me, it made it more easy and less stressful. I did not want to think of putting this event from scratch, so having foundation to me was important. Once I came across Mountain Meadows, they reached out to me right away and sent me some info. I quickly began my math and adding things up - mind you, not really know how things worked. but nonetheless, I began calculating cost, tiers and all the fun stuff. Once I thought I had calculated things, I let Victor know about this venue. We took about a week or so to call and schedule a viewing. Finally made it to the 1st viewing and we loved the place. We sat down in the office with Gabby and discussed things further, talked about potential dates/days, packages, vendors, viewed their photos, etc. In early 2018, we finally pulled the plug and decided to sign with Mountain Meadows before our date was taken. From there, we went to a wedding show and food tasting. The entire year and few months before our actual wedding date were nothing but pleasant. I felt like we were annoying at times, quite honestly, we had many, many questions. Both Victor and I also understood things differently, I would think that Gabby meant something and Victor thought someone completely different, so we would email with Gabby so much and she always responded back within good time frames. We also called a lot and started to speak with Rosana and ask her questions. During this ordeal, I also showed up unannounced several times. I would make appointments to see them for such day/time and showed up so early, and they always had a smile, treated me warmly and attended me. Once we did the food tasting and saw the wedding show, around November of 2018, we had to fill out a detail form. This was basically how you decide what you want.. ceremony chair set up, food selection, linen & napkin color, who your vendors are, I mean, this sheet went over all of your details. When I saw that sheet, it gave me anxiety, so I reach out to Mountain Meadows and ask if they would break that sheet down for me. To my surprise, Rosana stated she would be happy to have us come in and fill it out together, which I was so glad because I did not understand many of the things. Over all, our experience with everyone at Mountain Meadows was beyond pleasant. I am cutting this review short bc there is a word limit, I had to cut out so much :( and I was not even half way. I highly recommend having your event here. The ladies and everyone else involved on your day, will really be there to cater to all of your needs. The venue is gorgeous and reasonably priced. Also, the food was amazing. I am really not just saying this because my wedding was hosted here, everything was truly amazing and I would 100% recommend future couples or anyone with an even to MMGC. We appreciated Gabby & Rosana so much for having helped us with this amazing journey. Liked the course but the greens were punched and very sandy. Plus we were not given notification of the greens being punched at check in. Not worth the $55 green fees.. one more thing. I'm a senior and I think it's not fair that these courses in LA county charge these high fees unless you have a LA county card.. read more

The gentlemen who are the Starters, the young man at the cashier, and the chef are all nice group of people. Make us feel welcomed there every time. Some of the greens have too much slope where you can four putt from 25 feet, but otherwise very good condition. Fairways are good enough. Bunkers are great condition. Challenging course, can't ever break 85 there. read more

One of the best municipal courses that we've played. It's a hidden gem since it took us a while to find and admire this course. Other courses we're normally frequenting for perspective: Diamond Bar, Industry Hills (Babe course more often than Ike), & San Dimas. It's in good shape as far as fairways and greens (dry but what can you expect at this time of year?) and well taken care of. Bathrooms are clean on the course. Always a plus! Also the food in the club house is very good for what I consider pub food. Tuna melt is my jam. Pace is usually pretty solid, every once in a while I'll see a fivesome and shake my head in disbelief. Let me start by saying that the course by itself is a four, but the overcrowding, bad management, and crappy employees are worth a two, so this averages out to a three. I've played this course, on and off, for at least a decade. The course is usually in great condition. Lots of hills and elevation shots, with a few spectacular views of the surrounding valley and the Pomona speedway/fairgrounds. Some of these holes can be really fun. However, there is a downside to playing here. The course is managed with an eye solely on profit. After they get your green fees, they can care less about you. They consistently overbook the tee times, and I have never seen so many five/sixsomes in my life! For hackers who rarely play, it may not be a big deal to have a six hour round, but for me it is unbearable to wait, wait, and wait at each and every tee. Finally, the employees in the clubhouse and on the course are lazy and aloof. I too have had trouble with my cart running out of power on more than one occasion, and by the time they respond (if at all) the round is nearly over. If you want a decent course in the area with many of the same attributes, but a professional Starter and staff, check out San Dimas Canyon. read more

Mountain Meadows is the type of course that offers a wide variety of holes for the everyday golfer and for the weekend golfer. It's known for its sloping hills and side hill lies. SERVICE: Never had a problem with the pro shop staff. PRACTICE FACILITIES: They have a fairly large driving range and it's a bonus because you hit off grass. GOLF COURSE: Tee boxes: decent, can't complain. Fairways: decent, can't complain. They just have some slopes and side hill lies, so be weary when hitting your shots of how your ball is going to take off. Bunkers: decent, not super hard or super soft. Greens: usually roll well. They do get bumpy in the afternoon after they go through a lot of foot traffic, but overall not too bad. Scenery: nice views. PACE OF PLAY: We usually play on the weekends, about a late morning tee time, and it takes from anywhere between 5 to 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. YELPER TIPS: -To help your fellow golfers out, please play from the correct colored tees. Leave your egos at the door and play the correct tees that apply to your skill level. If golfers played from the correct colored tees, the pace of play could be much improved and everyone could benefit from it. -Fix your divots; on the tee boxes, fairways, and on the greens! -If you want a good workout, walk and carry your bag! OVERALL: -The layout is suitable for average to above average golfers. There are some really standard and easy holes, whereas some other holes offer quite an intimidating and challenging view (such as this par 3 on the back 9). -As stated above, the course is usually in average to above average shape. -I will most definitely come back in the future. As any golfer knows, the day after Christmas is a prime time to go golfing. With that said, my friends and I arrived at Mountain Meadows late (in terms of golfer's time) at around 11:30AM. Of course, the tee times were completely full by then (like at all the other public courses on this particular day). We decided to get our names on the list and wait it out anyways. On a busy day like this, one would think the Pro Shop staff would be overwhelmed and somewhat on edge (like the staff members at the other public courses we called on this particular day), but surprisingly, the two guys working the shop were cheerful and happy to help. My pals and I knew we wouldn't be teeing off at least until 1:30PM (if at all on this particular day), so we decided to take a few cuts at the range. Due to the large crowd, the Pro Shop dude gave us a free bucket of balls. Free is good. The range is set on the grass so you're not hitting off of those turf mats. Not hitting off of turf mats is also good. After practicing for a bit, we hit the green. They have two practice greens: one for chipping and one for putting. That's pretty good. One thing I did notice is the lack of golf carts available. That's not good, but doesn't affect me one way or the other. I planned on walking the course because I'm young and have legs, plus golf isn't the most physically strenuous sport, so walking was actually a good idea (sort of until I noticed how mountainous the course was). Besides, after taking a look into the cart garage and seeing it completely bare, I'm sure I didn't have much of a choice anyways. Apparently, there were people waiting for carts to come back. But, this is all understandable after seeing a sign that said, "Free carts for replays". That's a pretty nice deal. After some time, we finally got our name called. Well, not "called", but more like, the Pro Shop guy happened to walk by and ask us if we were waiting for a tee time. We said yes, so he directed us back into the shop where we asked him a few questions as far as how much we can finish out of the 18 at the time we start. He said, the chances are, we might get through about 14 holes. Whatever. No big deal, so we said, okay and began to pay. The shop guy told us he'll just charge us for Junior's green fees since it was late and we were patient about the whole wait time. Wow! So, we paid $13 each for a round of 18! That's really good! Unfortunately, we only managed to get through 10 holes before it got dark (which we kind of expected on this particular day). A place called Mountain Meadows should consist of a lot of mountains and meadows, of which it does. I walked the course and after a lot of ups and downs, I came to realize that I should have rented a hand cart... But, it was a nice walk on a gorgeous day. No complaints here. The course was actually pretty difficult (coming from someone who golfs every so often, as opposed to every weekend). The fairways were rather narrow, which were tough, but the lie was very nice and well kept. Most of the holes came with a pair of bunkers hittable from the tee, making driving that much more harder. The greens were very well kept and much faster than what I'm used to hitting on. Some greens were multi-leveled greens, slopping at a pretty gnarly angles. All in all, the course is certainly more difficult than most of the Los Angeles public courses due to the various terrain levels, narrow fairways, and faster greens. I'm looking for redemption (after a not-so-great score on this particular day) and will be back here again sometime soon. And a hand cart will certainly be rented this time. read more

You know, this track is what it is. I have been playing here for decades. Used to belong to the Men's Club here which is a good group of guy's. The problems here are very typical with most public links courses in So Cal. They really do not care too much about Pace of Play because people continue to line up for tee times. You will find the norm is 5-somes. I don't have a huge problem with them in general as it is NOT the # of players, it is the pace at which they play folks. However, in general, this track seems to attract the slower variety of golfer, so go in and expect a 5 1/2 hour round. Anything less and you are LUCKY, regardless of when you tee off. Dawn Patrol is still gonna take you a while to get around. Mid Morning Tee times are gonna be 6 hours. So know it, deal with it or go play elsewhere. Course is in pretty good shape. It normally is though from Tee to Fairway. Their greens get a little bumpy from time to time. This is not always a problem of the course but I find many more times is the result of golfers who do not care enough to bend their big behinds over and repair a darn ball mark. Anyway, they were a little bumpy but rolled ok. layout for above average golfers will give you enough bite to enjoy the test. Average golfers can get around here without too much trouble but there are some difficult scoring holes. read more

We visited the bar here at the golf course after a Company function on 11/30/2018 - the atmosphere is great (the AC was weak so we had to ask a few times to turn it back on) the views are really nice too. My main complaint is the bar tab and how each drink was not listed on the receipt. I feel the bartender did not calculate correctly on several orders. Itemized receipts would make it a lot easier as the same amount/type of drinks were charged differently by the same bartender (and not due to happy hour). read more

Played in our companys 2nd Annual Labor Day Invitational here yesterday. It was my first day off in a couple weeks. I thought Id be tired as hell and play horrible, but I surprised myself. I was to play in the 2nd group going out, but a last minute change put me in the 1st group with all the bosses, I was nervous. Word around the cooler in past days was that my boss was a player. He played at Ohio St from what I heard. A lot of trash talking before we started... At the end of the day I had shot 4 over 76 and my boss, 83. Had never played with the boss before and I was surprised at his temper. Threw his clubs a couple times and dropped the f bomb over and over when he didnt meet his own expectations. I hope to still be employed when he gets here today. As for the course; hilly and not so long from the white tees. Great views of the Fairplex and that little valley as you get to the backside. The greens are in great shape. They roll well and are receptive to any kind of approach shots (ie; spin, check and bounce) The restaurant served up some good sandwiches and theres a full bar. The practice range is decent and the putting green is in good shape. 42 bucks to ride this ride on the holiday - not a bad price to pay to kick your bosses ass. read more

I've been going to Glen Oaks in Glendora and then realized that Mountain Meadows Golf Course is two miles closer, beautiful 18 hole course, has a less expensive driving range, friendly staff, a golf shop, and a nice restaurant. The Meadows Bar & Grill. They've done a huge renovation that you will love. If you just want to hit some balls, grab a beer, or have some dinner, you will be in for a nice treat.
