Hello?! Went in there after the livestock auction hungry for some delicious pizza. Stood at the counter for 15 minutes and no one could even take my order. Made eye contact with THREE different people working and NO ONE WOULD HELP ME. Disappointed we walked across the parking lot to Cancun Mexican restaurant. On July 19 2025 (Saturday), we ordered for delivery and they quoted us 90 minutes. Once 90 minutes have passed we called multiple times just for status update since it was near 9:30pm (closing time). After not getting any response I drove to the restaurant personally mind you it's a few minutes before closing. upon arrival the open sign was turned off and the door was locked. I see the person in charge on the counter. I knock and called, I can hear the phone ringing but shift lead just ignoring it until he finally budges open the door with an attitude. I asked that we ordered for delivery for 90 minutes ago. He tells me that driver shoud be on his way but was late because he had other stops (which I understand). I said ok thank u and he slammed the door. Well Im sorry that you felt frustrated but if you would've answered your phone when we called 15-20 minutes prior just to get a status update I wouldn't had to drive there myself to get answers. We did eventually received our pizza, we tipped the driver an additional $20 because he seemed like he's had a rough day. Normally I'm passive and understand that sometimes they get busy but the way the shift lead handled the situation with disrespect, attitude and lack of communication would really upset anyone. read more

What a great place!! We talked with Albert, the manager, a few days before my MIL's burial at Burwood cemetery to reserve his back room for a celebration of life after her burial. Albert and staff were so nice and accommodating. They made the day so prefect and worked with us on the salad bar, drinks and pizza. What a great place to have a large event. read more

This is the absolute WORST Mountain Mikes we have ever been to! My husband prefers Mountain mikes and we don't have one where we live, so he suggested we drive all the way to Escalon so he could get his fix. What a mistake that was! From the moment we walked in, I knew it was not going to be good. First of all, there was three employees working, not one of them acknowledged us. We stood there at the register as employees walked back-and-forth doing their thing completely acting like we weren't there. We finally moved to the other register where we could see into the kitchen area, hoping they would see us and come take our order. The guy finally comes over to help us, with a big ass attitude. He clearly did not want to be there. My husband asked him how he was doing and he said "tired". OK so that's our fault? He was the most unfriendly person I have ever seen. He took our order with his little attitude and we went and sat down. Our pizza finally comes out and let me tell you... it was not good. There was barely any toppings on it and had the strongest yeast taste. I could barely choke it down. Never in my life have I had a pizza taste so bad... what a complete waste of time and money. went here on the way home from Yosemite today 2/16/25, and normally it's all good, but today we arrived 1-1/2 hours before posted closing time, ordered our pizza for (7 of us) and then tried to order a salad and they said No.... that's like a in n out saying no fries with your burger because we close in a hour and half... could have been an extra $70 bucks for the store, but apparently it's too hard to put on a glove and pop the lid on some tupperware and assemble a few salads. what made it worse is I can see all the salad stuff right behind the cashier. this is horrible customer service... needless to say they also never asked if the pizza was good or any of that... super disappointed.. was really looking forward to salad and pizza at a place I normally trust and like. but the kids working there didnt care about anything except getting off work.... pizza was just mediocre. totally bummed about it too. I guess my family and I will have to go all the way to Escalon to D'boni pizza. they never fail, so if you want what you want, then go to D'boni pizza, little extra drive but 10x better customer service, salad (anytime) and pizza. Pizza was fire. You can tell the workers took their time on it. The cheese pull was there, the crust was nice and crispy, and the flavor was really good for the typical Mountain Mikes pizza. Ordered small combinatiin pizza, Cheese stick with marinarra sauce. The pizza was just ok. Not much toppings with very wide crust Asked if the sauce for Cheese stick could be heated , was told "NO we can't heat the sauce, it's always served cold" I suggested a microwave to heat the sauce, again told No!I asked for ranch dressing for my pizza, was told NO! Escalon Mountain Mikes is killing it! They are one of the few if not the only pizza place open today on Christmas Eve, they are super busy. They are handling it like champs. Delivery times weren't outrageous and the pickup seemed to flow seamlessly. My pizza got the wrong topping but they made it right and I have no complaints. Very friendly staff! Highly recommend. Orders a chicken club pizza, no tomato, add onions and jalapeños. Pays for additional toppings. Receives pizza, opens box, tomatoes.. no onions or jalapeños. This isn't the first time this has happened, and it's definitely my fault that I keep handing them money knowing I probably won't received what I ordered.. foolish on my part. This location doesn't care about its customers enough to get ingredients right. We'll stick to d'bonis and pizza plus. read more

The pizza was delivered on time. I had requested contactless. The driver chose to put the pizza on the ground rather than the table near the front door. When I called the store and spoke to the manager, he said this was acceptable and then hung up on me. Thank goodness there are two other pizza places in Escalon. The last two times I ordered from this location, the turnaround time was way off. One order that was quoted 35 minutes took an hour and 30 mins, and the other one that was quoted an hour took over 2 hours. The first one was for pickup, and when I arrived to pickup they hadn't even put it in the oven yet. They were busy & understaffed, and I always try to be understanding of that. But they were likely busy & understaffed when I called to place my order, too. Why not give a more realistic turnaround time to reflect that? I wouldn't have ordered from them if I had known, because I was bringing the pizza to a party that I needed to be at by a certain time. About 4 other customers who walked in to pick up while I was there were all in the same boat...Shocked that their order wasn't ready yet, & disappointed that they had to sit there and wait. Too many chances and always disappointed. Every time we get a pizza it always is undercooked and greasy. Once we had it delivered and half the toppings were on top of the box and cheese melted off the pizza onto the sides of the box. I came here many times for lunch. Since it is located near the high school, I suggest coming before/after the lunch period to avoid the crowds. They take online orders, so I always order on their website first before picking up. I typically get a 10" make-your-own with garlic sauce, pepperoni, italian sausage, and salami. It comes out to be around $15 each time. They finish cooking my pizza exactly when I planned to pick it up, so I am never concerned about my pizza being cold or sitting around. The pizza taste great! Hit and miss. You would think mountain mikes would be consistent. I had a pizza from here the other day and the dough was half cooked and doughy. It was very gross, like gooey stretchy raw doughy. Used to love Mountain Mikes in Mountain View-- I lived there for 17 years. Last May I visited Mountain View and ordered a vegetarian with sausage from their restaurant in SunnyVale. It was good! My dogs enjoyed sharing it with me. When this place opened in little Escalon I was surprised because there are already 2 good pizza restaurants here. Curious to test this new one I tried my first pizza at the new Mountain Mikes-- 1/2 veg for me and 1/2 meat (Pikes Peak) for the dogs. I walked in and there is a glass case with the pickup pizzas -- Oh that's nice I thought! As I stood there the young lady said I had to go over to the other register (then why is there a register right there?). The paying experience wasn't as smooth and friendly as Pizza Plus where the staff is always upbeat, personable, etc. This place was awkward, like they haven't worked it out yet. (Hint: let the take out customer hand you money where the pizza is waiting --then bring back the change from whatever other register you want to use...) It was not a great pizza. At first I was hungry...but soon found the pizza to be much less than what I'm used to. The crust was really thick, doughy, heavy carbs. I prefer a lighter, thinner, crisper crust. The 1/2 meat side for my dogs was disappointing because the pepperoni (they boast about how it curls up) was tiny like pennies and so thin & curled up & dried out; not very tasty...and the chunks of sausage were overcooked into hard nuggets. The salami was paper thin but my collie liked the taste (what there was of it) as well as the ham so I fed those to her with my fingers. Neither dog wanted to grab a slice to wolf down like they do with a Dibonis or Pizza Plus. Hmmm. Maybe my dogs are on a low card diet? The veggie side was nothing to write home about. Thick tomato slices were standard unripe supermarket type-- almost raw. Fresh tomatoes on pizza can be delicious if they are home grown, or those "on the vine" hothouse ones that are ubiquitous now days. But a thick, raw, unripe tomato doesn't belong on an Italian pizza! The place just opened I think, so maybe things will get better. They have other food and drink and desert items I didn't experience. Maybe those are good, I can't say. As for Pizza-- I'd say they should get a thinner crust, thicker meat, and ripe thin *tasty* tomatoes. In fact the dogs just ate the cheese & meat -- leaving behind so much crust you could make a loaf of bread from it. read more

I was driving home to the Bay Area today (Monday, 2/15/2016) and got quite a craving for a slice of pizza. I stumbled across this Mountain Mike's in Escalon. I walked in to see if they sold pizza by the slice. I saw 5 sliced pizza's under a warming light. As I walked in, the girl behind the counter said "I am sorry, but the all-can-eat lunch buffet ended 15 minutes ago". I told her I did not want the buffet, I just wanted to buy a piece or two of pizza. She told me "we do not sell pizza by the slice". I asked her how much was the "all-you-can-eat" buffet? She said $6.95. I asked her if I could pay $6.95 for 1 slice of pizza. She said no. I then asked her, if the buffet is over, what will you do with the 5 pizzas under the warming light? The first time I ordered from Mountain Mikes I was very disappointed. The crust seemed under cooked and very doughy, and the sauce . . .well I barely tasted any. So after a few months I get a coupon and decide to give it one more try. This time I ordered a thin crust thinking it might be better and more crisp. Boy was I sure wrong. . .the thin crust was even worse. It was so undercooked and felt like rubber. And once again the sauce was barely there. I supposed I should have asked for extra sauce cause I could barely taste any and was very bland in flavor. The lady on the phone who took my order was very friendly and I had no problem using the coupon. However I have had better frozen pizzas and feel I wasted my money. This place has great pizza. It tastes great and has great service. The only problem is that (only on some days) the floor gets a little dirty after lunch rush. The pizzas have many combinations and the cooks always get your order right. There is a great atmosphere with the mountain theme. If anybody has a party or event, you can reserve one of the rooms. All in all, this place really deserves all five stars. read more

Now let me preface this by saying I don't normally like to give 5 star reviews, But i dont get how this location gets anything other than 5 stars. I have to drive through Escalon every day on my way home from work. The one perk of starting at 3am is being off at 12 and taking advantage of afternoon specials. I stop atleast 3 times a week at this location for their lunch buffet. All you can eat Pizza, Garlic Knots, Salad, and they even give you a scoop of their ice cream! which i think they make on site! The staff is very friendly and seem to enjoy being there. Even if they were rude i dont think they could keep me away from their garlic knots. i havent seen these at any other locations, they are addicting. I have ordered for take out and the pizza was delicious. i reccomend trying the cheeseburger pizza. It tastes just like in-n-out!! very original. read more

I love the new Mountain Mike's in Escalon! Finally, we have some great, consistent pizza in our little town! The pizza is fresh, the sauce is great, and the service is genuinely friendly, even if the staff does seem like they're still getting their bearings, and maybe trying a little too hard. Since they've opened, we've gone about 4 times, once as dine in and the rest we're take out. We've tried a few different specialties and a "create our own"...hint...standard Hawaiian plus pepperoni is awesome! Anyway, even though it's a little pricey (except on Tuesdays when all larges are 30% off), you get what you pay for. Another hint..
