Dr Politz is brilliant. I went for a 2nd opinion, but did not disclose that I had seen another podiatrist. I have seen many podiatrists in my life as I had ingrown toenails, even as a child. I had previously gone to another Las podiatrist Dr S with 5 Yelp stars. Dr S said I wouldn't like what he had to tell me... Dr S said I had to have both of my toenails removed and permanently cauterized. Dr S said I would no longer ever have big toes nails. I was not offered an x-ray. Thank God I am in the medical field. The diagnosis by Dr S made no sense to me. Not taking an x-ray made no sense to me. I told him I would think about it and Dr S replied, you will come back when you can't stand the pain. 2nd opinion: I waited 2 months to see Dr Politz who immediately x-rayed one foot and found that my left big toe was badly broken. The break was obvious on the x-ray. She fitted me for a medical shoe/boot. Dr Politz then looked at my big toe on my right foot, which had a terrible ingrown toe nail on both sides. Dr Politz offered surgery for the right toenail and permanent removal of only the side walls, where I have suffered with ingrown toenails for years. Results: 3 weeks later... Broken toe is healing and pain is less than 50% of what it was. The x-ray today showed the bone is healing. Surgery was done on my right big toenail on both sidewalls were removed and cauterized. Today, my toenail looks great and I no longer have ingrown nail on my big toe of my right foot... I am out of pain and have a beautiful healthy toenail on my right foot. I am so grateful to Dr. Politz and her team. I experienced extraordinary care from her and both of her assistants. Her front office person is busy and very proficient. She has become very warm and friendly, as I have now been back for post op visits several times. Dr Politz saved my right big toenail and is resolving my broken toe, before I proceed to have the same ingrown toenail surgery on my left big toenail. She would not operate on the left big toenail until the fracture healed. She said it would be too painful. Dr Politz has a big personality which I totally enjoyed. She is enthusiastic, funny, sincere and loves Frango mints from Marshall Field & Co in Chicago, where she went to school. She is straightforward, confident and and empowered me to make great decisions and progress because of her knowledge. Her Father was a podiatrist and she has experience beyond her many years in practice. I have experienced her treatment as that of a perfectionist with excellent results. Dr Politz follow up care is thorough. Highly recommend her as the best podiatrist I have ever seen. If you live in Las Vegas, she is the best of the best. No matter how far away you live, Dr Politz is definitely worth the drive. 5 stars plus! Like most Doctors or Scientists who are Brilliant Genius types... Dr Politz is unique and a bit of a wild card. Great doctor and wonderful staff! I used to see Dr. Politz a long time ago but changed insurance I had to find a different podiatrist. Bummer! I tried a different doctor that was part of my insurance plan, but this doctor wasn't as good. I stopped seeing that doctor. I retired for a year and a half, but was called back to work. I picked an insurance policy that allowed me to go to any doctor. I immediately made an appointment with Dr Politz. I just happened to have a swollen, painful toe. Dr Politz immediately spotted the reason and took care of it. She is so smart and experienced and her knowledge allows her to spot the issue and quickly resolve the problem! Brilliant! read more

When I saw a mani pedi Groupon pop up, I figured I'd give this place a go. I'm on the fence about how to rate this place. It had some good and some bad. So we'll go with middle-of-the-road / 3 stars. It was a bit difficult to find. And it was definitely odd, and even uncomfortable, walking in. It is literally in a medical office building. And then it is tucked away in the back of a podiatrist's office. While the space is nice enough, it is definitely not what I expect of my mani pedi places. There's no front desk, no waiting area, no host person to show you around or check-in with, etc. The good: - Since it is practically in a hospital and actually inside a podiatrist's office, it seems safer than a strip mall nail place. - All the instruments are sterilized - in their own individual packet opened just for you. - The foot bowls are nice. - The pedicure and manicure were good enough. - It's cheaper than a mani pedi at a proper spa. The bad: - Not bad at all, but it was different and a bit awkward to be getting a pedicure alongside senior men. - The staff have no uniforms or anything. - There is no one to greet you or anything, so it's kinda strange walking in. - Again, not necessarily bad, but there are no speedy services here. - It's not as inexpensive as the strip mall places. - There were TVs for each pedicure chair, but they weren't on. - My massage chair at least didn't work. - The top 40 music was annoying and very non-tranquil. - The entire place is about the size of my bedroom. The ugly: - There are no doors or anything, so when you are in the pedicure chair, you face the doctor's office hallway. And the door to the exam room was open. And there was a guy in there literally screaming. If this place was closer to me, I might consider it as an alternative to going somewhere on the Strip. But between the distance and the awkwardness of seeing feet get examined down the hall, I'm not sure I'd make the trip out to this place again. However, if you do live in the area and/or are particularly concerned about sanitary nail places, I would recommend checking this place out. read more

Unprofessional front office staff. Was discharged from ER with instructions to follow up within 1-2 days, office unwilling to accommodate me and advised that I can't be seen for almost a month. I understand given the pandemic that appointments are limited, however the rude receptionist was unwilling to help or offer alternative solutions. Would not recommend. My money and health is better off with a practice that cares for patients. As a healthcare provider myself, I know my patients would not tolerate unprofessionalism and as a consumer I will not either. read more

This little piggy went to get a pedicure, this little piggy will never go anywhere else. Futzpah 118 is a completely different pedicure experience and for this I am very thankful. Perhaps its the comfort of having a pedicure done inside of a licensed podiatrists office - or maybe its just the neat feeling of parafin wax on my feet that wins me over - but whatever the reason - I am a life long customer of Futzpah 118 as long as they are in business. After numerous experiences - let me be clear - numerous bad experiences at nail salons in strip malls, I decided that my feet deserved a bit more than the razor hack job and questionable sanitary water. I don't want to lump all the salons into one pile, but I have had my fair share of experiences to know that the extra cost at Futzpah is more than worth it. You just "feel" like your doing something right for your feet. This is a great place for women and men. There's numerous services available, a cash discount and if you do happen to have a foot issue - there's a podiatrist in the building! Bonus! Great clinician, tremendous staff, you need a very thick skin, she tells you exactly what she is thinking or feeling and it can hurt. I left, because she told me how she felt,very graphically, and I felt she didn't deserve to have to deal with a patient that she felt was treating her and her staff that way!!! Best Podiatrist in town! Unfortunately I have had to come here a few times due to a really bad pedicure. Ingrown toenails are the worst and very painful. Dr. Politz is awesome and is so gentle when fixing this problem. I finally had a procedure done so it will never grow back. I feel like she performed a miracle on my toe. I love the staff, they are always so nice and I have never had a problem getting an appointment. I have also been here to buy custom inserts for my shoes. They were made really fast and really helped my feet. I found the price to be very reasonable. If you have any kind of problem with your feet, you will be really happy with Dr. Politz. read more

I went to Mountain Podiatry about two months ago. When I walked in I was greeted with nothing but smiles and when I was filling paperwork out Steve the assistant helped me with it. Steve and Dr Jodie where nothing but amazing. They took the time and explained everything to me. Jodie kept it short and simple and Steve took his time with me making sure I got the correct fit as I needed an insole. The pain that would shoot up from my toe to the back of my leg has stopped. Senior Citizen overcharged for off the shelf Superfeet insoles! After two appointments, Dr. Politz suggested my boyfriend buy Superfeet Delux Insoles for $70.00. At no point in time did she mention that the Retail Price is only $29.95 (Superfeet website, Amazon, Nordstrom to name a few). However, she does take the time (more than once) to pat herself on the back for what a terrific job she is doing. Upon learning that we were overcharged $40.00 for the insole I called the office asking them to refund the difference or to allow us to return them. The Doctor refused to refund the difference and would not allow us to return them. Her office manager said that they do not make enough money on insurance so they charge more for the insoles. Wow. They were not custom fitted insoles, just insoles that you can buy at the Mall or online. The Dr. pulled them out of the box and stuck them in the shoe. No modification was done. The office manager said that it was not a big enough deal to ague about. I told her that overcharging Senior Citizens was a big enough deal to argue about. But they don't care. What a shame that you go to a Doctor trusting that the right thing will be done, only to find that your insurance was billed for the visit (I assume the maximum) and they felt the need to charge a Senior Citizen $70.00 for a $29.95 product. Pitiful. Horrible customer service. I wish we had not gone there. read more

Unfortunately I don't have much good to say about this doctor or her assistant. I was referred here by my family doctor because she thought it might do me good to help relieve some of my foot pain (I'm in a wheelchair with bone death in both feet and elsewhere). Never been to a podiatrist before and after this I probably won't again. The doctor is a LOT to take. She acts extremely manic, very arrogant, and the f bombs were flying from both her and her assistant (you could tell they thought they were VERY cool because of all the swearing). I'm no prude mind you, but it's very odd coming from a doctor of all people. She looked at the imaging I had done and CATEGORICALLY told me I do NOT have avascular necrosis anywhere in either foot and that those other doctors are "f....ing morons who just want your money!!!!" (as if she's not after it) She told me ALL my problems could be CURED by putting a lift in my right shoe of less than a quarter inch. She also questioned whether I actually needed hip surgery (which I'm scheduled for due to a stress fracture in my femoral neck) and said "I wish you brought me that f...ing MRI, I'll bet you don't." At what point do you doctors become accountable for your actions? This doctor didn't state a personal opinion, it, according to her was a FACT that i didn't have AVN. But her definition of AVN isn't the actual meaning so maybe she should stick with prescribing Dr. Scholl's. The lift she put in my shoe DOES help the pain but if I were to listen to this snake oil salesman, i'd have broken feet that won't heal within the year. Thanks "Doc"! read more

Unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about my experience with Mountain Podiatry. In fact, I am considering making a complaint to the Podiatry Board. Woman who answers the phone are terribly rude and I was barely able to say what I was calling about when the woman began to ask how I planned to pay for their "service." It is an odd set up for a supposed Podiatry practice to also have a Mani/Pedi service. This place gave me no confidence that I would be getting the proper care of my feet. I have gone to Dr Jodi Politz since early 2000. She's smart, funny, serious and most important she knows her stuff. Last week I fell and broke my foot. I decided to see if could get in same day instead of going to urgent care. Mind you I hadn't been into her office for over 10 years, because she fixed my plantar facitis. I was asked if I could come right in. Yes and thank you for getting me in so fast. Yes she may speak fast, may be a little out spoken, yet she's honest and let's you know what's going on and what needs to be done. Her staff is friendly, yet busy. I have taken my son to her and have referred friends to her. They are all happy and impressed with her knowledge and help. I highly recommend her. read more

Had to post something after reading a previous review which I disagreed with. I also purchased a Groupon for a mani/pedi at Futzpah. It was nothing short of amazing! I was literally there 2 1/2 hours getting pampered. Best pedicure of my life! Oh, and for those that read the previous reviewer.... I don't understand what she is talking about as far as location/entrance. It is located next door to a podiatrist's office in Summerlin medical building. However, they have a lovely reception area with a couch and magazines. The whole salon is modern and appears very clean. I will go back in a heartbeat! read more

Best mani/pedi ever. I also have to respond to the earlier review, first it isn't hard to find if you can follow directions, it's located on the 1st floor of the summerlin medical building. The reception area is really nice, the salon is an extension of mountain podiatric, and is completely separated from the md office. The chairs and foot baths were clean, I watched the employees scrub after each patron. The tools came in an individual sealed pack. They had a good selection of nail polish, all good quality, china glaze & opi that didn't look old. Allen did my mani/pedi and I was hesitant at first b/c I don't really like men doing them, but he has changed my opinion forever! He made me feel comfortable and we immediately started a conversation. I have to say he was so thorough my hands and feet have never looked better. This place is a little more expensive than the Asian chop shops, but you get what you pay for. Make an appt, they only have 3 chairs. I will definitely be coming back. read more

went here for insoles. They tell you they are $300 including visits to fit & adjust... "we want to make sure they fit". So why do they bill (over bill) my insurance company EVERY visit???? So I started seeing Dr. Politz about a year ago. I was having lots of pain in my right foot. I ended up with some wonderful custom orthotics that make a HUGE difference for me. In addition, she sent me for an MRI and I ended up being diagnosed with a Morton's neuroma for which she gave me 3 separate cortisone injections. Each one lasting longer than the previous one. FYI: I was PETRIFIED of getting a shot in my foot, but she really does a fantastic job. I got total relief of the foot pain for several months at a time. Today I saw her again... thinking my neuroma had resurfaced (my last shot was 8 months ago). My symptoms were different, but in the same area. As soon as Dr Politz examined my foot, however, she knew it wasn't my neuroma and said it was bone this time. She x-rayed it and found that, sure enough, I had a broken bone. She ALWAYS quickly figures out the problem and fixes it. Doesn't do a bunch of unnecessary crap. She's no-nonsense and to the point. SO smart!! Her assistant Stephen also OUTSTANDING, and the girls in the front have always been really nice to me as well. I feel like I matter when I'm in that office. I just had to write this after reading a couple of the bad reviews. The truth is, she has quickly diagnosed, treated and fixed every problem I've had with my feet. I won't go to any other Podiatrist as long as Dr Politz is around! read more

This is the wildest unprofessional doctor appointment I have ever had. Started out I was given directions they are on the first floor by their office staff. It is not. They are on the 2nd fl. So we started out on the wrong foot. No pun intended. The front office staff is cold and unfriendly. There dress is tacky for such a fancy office is jeans and a sweat shirt not professional for a doctors office. There attitude matched there dress. The doctor was very rushed and talked fast. When I stopped her to ask questions she said "Let me finish" After she inundated me slew of information and over my head medical terms she seemed put out by my questions. She interrupted our appointment by calling staff in to discuss another patient that had gang green that they we're working on in her office. Gees sounds like she may get into a malpractice case with another patient. So much for the privacy policies. She scolded her staff about the mess that wasn't cleaned up in the office in front of me. Her staff was pushy in trying to fit a handmade orthothetic and to walk barefoot down the hallway. Her front office would not take my co-pay buy tried to get me to pay $300 up front. After trying to argue with me she said pay the $30 and call my insurance later. I said no I will call now. While I was trying to talk to the insurance company receptionist she started talking at me at the same time. I told her let me finish. She then called my insurance co. while I was on the line with them as well. She told me my visit would only be $19, that was the portion of the surgery I was given. I told her I did not have surgery. It was for the trimming of the toe nail. I now get the insurance statement and the doctor's office is claiming I had two surgeries. I am going to turn them in for absorbent fees & insurance fraud. You couldn't pay me to go back to this office. This doesn't even deserve a 1 star. If your thinking of making an appointment with this office think again. Nothing is exaggerated here. read more
