I initially pulled over near a different tow truck driver and asked him for help. He quoted me $980 to get to Denver and told me that was just the going rate for the area. Feeling completely defeated, I got back in my car and sat there for a minute trying to figure out what I was going to do. And then Brandon appeared -- and legitimately saved me. From the second he stopped, he was calm, collected, incredibly helpful, and so genuinely down to earth. He ended up towing me all the way to the Denver Airport so I could swap out my rental car, and the entire ride felt like talking to an old friend I'd known for years... except I had literally just met him. After such a stressful situation, Brandon genuinely restored a little of my faith in humanity. That kind of kindness sticks with you, especially when you're scared, far from home, and having a really bad day. Ryan's Recovery is absolutely spectacular. It says a lot about a company when their team is so vigilant that someone notices a stranded driver who needs help and actually stops. She didn't realize the Stanley Hotel was here in Colorado so I took her and her old man up to see it. After that we went through Rocky Mountain National Park before heading back down to Southern Colorado. We stopped for food in Granby and caught a flat. Thought I had a spare bit the car had a donut. Crap. Well, it wasn't ideal but we were mobile again at least, if still 4-5 hours from home. Not half an hour later just past Tabernash, we hit a pothole that BENT THE RIM OF THE DONUT! Called for a tow and was going to Idaho springs to spend the night while he had someone coming to get them to take them back home. I started looking for tire places in Idaho Springs for tomorrow (it was Sunday and sun was going down so NO WAY would anything be open). Imagine my surprise when Pure Mobile Tire showed up as OPEN!!! I thought for sure it had to be wrong but took a chance and called anyway. Sure enough he was open. He asked what kind of tire I needed and I told him. He said he would check to see if he had one and call me back. He called me back a couple of minutes later and said he did! Wish I had called him instead of my insurance roadside assistance! The tow dropped is off in Idaho Springs and I called him again. He showed up 15 minutes later and got us back on the road not long after. $40 for the tire, and $100 for the service call... At almost 11 at night ON A SUNDAY!!! 3AM and we're back home safe after a very eventful day. If not for Pure Mobile Tire I would have been stuck in a hotel tonight while a friend drove for 10+ hours total round trip to pick up my folks and take them back home and get back home himself. Extremely reasonable, knew what he was doing, and quick! He took the tire (the original flat) off the wheel, mounted the replacement, took off the donut and put the real tire back on the car. 10/5 stars!

On the way, he coached me on exactly what to say when notifying the company that performed the oil change, and ultimately even discussed the issue directly with said company so I wouldn't be taken advantage of. He reassured me that I shouldn't have to pay for the tow, the repair or the rental car, and made what initially seemed like a nightmare situation a lot easier. I had been there for 5 days waiting for someone to help me. I had one company try to help but they left me worse off than I was and never came back even though the tech told me he would. Good Sam Roadside finally got DJ out to me. DJ drove from Breckenridge 3.5 hrs to CB. He arrived around 9pm Wednesday evening to assess the situation and figure out what parts he needed. He even paid for his own hotel in Gunnison to get parts in the morning. The next morning he showed up with 2 leaf springs. They were the same part number but different manufacturer so they were a little off and we couldn't use them, unfortunately. He drove back to Gunnison (1hr away) and searched for the correct parts once again (all at no charge to me). He finally got back to my spot and had me fixed up in 2 hours flat! He made it seem so easy! The entire time DJ was calm, cool, collected, empathetic to my situation, and extremely meticulous with his work. We even jammed out to a little Tom Petty while he worked. When he was done he followed me to my campsite to make sure everything was safe and correct. He then re-checked my tires, springs, bolts, etc... (still not charging me for this extra time). I HIGHLY recommend DJ for your automotive/RV needs. He is now at the top of my contact list!
