I can't say enough good things about Mountain View Drive-In! The food is always amazing, the prices are great, and the atmosphere is one of the best around. You can really tell how much care and effort has been put into the place--Heidi has done such an incredible job making it welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. Every time I'm in the valley, this is where I eat--no question. And anytime family comes in from out of town, it's the first place they want to go. The Drive In is a valley staple, hand made burgers, delicious fried foods, amazing shakes, etc. Not only do they do an amazing job serving the valley, they also take the time to help shape our communities kids and their work ethic. I had dinner here with a friend while in town on business. The 'drive in' is really more like a home-grown, fast-food burger joint (that serves more than burgers) where you can get takeaway or sit and eat. We opted to sit and eat on the day we visited. The menu is pretty big, including standards like burgers and fries, onion rings and soft drinks, plus grilled cheese, a bunch of other fried veggies, tater tots, shakes, etc. At 6:30 pm when we arrived, the place was packed - between groups of kids, families and a few locals who appeared to be eating alone straight off a job site, there was only one table left. I ordered the fish fillet with extra tartar sauce and batter-dipped fries; my friend had a bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms and a side of onion rings. Our order took roughly 30 min to come out, but we were both pleasantly surprised the food was better quality and less greasy than we expected. My fish sandwich was on a fresh hoagie-type/sub roll, and the fish was not just a square frozen fillet from a box, but appeared to be a nice fillet of white fish freshly battered and fried. The batter was not too thick or too oily. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo (no tartar sauce), and except for the fact that I thought it was a little too much bread, it was really tasty and did not leave me feeling too full. My friend's burger was a thing of beauty - oozing melted American cheese, and really covered in a healthy portion of sauteed mushrooms, the burger patty itself seemed hand-formed and thicker than your standard frozen ground round, and the meat was juicy. She said it was scrumptious. We ate every bit and went back to our hotel happy. While I don't make a habit of eating fried food, this seems like the best option when you get your cravings for 'grease'! read more

Beware of pricing. Ordered the mushroom burger 7.64 but was charged 9.99 before tax. When i asked about the price i was just told that they haven't had a chance to update their board. No one else in my group was charged more than the listed price. WTH?!?? read more

Should have taken Photos for the complaint I filed with the Wyoming Health Department, from employees eating in the kitchen area over other food to cashiers handling unwrapped ice cream cones directly after handling money.. I think it's the best place in town, but there are only a handful of places..... The service is great, always very nice, and good at explaining the menu. Very friendly and helpful. It's fast food, but lower your expectation of how fast, fast food should be served and maybe you will be less disappointed. My husband and I had burgers, they were a bit dry. My bro in law had a chicken sandwich, he was hoping for something not deep fried, but all chicken is deep fried, he said it was OK, but nothing special. We also had some tater tots, they were good with good old fry sauce. We shared a caramel milk shake, it was like soft serve ice cream, couldn't hardly tell it was caramel. But after a weekend of fishing, it's all good, I am glad the place is there, so we can grab a bite to eat on the way home. read more

Very sad that this has so much potential, but we will never be back. undercooked frozen burgers for the kids, and my chicken sandwich tasted freezer burnt. I think they might have bought the breaded frozen chicken patty from Schwans man. Everyone in town says the same thing. Stay away. On the other hand, check out next door at the bowling ally. I must say I was surprised at the rating and reviews of this place I just logged on to Yelp so I can write an amazing review about this place I just received some of the best fish burger and my boyfriend received some of the best hamburger that we've ever had also I ordered the raspberry Blackberry milkshake and my bf haf the butter finger milkshake and seriously the best we we have ever ever ever had in Wyoming we are from California and I can't think of a place that had such a great quality great prices on their shakes seriously it was amazing that we were sitting outside with our dogs that gal that brought our shakes when bringing our meal gave us a dog hamburger patty or just a regular hamburger patty as a dog treat on the house just because she's awesome this place is fantastic we will definitely visit again!!! We are staying in Kemmerer for the summer so it's about an hour drive for us but definitely is worth it OMG if you're from out of town stop at this place so worth it also the fries are awesome!!!!!! read more

On 9/5/2015, my family and I went to have a quick bite, this place was not only dirty but had very unprofessional employees. I watched as the cooks where yelling at the person running the counter. After waiting for 30 min to get 3 burgers and fries, one of the burgers where wrong. I took the burger back and the cooks seemed put out, and once again yelled at the person working the counter, I actually felt embarrassed for her. Management needs to hire a crew that are not teens and will respect fellow employees. read more
