Finally made it to granny's. An iconic summertime stop in Heber city. We only had the milkshake today. Delicious. They call it a milkshake, but it's really a massive cup of soft serve ice cream that eventually melts into milkshake mode. Very thick. Did I say it was delicious? We will definitely go back for burgers and onion rings. They all look fantastic and reasonably priced.

The shakes are always awesome here and this time was no different. Even a small size is still pretty big, but the large shake is monstruos. Love sitting outside when the weather is great. My wife and I went here on a first date and so it's always a nice trip down memory lane for us.

I always forget how huge the shakes are! The burgers are as good as other fast food places (but more expensive, so I could pass on the burgers).

The food was great! Service was great! This is more of a takeout place. Dinning in was tight and not much space though there was lots of outdoor seating

In Park City, but wanted to explore this area more. We were on our way to Deer Valley and moved down the highway to Heber City. Granny's Drive In had a large crowd outside on Friday afternoon and required us to investigate. Established in 1982, they are known for their burger and fries. The internet highlights a homemade soft serve milkshake that nearly everyone sitting at the outside picnic was enjoying. That worked perfectly for us. We ordered a vanilla soft serve shake with raspberry and ground up butterfinger bar. My wife had a vanilla soft serve with peanut butter and chocolate chips. The small shake was almost to much food (NOT). A great choice and perfectly done. They are not fancy, but JUST GOOD. On another trip to Utah, we will gladly make an excursion to Granny's Drive In for the perfect shake. A job well done and a smoking value. ATTA BOY, GRANNY'S.

This is the quintessential fast food place in Heber! It's been here for as long as I can remember. The food is awesome and the service is friendly. The current owners seem to be making great strides toward growing the business and improving things. My only complaint is that they're only open during the aum

I don't get the low reviews of this place. The food was amazing. And huge! Buns are so good. My husband has the bbq burger and I didn't even get a picture before his face was in it.

Granny's Drive In was a great find on our way home to Salt Lake City! We were craving good burgers and this place didn't disappoint! Fresh yummy burgers and to top it off they have onion rings! We didn't get the shakes but they looked delicious. We ate outside with our golden retriever and she enjoyed her time too! Stop by this place for the best burgers in town. The train place down the street is ok too but this one is better!

Props to Grannies Drive-In in Heber City! The hidden gem that deserves every bit of Yelp recognition! Ahhh the burgers: their signature dish was a mouthwatering masterpiece, perfectly grilled and bursting with flavor! Prepare your taste buds for a flavor expedition because I've just experienced the greatest Western burger on the planet! Picture this: crispy, golden onion rings nestled atop a perfectly cooked beef patty, hugged by just the right amount of lettuce. And let's talk about that barbecue sauce--it was like a flavor explosion, tangy and smoky in all the right ways. Each bite was a climatically stimulating party in my mouth, with the flavors dancing in harmony like a well-rehearsed symphony. That large and in charge patty was cooked to absolute perfection, it was a masterpiece of beefy goodness. This burger was large enough to be a good representative of what the Western United States is really like--large, vast, and monumental. I'm talking about a burger that's so substantial, it could rival the size of the Grand Canyon (well, almost!). Every bite was a journey through the heartland, with flavors as bold and expansive as the landscape itself. It boarded on to tall or to large I had to take my self back to my days of reading how to eat an elephant...it was that large, one Bite at a time is what I told my self. Really though, the portion size was out of this world! Seriously, I thought I was seeing things when they handed me that towering burger. In a world where we're often shortchanged on servings, Grannies Drive-In restored my faith in humanity with their generous portions. I mean, I practically needed a forklift to tackle the mountain of fries they served with it! (Although no combos here it is on the side) Now, let's get down to fry business. Crispiness? Check. Flavor? Double check. These fries were like golden nuggets of pure joy, with just the right amount of salt to keep you reaching for more. But back to the portion size saga: I swear, they must have dumped half the potato farm onto my bag. It was like a never-ending sea of fries, and I was happily lost at sea. It's rare to find a place that doesn't skimp on the sides, but Grannies Drive-In proved that they're not just in it for the profits--they genuinely want to see their customers leave with a smile and a full stomach. In a nutshell, if you're ever in Heber City and craving a meal that'll leave you feeling like royalty, Grannies Drive-In is the place to be. Their burgers are fit for a king, their fries could rival any gourmet side, and the portion sizes are a beacon of hope in a world where "small" seems to be the new normal. Trust me, your taste buds--and your appetite--will thank you!

This place is so awesome. The food has very generous portions. Their food is very filling, fresh, and delicious. I got the black bean burger and I was very impressed with it! The fries are wonderfully seasoned too. My only wish is that they offered self serve refills to the customers and self serve fry sauce we didn't get very much. The atmosphere is really wonderful though. Outside patio and indoor eating area.

It has this old world feel to it, like it's been around since the 1900's. Although it isn't that old. Several TV's available to watch sports. Pub food at its finest. I enjoyed my Club Sammy - it was filled with meat and I could barely get through half of it! The fries- superb! Best fries I've had in a long time. My husband had the Reuben bread was nice and fresh, thought the sandwich was good but could use more meat. He really liked the fried cheese curds as a side. Kiddo had the hot dog with cheese fries. Service was good. There was no available parking in front, but we found a spot in the back and walked in through through the back door.

Although there is a bar there is also family seating, which is super nice for our family. I got the chili burger, I'd be torn between getting it again or trying something else. It was really good, I wouldn't be mad at having it again. Our waitress was super friendly, it wasn't particularly busy when we were there so she had plenty of time to check on us. I could definitely see this place getting busier later in the evening. This is a nice in between of what is offered for food around here. Either fast food or restaurants trying to be too high end. Stop trying to make Heber Park City. Some more "normal" restaurants for people who want a sit down meal but one that doesn't cost $200. All in all it was a great experience and we will be back!

But the service was awful! We walked in around 2 or so for lunch on a Monday. It was crowded. Several staff walked past us waiting at the counter for a seat and didn't say a peep to us. Finally a woman appeared and said she'd be with us shortly. She came back and when it asked if we could sit on the patio she told me it was closed because in the morning it had been cold. It was in the 70's at 2pm?! She sat us at a table next to a support beam and it felt very tight. Chairs were not very comfortable and the table was wobbly. It was very warm in the restaurant and very loud. We sat for 15-20 minute without a single person acknowledging us. I was about to get up and leave when finally a waitress came for our order. My husband enjoyed his Back 40 burger commenting on how juicy it was but expected more flavor. I ordered a Garden salad which was really good. Carrots were huge, tomatoes were yummy and like I said earlier the greens were so crisp and so fresh. My daughter had the chicken tenders and seriously the chicken was so tender and tasted fresh unlike grocery store chicken. The views are amazing!

That wasn't the case and I don't think this will be a place I could stomach again. Pros: the front seating area is pretty cute and gets you excited. It is seat yourself so see an open table and you can grab it. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Cons: #1 is the food. It was almost close to terrible. My partner ordered the French toast which could be easily made at home. Just basic eggs and Walmart brand bread. No seasoning, nothing. I ordered the sausage and eggs with hash browns. The sausage was a burger size patty. Kinda chewy and a different flavor to it. Not awful but definitely not great. The kicker came with the hashbrowns. They were TERRIBLE. They are your Great Value brand hash brown patties with no seasoning, no taste, crunchy and almost unable to stomach them. I think they took 3 patties and toasted them then tried to crumble them up to resemble restaurant style hash browns. Finally our order was basic. Eggs, sausage and toast. It took over 20 minutes to even get us our underwhelming food and the restaurant wasn't even full. I think this place may have been good at one point but that is long gone. This was a one and done for us. If you're hungry there are much better options - even McDonald's!
