You can either try and pick apart the few, savory elements as the sweet undertones highlight the mild acidity of the sauce or enjoy the maelstrom of deliciousness in one bite. Either way, it's perfect. It's so good, it's simply overwhelming. Texture, taste, value, this dang sandwich knows no bounds. I had one on the way up to hike the AT, and stopped back by so I could by another to enjoy on the way home (I was hoping it would make the journey back to Nashville, but my self control failed me). The Italian is great too, but the meatball sub is the belle of the ball. This place is truly one of a kind, from the trailer set amongst mountains to (if Chef Frank still has them out there) the TVs tunes to a channel that plays bluegrass music on the wrap around patio of the trailer. A word about Frank: I grew up with a grandfather who owned a mom and pop deli, so I know the type. You want great food? Don't be in a hurry, don't tell him how to make what he clearly knows how to make (and well, I might add), and don't be hyper sensitive when it comes to him catering to your demands. The guy knows what he's doing. Let him do it so you can enjoy it. For every one star review, it has nothing to do with the food. For every five start review, it does. Don't Yelp review people's personality, go by the principle of good food being good food. But I digress...

It took 15 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them, my son ordered ice tea unsweet, when it finally came it was sweet tea, received the wrong dressing for my sons salad. When our food finally showed up I had ordered a Veggie Calzone it was a veggie pizza! I did not send it back as it took 45 minutes to get the first meal! I was shocked to find that the good waitresses had quit. I believe you need to train your waitresses better. I will not be back for a while, hopefully things will get better! Love the atmosphere!

Our crazy group of 10 ordered just about everything: calzones, manicotti, baked ziti, chicken Parmesan, fettuccine, pesto chicken pasta, an Italian sub, chicken marsala, and spaghetti & meatballs--and every single dish was outstanding. There wasn't a bad bite on the table! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was exceptional, and the hospitality made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. Everything was cooked perfectly, served hot, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our large group had a fantastic experience. It's not often that 10 people all leave completely happy, but Portofino nailed it. We can't recommend this place enough. If you're in the Newport area and craving amazing Italian food, this is the place to go. Matisee did an amazing job taking care of us!!! Thank you!! We'll definitely be back!

Pros: 1.The pizza to me is served fresh, hot and that CHEESE PULL your kids are going to love that!!!! The adults definitely did 2. The staff excellent, friendly, professional, the BEST. You can make reservations so try to so you don't have to wait. If you do have to wait they have corn hole outside and a few benches. 6. Parking is plentiful and very close to entrance of the restaurant 7. Clean restrooms/ and restaurant 8. You will get full and the appetizers/desserts were not skimpy at all this place will fill you. Matter of fact my family really enjoyed the apps and desserts surprisingly. Cons 1 only one con - the pizza has normal flavor combinations. I did not experience a wow flavored pizza at Pizza Rio but I was not disappointed about coming either. This place is not something my family would visit repeatedly because the price to me doesn't match the experience. Please however experience it once because all the things you wished Cicis pizza offered to make the day feel grand out with your family this place definitely gives you without fail!!!!

Not…read moreparticularly new or clean in appearance, this place was definitely not lacking in personality or friendliness. The staff were delightful, quick, and efficient. Upon looking at other reviews, it appeared that their pizza wasn't really the best choice - so I opted for the cheeseburger and fries combo. The cheeseburger was maybe 1/4 lb at best, but it was griddle-cooked and juicy. The burger itself was fully loaded with all the traditional fixin's, and the bun itself was also seared in liquid butter. Delicious. The fries were also nothing to sneeze at. Perfectly cooked and crinkle-cut (but not the frozen bag kind... Way thicker). Also, COVERED in seasoned salt. My favorite. I can't say I'll venture out this way again, unless my wife drags me back out to CLIMBWorks again, but if we do, we'll definitely have to stop by.

The pizza had a lot of risen holes (it's the round areas on the pizza) in it, the dough was undercooked in certain places. The cheesesteak was much smaller portion than usual. The bread was the same size. The small amount of cheesesteak was hard, tough and dry extremely skimpy on the meat for the high price tag it's around $10. Extremely disappointing, I or my husband have been coming here for Over a year. The quality and quantity took a drastic nosedive since two weeks ago. He tried to overcharge us by $3 for extra cheese. As you can see, this is not extra cheese. There are Little Burn risen holes are everywhere. This place is usually good. This time it wasn't. It was extremely disappointing. I will be unfortunately driving to a few miles further to Gatlinburg to pick up pizza from now on. Pizza and Sandwiches are way too expensive to "hope" it's going to be prepared the same. If one would have been made to their usual standard I would not have wrote this review. It's the fact both pizza and sandwich was complete underwhelming trash, I wrote this review.

I don't know what was wrong with that guy, but as a writer and a human, I can assure you that no matter what you do, you can never make everyone happy all the time. That's why it's best to just be authentically you. I got a little off-topic there. What I saying was ... the only negative reviews are for long wait times for takeout or if the dining-in crowd thinks the takeout orders have taken priority over their food. It has nothing to do with the quality of the food. I dined-in and sat outside. The wait times for food were right on the money. I didn't feel rushed and it didn't take too long. I could enjoy my meal and the experience. I have been to Frankie's across the street and had two meals there: Chicken Parm and the Spaghetti & Meatballs. The Chicken Parm was much stronger than the Spaghetti & Meatballs. So when comparing the two Chicken Parm dishes, they are equal but polar opposites. Frankie's is a fancier place with all the bells and whistles. It's a great vibe but also a little expensive. The Chicken Parm is thicker and you get a side of pasta but have to pay for the salad. At Bizzarro, the Chicken Parm is a much thinner cut but still a large portion, you can get angel hair pasta (a rare treat), and you don't have to pay for the salad. For bread, you get traditional at Frankie's and garlic knots at Bizzaro's. I'm not a huge fan of garlic but during this meal, I realized I like garlic knots if I eat them upside down. As for vibe/atmosphere, at Bizzaro, I walked through the little service area to get to the outdoor tables. As I ate, there were parked cars right there, someone mowing a lawn in the distance, and the TV was on from the service area. I would usually not like these things, but I loved it here. It completely fit the vibe of feeling at home and just chilling on the deck. Add the friendly staff and you will feel very welcomed. While the Chicken Parms are different yet equal, Bizzaro's definitely wins for value as you get similar portions plus a salad at a much lower price. I'm glad I found Bizzaro's and I have added it as a go-to when in town. I'll still hit Frankie's too, but maybe Bizarro more often. It always depends on the second visit. I didn't try the pizza yet but I'm sure it's good. The only negative here is the awkward and small parking lot but no big deal. Highly recommended!

Parking is limited but it is worth a park/walk. We hit Doughboys on a Saturday while a little league tourney was going on across the street. They were packed inside and running a mob scene carryout at the same time. They handled this with ease. Inside is a large bar, a few wallside booths and mostly large tables, seat yourself first come/first served. Claim your seats then step up to the bar to order and take your number to your table. Make sure to order your drinks and food together! Plenty of draft beer choices for your thirst; ice water is served in pitchers as well. Now to the pizza. Even with the huge crush, our food was out in about 20 minutes. The pies were hot out of the oven. Excellent crust with good chew and flavor; the meat pie was cooked through (no cold gristly ham or bacon) and delicious. Sauce is spot on and not too weak. Margarita had very fresh mozzarella and basil accompanying the tomatoes. Dry rub wings were large, not overcooked and served quickly, about a dozen were in our order. Food is run to your table. Watching the staff work is always a pleasure when they've got a tight ship. Even a dropped tray of glassware in the bar (oops) didn't slow them down. They are doing it right here and it shows.
