Samples are always great , one waffle with ice cream ( up charge) was $16 but it a must stop for me when in town

Wow, 5/5 stars - they got us when we were walking by. Just a small window and tiny sit down area. The employees were offering free samples - fresh whipped cream with toppings of cookie batter, dark chocolate, and salted caramel. Omg, it was simply but delicious! They got us hooked. They offer these toppings on coffee drinks, waffles, shakes, etc. We opted for the shake with ice cream and cookie batter. It was decadent and simply delicious. It tasted a bit like cookies and cream - it was $10 but the entire family sharing this sweet mid day treat. I would definitely recommend the cookie batter and salted caramel.

I really enjoyed this place but I do think it is ever so slightly overpriced. I know that the ingredients are shipped from France, but there was not nearly enough cookie butter on my waffle to my liking but the service was great and it was a cute little set-up. We also went at an interesting time of year, that being in January, so perhaps that played a factor. Two people can definitely share one waffle.

I got a frozen strawberry lemonade ($10) it was good for drinking in the heat, but didn't feel worth it for the cost.

If you want a unique dessert, I recommend Waffle De Lys! They make their waffles to order and you can either choose toppings of your choice, or order from their menu. I have done both and was delighted by them. Their caramel, biscoff spread, and whipped cream are stellar! If you make the right choices, your dessert won't be overly sweet either, which is good. The waffle with toppings can easily feed 2-3 people as well! They have two locations on the Gatlinburg strip and are very good about offering samples of their caramel, whipped cream, and more.

We were passing the place and a young man asked if we wanted samples - his enthusiasm for waffles and how it's made was incredible. I didn't want a waffle originally, but he really sold me and I'm glad he did. This was the most delicious and decadent waffle dessert I've ever had. So so so good.

So wanted to take my granddaughter here after we tried it last year. It's amazing. Paris yummy! Forget the crazy mason shop if you want flavor and REAL food desserts this is the only place besides Maggie Mae's with real ice cream. Blue bell is flavored ice cream. Ben and Jerry's is half and half real and flavored. This waffle place is definitely a no brainer! $20 total with tip included for huge amount. So good! We had ice cream and whipped cream on our La crunchy with strawberry and banana fruit slices. The owner is for real!

THIS is THE dessert in Gatlinburg! Not a box "waffle " mix but a legit Belgium waffle made from dough! Do yourself a favor and get one! All fresh ingredients and supplied from France and Belgium.

I ordered the Creamy French Hot Chocolate Float. It was nothing more than cocoa with ice cream on top and looked NOTHING like the advertised photo. Major $8 disappointment!

Oh La La (without any nuts)

My husband went to pick this up and bring it back. It took 20 minutes to walk back with it and it's still warm and crispy. I'm allergic to nuts so it's nice to have something from a place that took that seriously and without worrying about contamination. I took a point off because the waffle tastes a little burnt and I can't stand any foods tasting that way but that is a personal opinion, other than this is a great dessert place to try at least once (like fried Twinkies at the carnival). I'm glad we took a moment to try this town favorite.

Atmosphere: Waffle de Lys is a stand that offers to-go desserts. There are some benches near the shop, but it is mostly a grab-and-go type place. Service: The server at the booth initially offered us free samples of their whipped cream. Afterwards, we waited less than 10 minutes for our waffle. Food: We ordered the La Classic waffle, which came with bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream on top of a Belgian waffle. The waffle came out hot, but we were hoping for it to be more crispy. The dessert was a decent snack in the middle of a Gatlinburg outing, but felt more like casual carnival food than a European delicacy that some people suggest. Overall: Waffle de Lys is a convenient place to fuel up with a sweet waffle in Downtown Gatlinburg. While the waffle wasn't amazing, it did its job to satisfy a sweet tooth!

I visited with a family group of 10, and from the moment we sat down, the experience was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, quick, attentive, and made excellent recommendations that helped everyone decide what to order. Despite the size of our group, she kept drinks filled, checked on us regularly, and made sure everything came out correctly. The food was exactly what you hope for when looking for a hearty country breakfast. The griddle cakes were enormous, light and fluffy with a rich buttery flavor that soaked up the syrup perfectly. They had a slightly crisp edge while staying soft and tender in the middle. The Big Breakfast Platter was massive, loaded with eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, and grits. That will say the first batch of grits that they gave me were horrible as they were clumpy and kind of cold however the waitress easily fix that and replace them with a hot bowl of brown sugar grits that I enjoyed completely, other than this Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and anyone who ordered eggs over medium were cooked just right The biscuits were some of the best we had during our Tennessee trip--large, flaky, buttery, and soft inside and out.. Whether eaten on their own or with gravy, they melted in your mouth. What impressed us most was that every single person in our party found something they loved, and everyone left completely satisfied. We were tasting everybody's food and still left with no one finishing their plates because The portions are no joke here. In fact, my only complaint is that there was so much food on my plate that I couldn't finish it all, and had to throw it away before heading home because it was a 3-hour ride back to the house so If you're visiting Gatlinburg and want a memorable breakfast with generous portions, great service, and delicious food, Crockett's Breakfast Camp is absolutely worth the wait, and it is a long long wait. sometimes..

The pancakes were good, but the funniest part was ordering the unlimited pancakes. To our surprise, they brought out one giant pancake at a time! We could barely finish the first one, so the "unlimited" part ended up being more amusing than useful. We also tried the chicken and waffles, which were very good. The French toast was decent but fairly standard, while the sausage and egg omelet was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. The biscuits were also tasty and complemented breakfast perfectly. Overall, this is a solid breakfast spot with generous portions, good food, and a lively atmosphere. My favorite part was the broccoli cheddar soup that came with my meal. It was delicious. My country chicken with gravy was a little chewy but the gravy was flavorful. Our waitress was very sweet. Gordon Ramsey would consider it a threat. As a chewy bacon lover and enthusiast, when my bacon came out charred and demented, i was appalled to say the least. I had to drench it in the white gravy so it would give my stomach the illusion of chewy. Even then, even with the request of chewy, i was let down. The home fries were exceptional.. as exceptional as any other home fry you'll get on the Pigeon Forge strip. And why? They'll all the same refrigerated chips of processed mess. Soggy, not even crisp. So poor you'd hope the microwave would add additional flavors from all the other food they microwaved. I wouldn't even praise the food if paid me, it's sad enough i paid IT to taste like wet squeaky boots. But anyways the atmosphere was just bewildering! They have a big exhibit with birds you can watch. Sometimes they're loud and a bit squawk-y but it doesn't deplete the experience. This is my internal conflict with a certain drink on the menu. The Monster. This satanic abomination soup of a beverage really tempted me. I drink energy drinks and was excited to try a Monster! I mean.. we're all a little adventurous deep down.. human nature! Wrong. Apparently.. With full fledged confidence.. as much as you'd expect at a busy bar playing BINGO.. I asked the waitress for a Monster energy drink. Big. Mistake. I get it.. I took an unsuspecting picture of the beast waiting.. opened it.. and took a sip. If you were to ask me, giving somebody a pedicure with your MOUTH would taste no different than a can of this monstrosity. Maybe I recommend the restaurant.. but I don't recommend the Monster.
