Coffee! Looking forward to some steak and eggs!

Decent prices, you could spend 8-16 bucks per person on average I would say. Cute atmosphere, the dark wood and lighting are nice and it appeared very clean and not cluttered. Waitresses were very kind and checked in regularly. Thank you!

Mountainhome Diner is a classic American diner restaurant that opened in Cresco, Pennsylvania in 1956. Over the decades, it has been operated by a number of different owners. The current owners since 2017 are husband and wife restaurateurs Ali and Etab Abullattif. The enormous menu features classic staples such as omelets, pancakes, eggs benedict, french toast, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast wraps, salads, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, seafood entrees, steakhouse entrees, and various Italian specialties too numerous to mention. My family and I visited Mountainhome Diner for lunch on a recent trip to the Poconos. It was actually are last morning on our trip and we were looking for a place to grab lunch before making the drive back to Connecticut. We had driven past the diner several times on previous visits to the area, but had never visited before. We decided to give them a try. It seemed like a classic American diner that you could find just about anywhere. There's no website, no social media accounts, just good old-fashioned diner staples. The staff were friendly and accommodating and they seated us at a booth. A go-to dish that my wife and I both like to get at classic diners is a Greek salad, and Mountainhome Diner's "Big Fat Greek Salad" (chopped iceberg lettuce, crumbled feta, olives, tomato, onions, peppers, grape leaves, house Greek vinegar) sounded like it was just what we were looking for. I ordered mine with gyro while my wife ordered hers with chicken. Those salads really hit the spot! For our sons, we looked to the Kids Menu. Our older son had the "Hot Dog with French fries" while our younger son had the "Chicken Fingers with French fries". They were both very happy with their dishes. We had a nice time at Mountainhome Diner and we're happy that we finally stopped in. We recommend them to anyone visiting the area!

We stopped here for breakfast! The diner is super cozy and the staff is so nice and energetic! The amount of food we received in comparison to the price of each dish we ordered qualifies as a bargain! I went for the Denver Wrap and it was DELICIOUS!!

Clean place! (It's empty because of the snow lol)

The food portions for the money you spend is great. And the food tasted amazing. The server was so sweet and helpful. The place was clean and amazing seats.

Chicken Parm Sandwich, and Chicken Caesar Wrap I also had the stuffed mushrooms. Delicious and very family friendly place.

Amazing Food, Family friendly and good service, best diner in the pocono mountains. This is my 5th experience here and the food is excellent. You just visit.

Enjoyed my brunch at this place during our Pocono visit. Awesome omelette, great service. Special shout-out to the French Onion Soup which was fantastic as well!

Came here for breakfast with a large group. The restaurant was very accommodating however we had to ask for a high chair a couple of times and eventually gave up waiting and got our own. The food was very affordable! With 10 people and the bill came in under $100! Granted three of us didnt get a full meal bit still everything was very cheap! The food was very average. Not the worse or best we've ever had. Hubby however did love his gyro breakfast. The pancakes were just okay and the sausage patties were on the salty side.

AMAZING FOOD. I had a delicious eggs benedict with home fries that were to die for. Prices are insane, they are so cheap for the amount of food and great taste you get. Definitely check it out the energy is so nice there too.

Got breakfast there before hiking and sat outside at one of 3 picnic tables that are outside because we had our dog. The staff were really helpful. The chocolate chip and Oreo pancakes were really good, the Eggs Benedict were good (though my hubby said it could've used a bit more hollandaise.) I got cream chipped beef on toast which was average and we shared a side of corned beef hash which was ok but pretty small for the price.

2 eggs with Taylor ham, home fries, and rye toast Chocolate chip pancakes (short stack, separate order)
    Ashley L.

This diner is very cute and cozy. Prices are amazing (compared to where I'm from) - you get so much food for the price. The food tasted great, exactly what you expect from a s hometown diner. The chocolate chip pancakes were HUGE, soft, and sweet. Love that you can pick single (1), short (2), or regular (3) stack. Our waitress was very kind and sweet as well. Overall, would love to come back here for brunch and would definitely recommend!

The food and service was very good. The restaurant decor is nice, but the bathrooms are nasty. They certainly need a renovation.

Our server was Sienna, (not sure if that was spelled right), and she was extremely attentive to us and very patient with our group. We also were able to order Shirley Temples off menu because Sienna knew how to make those as well. They also served our Shirley Temples in insulated white foam cups. The food was perfect! We ordered their salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli, Chicken Française with a side of potato wedges, a side salad, Grilled cheeses with french fries for the kids, tuna melt, cheese curds, and a sandwich off their special menu I can't remember the name. The sandwiches came with bagged kettle cooked chips! I wasn't able to picture everything because everyone had mostly scoffed their food down immediately. Lol. Definitely recommend their brownie sundae for dessert, with their Double Dunker ice cream! SO GOOD! I also included a video of one of our rowdy kiddos having a good time with her food! Super worth it dining experience, I will say there is absolutely no signal to use your cellphone, so more family bonding haha. This place is amazing and would definitely come back.

I did it the first day and good was awful. So I looked to a good place to eat outside the Resort. So I found Barley Creek Restaurant. Katie was our waiter for the Saturday morning breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! And the service impeccable! I have never eaten such a good breakfast at such a good price in a vacation location. We came back for dinner the same day. They were packed and looked overwhelmed with the amount of customers. There was a 45min wait time but is was worth it. Just a little hiccup with the special ST Patrick special dish, the Hawaiian Walu, that came with orzo instead of risotto but the chef himself cane out of the kitchen apologizing and bringing to my wife a properly cooked risotto. Very professional and very much appreciated. The manager was very helpful again when my sons burgers came with the wrong cheese, and she took care of it herself! Thank you very much for a great experience! We will be back at lunch on Sunday. We really want to try out the lunch menu before leaving the Resort. Great job! Exceptional restaurant!

There's a drink to-go section and a gift shop section. The bar is a decent size. The ipa is good. The Strawberry Rose drink is not great. Would not order again. Menu said 7.50 but we were charged $11 for it. It's non-alcoholic. Sooo not worth it. Definitely do not recommend it. To start, we ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Burger. It's $22 and SO worth it. It's juicy and flavorful. This is the best cheesesteak burger we have had! Better than most cheesesteak sandwiches lol. Would definitely order again. The potatoes were also good / like potato chips. Nicely salted. For a dessert type dish - we ordered the Oreo stuffed French toast. We would not order this again nor recommend. It did not look like the pictures displayed around (of course!). The Oreo part of it was delicious. The French toast itself was on the dry side and tough to cut through / figure like cutting through stale bread. Otherwise, it would have been delicious. Did not need syrup as it was definitely sweet enough already. Our server, Tony, was very friendly, social, and attentive. Great service. 10/10 I also ended up buying a sweatshirt. It caught my eye lol. Next time we're in the area, we would try the French Onion Burger. :) And maybe some brunch items.
