My family and I visited Tom's this past weekend while we were having a relaxing getaway in the Poconos. We were originally going to stop at a bakery to get something for breakfast, but upon arriving there we discovered that they were closed for vacation. We then pulled out the Yelp app to see if there were any other good breakfast spots nearby. Lo and behold, Tom's was just a short drive down the street. This place is a total hidden gem tucked behind a gas station. Upon entering, we realized quickly that this was an establishment that the locals frequent. I ended up ordering the Eggs Benedict with Corned Beef Hash, Poached Eggs & Hollandaise on an English Muffin with Homefries off of the Specials Board. This was what I call authentic country cooking! Everything was perfect! My wife ordered Scrambled Eggs with Bacon, Homefries and Rye Toast and she said that it really hit the spot. Our son had Belgian Waffles with Bananas and Whipped Cream and he attacked it. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We are so happy that we discovered Tom's and we would definitely stop again on a future trip to the Poconos. read more

Love this tiny breakfast/lunch place. They have breakfast and lunch specials daily, and a pretty diverse regular menu. Today I ordered one of the lunch specials, roast beef and carmelized onions on grilled rye, served with au jus, fries, pickles and cole slaw. I asked the waitress to ask the kitchen to burn the fries, and they were perfect! Crispy and nicely brown. The sandwich was loaded with beef and the grilled rye was nice and crispy. Husband ordered his usual eggs, home fries and toast, and was very happy. Space is limited so be prepared to get cozy and rub elbows. read more

I'm a diner guy, and more specifically a breakfast diner guy. I haven't given many 5 star reviews but this place deserves 6. It's in the back of somewhat run down old mini shopping center. It may be hard to find but it's worth the effort. The place is tiny, maybe 10 tables. Very clean and pleasant country decor. The staff... never seen more than one waitress is great, good service and very pleasant... but the food is over the top. Everything is good but the sausage gravy is quite possibly the best thing I've ever tasted. Home fries are great as well. Overall great old school diner food done perfectly. read more
