Fork Street Bistro is an adorable casual restaurant in the Poconos, nearby to the Outlets and Tannersville, Great Wolf, and Camelback. We ate here twice while on vacation! VIBE: cozy living room with big picture windows, and kitschy like your aunt's house who likes to collect vintage glassware. Complete with a kid's play kitchen and a costume nook. Good number of tables for 2 to 8 people. Bathroom is large. They have a shelf in front where local artist put things to sell and fun seasonal decorations. STAFF: Friendly to new customers and regulars, and they treat each other like family. There was a baby being lovingly passed around at some point. There was no wait to sit down for breakfast/brunch. NOTE the kitchen is not super fast, probably a 15-20 minute wait for our dishes. Don't come if you're in a hurry. FOOD: We stuck with breakfast classics. The cinnamon roll pancakes are AMAZING. The apple french toast was phenomenal. The pastries are excellent. They also do potato pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage - reliable classics. Coffee is strong and they have fun flavor syrups. I was looking for a bakery in the Pocono area that would make a delivery. I called Fork Street Bistro and Bakery on a blind hope and got a voicemail. Pam called back expediently. I wanted cookies delivered to a Mt. Pocono for a birthday present. There was a wide variety of choices. I ordered 2 dozen; the price was so reasonable, I changed the order to 3 dozen. The cookies were delivered right on the time and day I requested. The recipient of the cookies said they were delicious! iI was a first time customer, but Pam treated me like a valued long time customer. What wonderful customer service and quality of products. Quiet, quaint place with interesting little knock knacks for sale. We went to grab a bite to go but was very underwhelmed with the food. The service was great and quick; albeit they didn't provide any utensils which was weird but I guess I should have asked for them? The bacon egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll 7/10 was average. Chocolate chip pancakes were the best of the meal 8/10. As soon as you walk in the service is friendly and inviting. The decor is so cool with antiques spattered around. Stopped in here for brunch on a recent trip back home to Michigan from New York. It was a little off the beaten path, but in a sweet small town I'd love to go back to and explore. I ordered the Monte Cristo with potato cakes, and my friend ordered "The Vermont," a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese. We were only able to eat half of our meals, they were so big! The restaurant's vibe was cool and cozy with vintage flair and lots of artwork on the walls, some available for purchase. After our brunch, we snagged a few treats from the bakery counter and I was able to purchase some locally-made coffee and honey. The Buckeye Bar was delightful, but I highly recommend the Millionare Shortbread Bar. It was unbelievably rich and tasty! (I should have bought them all!) Service was prompt and we only waited a few minutes to be served after ordering. The friendly staff, sweet home-town atmosphere, yummy food, and out-of-this-world desserts will bring me back, no questions asked! We got in and there was no wait to sit down. The waitress came over in under 5 minutes. The pumpkin iced latte was sooo delicious! We even got another one to go. My boyfriend got a platter, the pancakes had a buttery yummy pancakes with syrup. The sausage tasted fresh. The tomato basil soup was great as well! Found this place on yelp while driving home (to NY from NJ). Definitely worth the stop! Bright, homey decor, tables nicely spaced so no one was crowded. Service was very friendly and relaxed. Not slow by any means, but this isn't and quick in and out stop. We got lunch - the Reuben and the Cuban's Cousin. Both were great. The fries were perfectly seasoned, crunchy outside and soft inside. Updated review. A little disappointed today, which is surprising because I love Fork Street. My husband loved the avocado toast breakfast special, but my order was only meh. The florentine omelet was bland and very watery, and the wheat toast I got ordered was pale and soft and not really toasted at all. When I Yelp-searched "coffee" from our vacation rental, "Fork Street Bistro and Bakery" was the Number 1 search result. Their Yelp business categories include "Cafes", "Breakfast and Brunch" and "Bakeries". Fork Street has a 5 Star Rating in Yelp. Although the Fork Street crew was pleasant and the food that we ordered was generally good, I don't agree with the 5 Star rating. When a business has a 5 Star Yelp rating as a bakery and cafe and has a sign outside advertising coffee, I have certain expectations about the general nature of things that should be available. There should be a decent selection of things such as muffins, cookies, Danish, croissants, scones, pastries, etc. Especially in the Summer, there should be some sort of black cold brew or iced coffee option. We arrived around 8 am on a Sunday to get baked goods and/or other items for breakfast and a black iced coffee or cold brew. I quickly saw that there were very few breakfast-y baked goods in the case. Just crumb cake, one muffin and zucchini bread. I asked for the muffin and was told that it was spoken for. So there were only two choices. If Bakery is in your business name, you have to do a lot better than that, especially on a Sunday morning. I have never seen a bakery with fewer options early on Sunday morning. I asked about cold coffee options and I was told that they had Cold Brew. I ordered one. I waited for it to come out for a few minutes. The person helping me then conferred with another worker. She returned and told me that they only had DECAF cold brew. At 8 am on a Sunday. A cafe has to be more organized than that. Long story short, we ordered (1) a sausage, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll, (2) a BEC on a bagel, (3) a wrap with mushrooms, Swiss and spinach, (4) a piece of crumb cake, (5) a piece of zucchini bread and (6) an Iced Banana Fosters Latte. As I said at the outset, the food was generally good. If you're just looking for these sorts of things, I think you'd be satisfied. But if you are looking for a bakery or reliable place for black cold coffee, based on my experience, I think you should look elsewhere. Three Stars read more

I am staying in the area and wanted to go somewhere good for breakfast. Fork Street came up in my search and had good reviews. My husband and I gave it a try and it was just ok. I ordered egg whites, turkey bacon, and what they call like a hash round or circle. Turkey bacon and egg whites are pretty basic so no qualms there but the hash round was very dry and had no flavor. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and the Fork Street French Toast it wasn't very flavorful either. The service was a little slow but our server was very nice. I was really expecting more from here, it was just an ok breakfast. On the other hand the place was very cute with the decor and they had a little sitting area where you could wait and had little toys for kids. The food is as amazing. I had "The fiesta" burger and added bacon to it with a side of sweet potato fries. It was delicious. I would highly recommend. I also had the vanilla latte with oat milk and it was good. This place did not disappoint. I forgot to take a pic of the burger. Grabbed a "Jersey Meat" breakfast sandwich here (pork roll or Taylor ham, whatever you call it, I don't care to argue) and it was solid. A couple pieces of meat and they were grilled well, a couple eggs, and plenty of cheese. The roll was a bit pressed and maybe wasn't the best quality in the area, but it was still very good. Staying at Kalahari and chose to avoid the crazy expensive breakfast buffet and make the super short drive to Fork Street Bistro and we're so happy we did! The food, service and prices are unbeatable. Not to mention the extra special touch of giving our girls magic wands with their meal. Can't say enough good things about this place! read more

We are visiting from out of town and went into this bistro for lunch. We sat down at a table and waited, waited, waited for someone to just greet us or come over to us. Apparently, after reading some of the comments posted here on Yelp, we were supposed to order in the front of the coffee/bakery area. Unfortunately, we did not know this, nor did we see a sign that stated this and further, no employee was kind or attentive enough to walk over and communicate the ordering process. So we walked out. Perhaps the owners should train the staff a tad better to have situational awareness surrounding customers who may not know the ordering process. I was in town for my friend's Bachelorette party and we were just finishing up an escape room activity down the street. We saw this coffee shop/bistro and decided to pop in! It is very cute inside and very spacious! The chalkboard menu was very cute, had a lot of options, and the food all sounded delicious. I also loved to see that there were some coffee specials to try! Since we walked in as a group (about nine of us), I could tell that the employees automatically seemed a little annoyed/overwhelmed (but that is understandable). I ordered the Caramel Apple Latte and I attempted to order mac and cheese, but they were apparently all out unfortunately. I didn't review the menu enough for a backup option (since the menu is closer to when you walk in, not behind the employees at the counter), so I ended up not getting any food. The drinks definitely took a little while to make, I believe this is because they only had one or maybe two employees max working on the drinks. My caramel apple latte was delicious! I didn't realize that there was different sizes for the drinks, I didn't specify a size (so I assume I was automatically given the small), but I definitely would have gotten a larger drink if I realized! I found this place I never knew existed until I received a Yelp recommendation and looking for a quick lunch. Located off of 611 in Mt. Pocono, Fork Street Bistro and Bakery has a good mix of breakfast and lunch food that's served all day until 3 PM. I ordered the Junior Awesome Burger as it looked and sounded like the right proportion I needed. Order food at the counter for dining in or taking your food to go, but if you intend to eat in, you have to get your table. I found a table, but this place was busy and had only a couple left. The seating accommodates one person or several groups of people. The look of the interior is excellent. The staff was helpful and answered questions I had about the eatery. My food took about 20 minutes to get my food when I ordered my meal. The amount of food I got to price was fair.
