It's more so traditional Chinese massage than deep tissue or Swedish. She started with no oil, after a few minutes she asked if oil was okay. I said yes. She will also ask if you like soft, medium, or hard pressure, she also asks at different points in the massage if everything is alright. After she's finished massaging she will leave the room and come back with grab warm towels to get the oil off your body. She will let you know when she is finished. I did 4/5 stars because I was charged $65, instead of the $60 and because she asked for a tip at the end. I'm assuming this $5 a charge for paying with card, but it was not communicated ahead of time. Other than that I really enjoyed my massage.

He was not a little sick, but very sick. For the entire 90 minutes, we had to listen to him wheeze, snort, sniff, and rasp. Every breath he made was a reminder we had a sick person hanging over our body in a tiny room. He was forced to excuse himself from the room to cough, making the experience shorter than it should have been and additionally awkward. What's more, the man's fingernails were too long and my husband and I were left with marks. I could not wear the dress I bought especially for our anniversary dinner at Meridian because it showed the fresh, bloody scratches down my back. I can't speak for my husband on this account, but when I checked out at the register, I was made to wait for quite some time because the individual was busy. That's fine and I understood the rush, but when it came time for me to pay, the receptionist was still helping other people, so I had the receipt shoved in front of me and I was told I had to pay the required tip, but I was never asked how my experience actually was. I go out of my way to actively recommend people stay away from this spa now, and hope you do, as well.

The office is warm, quiet, and welcoming, and Dr. Du Moulin made it easy to talk about my health history, asked good questions, took a lot of notes, and showed a lot of empathy which meant a lot. And of course going to a ND means you aren't rushed out the door in 10 minutes after sitting in a waiting room for a half hour past your appointment time like at many MD's - we had a full hour and she was super comprehensive and explained things well. Also kudos to Erin (support staff) who was very nice, super responsive, organized, and was able to get me in on a Saturday before the holidays kicked off. Highly recommend looking beyond Astoria and Seaside and coming to Manzanita to see Dr Du Moulin!!
