I was desperate…read morefor help, new and naive to having independent insurance, and thought my insurance would cover most of the (as I now know) ridiculously overpriced sessions. I was charged out of pocket a "sliding scale" amount of $325 (which was still more than full price as far as any other therapist would go) promptly to my credit card after every single session, and at the same time they filed a claim with my insurance for the full price $500. This is double billing, which if not out right illegal is at best shady. When I called my insurance I was informed of not only this wrong doing, but that as standard practice, a provider, out of network or not, who files claims with an insurance is not supposed to charge anything to patient until it has been processed through insurance. Further more, I was informed per my insurance's regulation they are only allowed to charge me ~$60 a session since they filed claims and thus entered into a contract with my insurance. I have called them twice with a representative from my insurance to explain in no uncertain terms what the situation was and to give them a chance to refund me. This was met with polite stonewalling nonsense that "they were not obligated to my insurance's laws because they were out of network." When I emailed them with extensive proof of my insurance's legal policy for out-of-network providers that shows that they legally can only charge 15% more than my insurance's allowed amount, I have been met with crickets. Since they have refused to refund me, per the advice of multiple representatives, I have filed a fraud suit with my insurance. As for my experience with the actual people, I had an incredibly brief "intake interview" with the Dr. Zackson, who's primary mission seemed to be getting off the phone with me as soon as possible instead of listening to my symptoms, I was pushed to take a male therapist when I'd explicitly expressed I wanted a female one. Outside of this, all the employees I came into contact with were polite, helpful, and seemed compassionate. And though I did not want a male therapist, I found use and made progress in the therapy I received before stopping treatment. But I cannot excuse this blatant exploitation of the vulnerable and the incredible audacity to continue to spout nonsense and withhold my money (which I desperately need as a self-supporting college student) when they are being confronted with the obvious reality of their wrong doing from multiple authoritative sources. Absolutely insidious behavior for a practice that claims to be about helping people.

Knew names of 2 nurses that stood out for their professionalism and care : Edguardo (4th floor)and Renee(3rd floor) RN Joanne appeared to act better than the others but was actually the worst - spoke to visitors with an attitude. She took away from the decent image I took Sky View for. CNAs did the best they could with the staff that they had each day. Seemed to exhibit comradeship. Food was well prepared -- Dining Room staff is scarce. Took nearly 1 1/2hrs to have 80+ y.o wait for their full lunch. Have entertainment/patio BBQs/ "gardening" using an elevated window box - holiday parties(those are actually impressive and memorable to spend with your loved one) Won't say I wouldn't recommend, but like ANY Nursing Home, yes it's a Nursing Home, you have to do your homework and be ahead in the know at all times with what occurs.

That appointment takes about 1 hour and reviews your issues at great detail. We also started the treatment right away and I received a customized exercise plan for home too. Scheduling an appointment is a bit tough as they are in high demand but they call you if a last minute cancellation occurs. I was fortunate and only had to wait 2 days. One "gripe" is the somewhat redundant paperwork but it was worth it in the end. I also recommend to book follow-up appointments right away for at least three weeks out. Didn't I say they are in demand because they are just awesome.

I was in labor for three days and stayed at the hospital for five and my husband and I still rave about how well we (plus our girl!) were treated. What a warm all-star team, from our midwife Linda to Katelyn our nurse and our OB Dr. Shaw, who made giving birth one of the biggest, coolest, bravest things I could do. I'd always heard that Northern Westchester has got a great labor and delivery dept but this went beyond anything I dreamed. Plus, the food is unreal. Feasting on salmon, chicken quesadillas, pancakes, and green smoothies pre and post-birth? Your own room? 24-hour nonstop help and advice? A first-time-parent's dream. 5 stars!!!!

March 3, 2021: One year, 7 physical therapists, and 12 doctors later, I have been diagnosed with…read morecongenital hip dysplasia, cam impingement, and they also found labral separation. It is believed that my legs were pulled in the position they had me during the botox procedure causing further hip pain. It is unfortunate that I have been treating my symptoms in the wrong order as many of my symptoms did not manifest until the day I had my procedure at Maze Clinic. I am still having moderate to significant pain in my groin, lower abdomen, lower back, and have consistent vulvodynia and pudendal neuralgia symptoms as well SI joint inflammation consistent with sacroiliitis/degenerative change. All of these symptoms began immediately after having the botox procedure here with the aggressive dilation. May 2, 2022:  I recently had stage IV endometriosis (adhesions, lesions, and cysts) excised in addition to having two PAOs where my hip dysplasia, impingement, and chondral labral separation, and SI joint inflammation were also causing significant pain. The endometriosis was everywhere, specifically behind the rectovaginal area, and most likely present when I had this procedure as well because I had debilitating dysmenorrhea that was overlooked. Endometriosis can cause deep dyspareunia, superficial dyspareunia, vulvodynia symptoms, hypertonic pelvic floor and more. It's just unfortunate that none of these were diagnosed or appeared earlier prior to doing this procedure. This is a common problem as many people face dismissal and are misdiagnosed over and over. I was told by many physicians and physical therapists including this place before this treatment that I just needed the "extra push." My vaginismus/hypertonicity is just a symptom compared to everything else. I also most likely have congenital neuroproliferative vestibulodynia - overgrowth of nerve endings at the vulvar vestibule - which is often mistaken for vaginismus for many patients. There is a tremendous lack of knowledge/literature in the relationship between hip abnormalities and pelvic floor dysfunction. Hip dysplasia and/or impingement can lead to hypertonic pelvic floor and labral tears which can cause pelvic pain, SI joint inflammation, and symptoms that mimic pudendal neuralgia/vulvodynia and bladder urgency. Most pelvic floor PT exercises STRETCH and RELAX the muscles surrounding the hip, which is actually the OPPOSITE of what you need to do with hip abnormalities (dysplasia and impingement) since it can cause further damage and exacerbate pain symptoms. The bottom line is that I needed real surgical interventions - 3 SURGERIES with leading surgeons before I could even come close to treating the sexual dysfunction and hypertonicity. No amount of dilation or botox would have helped any of this. My hips, buttocks, and lower back have little to no pain anymore and strengthening has had the best benefit for me. To both patients and providers, attend an ISSWSH annual meeting or course to learn more about sexual health and stay up to date with the recent literature. Pelvic floor dysfunction can have many causes and misdiagnoses are common. If you are someone with a long history of pelvic pain, tightness, and the pain exists not just internally there may be something else at play. Also, if pelvic floor PT doesn't help or makes things worse, please go to another specialist and/or have a sacrum, pelvis, lumbar spine, and hip MRI/CT scan first. Please consider hip abnormalities, endometriosis, SI joint dysfunction, and vestibulodynia, and screen your patients for lower back, lower abdomen, and hip pain too.

They treat you like a friend, not just a patient. Administrative help run a tight ship in payment, scheduling and staying on top of things. Equipment inventory is huge, with more new devices coming almost daily. Rob the owner and head therapist runs a terrific clinic, and it keeps getting better every day.
