He did call to let me know but it was a little annoying to get these calls every half an hour for several hours. I asked for various things to be put up on the wall. He got the stuff up fairly quickly, but he put in quite a few holes more than necessary mostly because the walls reacted badly in some places. (One of the extra holes resulted from him just being careless about measurement.) He said that you never know how a wall is going to react, and the walls were really ruined in several places. Maybe it's true that there is no way to tell how the material is going to react, but he didn't bring any materials to fix the terrible rippling holes left in the wall. I had to call another handyman afterwards to fix that!
