We arrived on a hot summer morning. It was pretty quiet overall. Nice and peaceful. $20 to enter (there are student and military discounts). $1 for fish and turtle food. We spent about an hour here, walked around about two times. Loved the coy pond and the statue animals. After we left we saw a bunch of kids come in for field trips. I enjoyed my experience!

Nice place for a stroll. Definitely a smaller garden space than say a Bok Tower which is a bit more local to me. Plenty of plants and flowers to look at and the walking space is well marked and obvious. The map they give you at the entrance maybe isn't the best, but we still managed to make it around the entire garden with a pit stop at the rest room. Was nice to check off to say I'd been there and was great walk and read and learn, not sure there's much reason to go back though.

Extremely beautiful and well maintained!! Need more gardens like this in the world and some great plant specimen worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.

I wandered through this garden today and found that Mounts Botanical Garden is not just a beautiful scenic garden, it is an educational experience. Mounts Garden offers 25 theme gardens like the herb garden, rose garden, butterfly garden, succulent garden and the tranquility garden. Each garden is a different experience and all well maintained by the staff. There are many paved pathways for easy strolling. Numerous benches under the trees for resting and admiring the beautiful scenic views of the gardens. There is also an all greenery maze that spikes your curiosity and great for children to play hide-and-seek. There is couple of bridges where you can look down and watch the Koi fish swimming in the pond. Great place to learn about all kinds of species of tropical plants and culinary herb plants. There are guided tours available or you can take a stroll on your own. Enjoy seasonal exhibitions and the many sculptures through out for amazing photo op. Perfect for students, families and anyone who enjoys nature and learning about plants. Be sure to check out the Garden memberships they have different levels like the Avid Gardner one adult for $60. All memberships gets you free admission maybe early access to events and special exhibits through out the year depending on the membership level. I will certainly come back and visit this serene and beautiful garden.

Good for a 1H hang out. A bit pricey for what it is, $15 would have been more appropriate. You are also getting the Florida special with an airport next to it. It's loud and smell fuel. Other than this, they have cool trees, koi fishes and a vegetable garden.

Great visit to the botanical garden through our AHS Reciprocal membership. The grounds were well maintained and we enjoyed the kitchen garden and spice garden in addition to the water features. The garden is nearby palm beach airport so it is great if you are waiting for a pickup or have a few hours before your flight. There is airplane activity due to how close it is to a runway but the grounds are peaceful when there isn't a plane landing. We sat for a bit and enjoyed the gazebo and the lake.

I went with my son to their Illumina light show. It was really quit beautiful. The light features were made with a framework covered in a colorful nylon fabric with lights inside. Many floral and big beautiful butterflies, other bugs, snowmen, lots of things. The dragon was amazing! Some had moving parts and others had sound. I'm so glad we went. Tickets were $26 for adults, kids were less.

Our daughter and son-in-law moved from Jacksonville to West Palm Beach for a new job a few months ago. While we were down here visiting our daughter suggested we go to Mounts Botanical Gardens. Wow this is a nice garden! We loved it as well as our grandkids. A lot of times when my wife and travel with our Rv we always try and fine a botanical garden in the area. This garden has a lot of shade which is nice when it's blazing hot. The garden has a lot of different varieties of flowers and tropical plants. We stayed here for about 2.5 hours. We could have stayed a lot longer but the grandkids were getting hungry for lunch. The garden closes at 4pm. I think if you arrive around 11am or 12pm and take your time walking around looking at the plants and fish in the ponds you can be done around 3 to 4pm. Definitely recommend the Mounts Botanical Garden!

This place is simply magical. I've gone many times, and each time I find something different. Beautiful, leisurely stroll through the grounds, there's a garden center to purchase plants, and a gift shop with cute items, as well. Bring a lunch and a friend and you have a great day in store. If you want to decompress and ground yourself, come to Mounts Botanical Garden. It's truly a gem.

Wasn't too impressed with the gardens. They had already set up the holiday junk and that took over the park. There wasn't much to see in the park and it was pretty small also.

We've been here several times over the years, but I think my very old reviews have dropped off the Yelp site. I love botanical gardens and try to visit one wherever we travel. This one is over 40 years old and has grown. In the past we came here to explore and one time to sample various exotic fruits and vegetables that can be grown in Florida. This time we visited during the plant palooza. In addition to vendors selling various plants, there were also other things for sale -- like honey and jewelry, etc. Plus you could enjoy the regular gardens and take in the special exhibit of metal sculpted frog sculptures displayed throughout. It was hot even early in the day so we were glad we'd dressed appropriately. The gardens are about 20 acres and we walked quite a bit of it. I love seeing the vegetable and herb gardens alongside the wetlands area as well as all the trees and bushes. Some are tropical and some sub tropical and everything is marked. It was quite busy when we went. We never did make it to their gift shop, I'm sorry to say. Nor to any of the food vendors set up. And we could only walk so much without an occasional bench rest. We did get to see the bubble machine which some kids were enjoying running through. We talked to a lot of the plant vendors -- about their various offerings and got some good advice. And we wound up buying some herb plants and one key lime tree. If you haven't been, I might suggest you putting it on your "to see" list. It's educational as well as enjoyable. And convenient to access right off Military Trail.

Plantapalooza ... Great event and multiple Plant and craft vendors. Saw lots of our favorites and bought five plants to try at home. Next event in April.

My sister from out of town came here with me for the Ilumina event. We were more than impressed with the size of the lanterns and the amount there were. We loved all of them but the smoke breathing moving dragon suspended above water was the most impressive. I've actually been here during the day before and it's really nice. You can pay for fish/turtle food and feed the Koi. It's quite relaxing with the exception of the airplanes flying overhead every 20 minutes (it is next to PBI airport). It's a small garden so the grounds aren't huge and we walked through it all in an hour. But I'd highly recommend going to Ilumina before it closes. You can get a lot of amazing pictures. Parking was free and was easy since they have staff directing you. You can reserve online but we bought tickets ($26 per person) when we got there (it was the same price). The online tickets have an arrival time but if you're early they are flexible. It's sorta a hidden gem so it wasn't overcrowded on a Saturday evening. Regular bathrooms and a gift shop are also available. I'd love to come back and support this business.

The atmosphere feels grand and almost surreal -- high ceilings, intricate hand-crafted details, beautiful paintings, and original interiors that have been preserved so carefully. Walking through the rooms feels like stepping back in time. The closets, bathrooms, and living spaces are all still there, untouched, which makes the experience even more special. One detail that really surprised me was the shoes -- they were incredibly tiny, almost like doll shoes. It's amazing to see how different things were back then. On my recent visit, I noticed they opened a new section on the second floor that I hadn't seen before. It's a mix of contemporary art and historical fashion elements -- including clothing details, vintage shoe boxes, and personal items from the original residents. I especially loved the miniature handbags and a wall art piece featuring delicate gloves -- so small, elegant, and made from very fine leather. There are so many unique details to take in. There's also a gift shop on the first floor with a great selection -- we even picked up a Monopoly game themed around the museum, which was such a fun find. They also have books, coloring items, posters, jewelry, accessories, and even small unique souvenirs -- something for everyone. Another highlight is the separate glass building . They recently opened a café there that serves breakfast on weekends. The view is stunning -- overlooking the water with the historic train nearby. The space is bright, clean and very peaceful. The only inconvenience I experienced was when my kids were younger -- strollers are not allowed inside, so keep that in mind if you're visiting with small children. Luckily, I had a baby sling with me, which helped a lot.

On the last night of the event at 5 PM my friend sent me a text that she wanted to go so off we went. I am so glad we did because I loved it. The garden hired an outside company to decorate it and I thought they did a a very nice job. My favorite lights were the plastic palm trees but I thought all of the decorations were very classy. Not all of the garden was open but a good portion was. I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. As we strolled Christmas music played throughout the garden. I enjoyed taking pictures and getting to wring out a last little bit of the holiday season. Our visit took an hour and then we headed over for snacks and drinks at Old Key Lime House. I didn't mind the $10 entrance fee because I know it goes to support the garden. The best way to visit is definitely during the day when you can see all the plants and flowers. A new exhibit called TWISTED: Patrick Dougherty Entwined is opening in January. It was still very nice to see the garden lit up at night too. I definitely enjoyed my visit to the night garden.

The project was designed as a meditation garden and it opened in December of 2018 in front of the Broadstone Apartments in West Palm Beach. The garden is part of the West Palm Beach's Art in Public Places program which requires developers to either donate to a public art fund or build public art on their site. In this case they chose to create art. The artists worked in collaboration with Alliance Residential Company which developed the apartments at the corner of Datura Street and Dixie Highway. Alliance donated 10,000 square feet of their property in order to fulfill the requirement. City Zen Garden was designed to draw people in. It has a circular courtyard with a small amphitheater with curved benches that was created to foster impromptu performances. Surrounding the amphitheater are large cubes for sitting and reading. Beju's contribution to the project were the large copper statues he named Dudali which is an inversion of the name Alley Dudes which is where they used to be displayed. One of the statues is sitting in a meditation lotus position which brings Zen to the garden. Rounding out the garden is a wood pathway, stones, recycled blue glass, bamboo, tropical trees, flowers, and a fountain. The garden is hidden from the sidewalk by a wall of bamboo but if you look closely there is an opening. It gives you the feeling of being in a secret garden. I love the feeling of serenity you get from this pocket of art and nature. The garden is in keeping with West Palm Beach's goal of creating a more walkable community. As people walk by they are encouraged to take a detour into this interesting space. Even though the garden is on the apartment property it is free and open to everyone to visit.
