I hate to be THAT person but if I am going to splurge on a takeout meal and that too, a not-so-healthy meal, then I expect it to be fairly decent and not a complete flop. First of all, there was literally no variety to the menu. The different menu items literally consisted of the same fried chicken sandwich only with a different sauce or additional condiments. Nevertheless, I got the Nashville Fire, which had the most variety of sauces/condiments and the only way I could describe it while being honest was that it was a complete mess. The sandwich was completely doused with sauce and resulted in a totally soggy sandwich. The fried chicken itself tasted overcooked, which is literally the one thing you don't want in fried chicken. If someone is desperate for fried chicken then I can maybe understand why they would turn to this truck to satisfy their craving. However, I think there are better places out there such as Starbird (yes, a chain restaurant) to get a decent fried chicken sandwich.

The pupusa's were unusual than any item of food of its similar kind but they were approximately 3 to 4 inches in diameter and with no frills/no extras. Then last night at the Day on the Ridge event in Eagle Ridge, the Papusa Lady's food truck was present and the experience far surpassed my first one. The pupusa was approximately 5 to 6 inches in diameter and was accompanied by a small container of sour cream (enough to smear on the entire pupusa), hot sauce, an amazingly tasting of some type of flavored rice with cilantro, and a delicious (and also unique tasting) coleslaw - all for only $10!! Excellent experience which I'm very thankful for. Kudos to the Pupusa Lady's food truck last night.

If you're looking for a catering food truck for a small lunch window that delivers high quality and very quick service, I HIGHLY recommend Fire and Rice. Their Hawaiian Asian fusion menu is unique and stands out compared to other Asian or poke trucks I've tried. The garlic shoyu chicken and tuna poke were my personal favorites. I tried some of my coworkers garlic shrimp & Miso tofu too...surprisingly pretty GOOD! It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.
