So sorry I've been away for a while my fellow fooodies!!! Just been dealing with mental health and stuff but today my wife and I wanted to come out and try a friend of mine, families food truck!! And l try my best to not be biased so I'll give my most honest review To start off my wife got the Quesabirrias! And she loved them! Little problem was... she did find a hair in it but that didn't dissuade here from trying and loving the dish! The consomè did not have much flavor and was lacking that good kick of dipping it in and soaking up all the juices but the quesabirria itself was crunchy and cheesy and it had a nice balance! For myself I got the tritrip sandwich! And let me tell you... it was AMAZING! The triptip was tender and very flavorful! Still crispy and the bread was toasted just right! The bbq sauce was delicious! Not too sure if it's homemade or store bought but still amazing nonetheless. The chef/owner is very kind and very welcoming! Will definitely be coming back!

Food is tasty with an authentic Mexican taste and season. Best quesabirria and Tri-tip sandwich in town. But what I love the most is their costumer service and how welcoming they are towards each costumer. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed with a great atmosphere and vibe. Lovely ladies

If you think you have had great quesabirrias before you have no idea what you are missing out till you try the ones from Ricky's grill they are my favorite . Have had from other places not even close to the delicious flavor these have to offer along with the broth I will return for more

Take the tennant offramp and turn right. Someone created a concrete pad with custom picnic bench seating. There are 2 food trucks/stands there, a bbq one and one serving home style mexican food. The seating area is shaded. Was 95 degrees in gilroy but there was a constant breeze. Very enjoyable. ColeSlaw: mayo with standard sliced cabbage from the restaurant supply store. Too sweet for me but kids would inhale this stuff. Beans: very good, maybe cheese in them? Not the standard pinto bean bbq sauce too sweet combo. Maybe some jalapeno in them? 3 ribs: very good, bones fell off the meat. Can see the pink smoke ring. These aren't the standard boil them first throw them on a smoker for half hour ribs. They have a heavy smoked flavor. Such a better dining/food experience than anything at or near the outlet mall. Just go another exit up and take a right at the exit if going north.

Service is fast and it at the old farmer market. Food taste good. However, price has gone up but size has gone down. $14 for a small sandwich with not sides. It is nice to get outside which makes a nice ambiance.

Me is really, really really pink did not eat it and paid good money for it just saying, but I will go here again. It may just be a mishap.

Nice people food is good however I have a little problem with the ribs and I will show a picture. I will go here again. Hopefully maybe they will cook the meat this time lol i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was just a mishap

    Deep fried quesbirria

Pretty disappointing. They deep fry their quessabirrias now. We didn't expect this at all. We've been coming here for some time.

We came by for lunch and had the BBQ chicken, tri tip and ribs. They were all so good. Full of flavor, moist. I got tomato rice and beans for my sides. They also had grilled onions, jalapeño and salsa as condiments. I'm picky with my BBQ and would fly to Texas to get my BBQ fix. Now I don't have to travel far anymore. Best BBQ in the area. You won't be disappointed.

I had their Tacos Dorados with the beef birria and they were soooooooo good! These things might just be habit forming...

Great little taco truck right off 101 at Tennant. The tacos are so good! Can't believe how many times I've driven by and not stopped. What a waste.

Tri Tip Sandwich w/ rice & coleslaw

We were in the mood for some bbq but upon arriving we saw they also were serving birria tacos dorados, birria burritos, birria tortas and birria de plato. We ordered a birria burrito, 3 tacos dorados, 1 tri tip sandwich with sides & another without sides. Our total was $50, a little pricey. The tri tip sandwich was small with not much meat inside. Sides were about a scoop of ice cream. Coleslaw was tasty, rice was missing a little bit of flavor. The tacos were crunchy and cheesy. Good portion of consume. Side Note: cashier didn't have a face mask on while taking our order from inside the truck.

The brisket and tri-tip were the shining stars here. Tender, juicy, and meaty. Good cuts of meat, and it's clear they put time into their processes. Everything sounded delicious, but I opted for the Pop"s Pub burger. I figured that would be a good starting point to get a feel of how good the food is. The burger was good, but not $21.00 good. The fries were tasty ,and I really enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The burger itself came with lettuce , tomato and a house sauce (thousand island blend). The burger was cooked perfectly , and tasted pretty good. However, when you add a $10.00 IPA to the equation and throw in a tip- I was out $41.00. I didn't like my meal enough to spend that kind of money. For a burger to be this pricey, I needed more. This place seems like a cool place to chill ,watch a game, and enjoy a cold beer. I may just do that next time and skip the meal. The service was poor. Once my food was dropped off , I never heard from the lady again to check on me until she dropped off the check.

Everything in my life changed. I never used to eat at McDonalds, but after I got out of the hospital, I eat there a lot (it's all I can afford - if that) and I'm always trying to pay attention to the McD points so I can get more food. That being said, going to Chama is either because of some miraculous unplanned result, or deliberately saving money for the better part of a year. The worst result of my new life with these injuries is I can't take care of M as much as I'd like. We did take M to Chama for her birthday a couple years ago and she has always been wanting to go back every day since then. Recently, she requested to choose where we would have dinner, and in addition she said we couldn't change her mind. We weren't even sure until we arrived that she had chosen Chama (so that implies Chama is her favorite restaurant - even though she's been to a lot of nice places including in Monterey and on the ocean side). We could only afford to get just M a meal and Grace was really nervous that us being on a really obvious budget and being out of place would cause the staff to be upset or impatient with us. Actually, the staff was super nice and accommodating to M, and to all of us. That could only happen because the Chama staff and Terry our waitress treated us like family. If you put me at the McD ordering kiosk, I'm pretty good at navigating my way through ordering and making sure I use up my points before they expire. But we were lost as to how ordering worked at Chama, and I couldn't remember anything I learned from the last couple times before when I was there. Terry was really patient explaining how to order, and helped M choose a meal option / buffet that was perfect for her. All three times I've been there the staff has been great. Recently was M's second time and we appreciated that the staff would be so kind to a child. There's something special and permanent about a child's memory eating at their favorite restaurant in the world. We appreciate that Chama staff and Terry made the effort to make that dinner magical and inviting. We have a really good memory now of a family together having that amazing experience. I like M had an unusual opportunity to plan our evening and restaurant choice, she did make the plans, and she had such a memorable shared adventure and outcome. Thank you!

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress. She said we could sit wherever we wanted, asked if we've been in before, and told us about the specials. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed one of the slushies was non-alcoholic so I might try that next time. We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and the Supreme wood-fired pizza. The burger was fantastic! The BBQ sauce was delicious, the bacon and onion rings were crispy, and the fries were great. I enjoyed the chili, but I didn't think the cheese sauce or sour cream really stood out. I thought the crust on the pizza was perfect, I really enjoyed the wood-fired vibe and fresh toppings. This would probably be my favorite pizza if they used better mozzarella. For now, Bizza is holding the top spot for me since they use Butcher's Son mozzarella, and in my opinion, it's the best vegan mozzarella sub I've ever had from pizza spots so far. Even though I have notes, I still think the overall meal was a home run and the staff were super friendly so they get 5-stars in my book.
